The (Green) Wrath of (Genghis) Khan!

[ X-Posted at David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ... check it out!]

His is a name that resonates across the centuries as one of the most brutal and genocidal warlords in humanity’s history.

He was such an evil man, he was selected by rock-lobster aliens to represent the abstract concept of evil, alongside 1960s actors Phillip Pine and Carol Daniels DeMent.

His reign of terror extended across Asia, the Middle East, and Eurasia, claiming the lives of over 40 million people—roughly decimating (yes, I used the term correctly) the human population, on his own.

The very mention of his name makes William Shatner’s blood run cold. He is… Genghis Khan.

Amanda Marcotte Is Not a Serious Person

(Hide yer kids, hide yer wife, e’rrybody readin’ Right Turns Only out hurr! Check it out today!)

There’s an old saying, “when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.” However, if you are progressive blogger Amanda Marcotte, when all you have is a “feminist blog” called "Pandagon " everything looks like woman-hating.

Ignoring, for a moment, her willfully ignorant accusations that “the violent, paranoid, lying rhetoric on the right” caused the Tuscon shooter to shoot—among others—Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (we now know that no one really believes this theory, except MSNBC viewers ), and mind-numbing freshman-level rants about how Loughner’s confrontations with Giffords were really attempts at asserting his manly superior over the congresswoman, Marcotte’s latest word-salad offers up a knee-slapper of an idea: if Jared Lougher was politically a conservative (a theory not supported by the facts ), and conservatives hate women (another idea not supported by the facts—just ask South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, Sarah Palin, or any number of the other so-called “Mama Grizzlies” that 2010 saw ), a priori , Loughner shot Giffords because he hated women.

As you can see, Marcotte doesn’t torture logic, so much as run it through a woodchipper and then smoke the remains in a water bong.

And to think that, she used to be the New Media voice of the John Edwards for President 2004 campaign—before she was let go by the campaign for what ABC News called, “comments about other people’s faiths [that] could well be construed as hate speech.” John Edwards, hardly a vanguard of conservative thought, noted that he was “personally offended” by Marcotte’s statements on behalf of his campaign.

In 2006, Marcotte wrote, in defense of stripper Crystal Gail Mangum, that people who questioned Mangum’s story of being raped by the Duke University lacrosse team, were, quote, “rape-loving scum” who “scream “[expletive] at black women and joke about killing and raping them.”

By Marcotte’s definitions, the North Carolina State Attorney General’s Office is “rape-loving scum,” as the state formally declared that the lacrosse team “[was] innocent of all charges,” noting that the charges never should have been brought."

Reason Magazine contributing editor Cathy Young wrote of Marcotte, whom she terms the “"leader of the cyber-lynch mob in the Duke University rape hoax ,” in "Marcotte’s eyes, the real crime of the ‘independent feminists’ is helping preserve the idea that the presumption of innocence applies even in cases of rape and sexual assault ."

In 2008, Marcotte published a book entitled It’s a Jungle Out There: The Feminist Survival Guide to Politically Inhospitable Environments. Showing all of her usual political civility and humanity, the image she chose for the book’s cover featured a “pulp cover of a gorilla carrying a scantily clad woman,” and featured illustrations of blue-eyed, blonde-haired “superheroes” pummeling black African “savages.”

Facing a blowback of epic proportions for her naked racism and hatred, Marcotte and her publisher apologized, and republished her “guide” without illustrations. In other words, Marcotte wasn’t allowed to have pictures in her book, because she couldn’t be trusted not to be an immature hate-monger.

It should come to no one’s surprise that Marcotte, a victim of her own raging passions (as opposed to not just saying the first thing that pops into her head full of progressive mush), is to this day—a full week after the Tucson shootings—still trying to make sense of the senseless , by fitting the facts into her comfortable narrative of “woman-haters” and “misogyny.”

If we are to accept President Obama’s call for more civility and tolerance in our daily lives, unhinged wingnuts such as Marcotte are precisely the kind of person we need to exclude from polite society. Whether it be her schtick of rushing blindly to be the first one to cast a stone against perceived villains, or her hateful, absolutist venom, Marcotte and her ilk do no progressives no favors in advancing their causes.

But what do I know? I’m conservative and have a Y chromosome—to Marcotte and other unserious people like her, people like me pulled the trigger in Tuscon, not Jared Lee Loughner.

Unilateral Disarmament Is For Suckers: Don’t Be Fooled By Calls For “Civility”

[ X-Posted at David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ... check it out!]

Wednesday night, President Obama spoke at a memorial service for the victims of Jared Lee Lougher’s rampage in Tuscon, Arizona. On the surface, his speech was fairly bland, and thankfully, mostly free of political grandstanding.

Left behind in Air Force One’s carry-on rack was the Obama who gave us such peaceful, calm rhetoric as “if they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” calling Republicans “hostage-takers,” and exhorting them to “sit in the back.”

To the cheers of thousands of starstruck University of Arizona students, who apparently did not get the memo that they were attending a memorial service for people who died in a senseless attack—as opposed to catching a basketball game after pre-gaming with their frat buddies at Omega Digamma Alpha—President Obama, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet “Report It If It’s Suspicious” Napolitano , and Attorney General Eric “Nation of Cowards” Holder each gave speeches in honor of the fallen, and in support of the recovering survivors, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ).

Surprisingly, Obama did not wring his hands about crosshairs or political metaphors. He exhorted us not to “use this tragedy as one more occasion to turn on one another,” calling for all Americans to “make sure that we are talking with each other in a way that heals, not a way that wounds.”

Of course, conservatives have been saying this for the past few days, that the professional Left’s response to the Tuscon Massacre was political in nature , and that we shouldn’t be “pointing fingers” at each other.

For days, Democratic Party strategists were calling for Obama to use the murders in Arizona as a political bludgeon against conservatives . Paul Krugman deviated from his usual atavistic chanting of “John Maynard Keynes… John Maynard Keynes…” to blame the “the crowds at the McCain-Palin rallies”—and indeed, Sarah Palin herself—for pulling the trigger of Loughner’s gun that fateful Friday afternoon.

Mind you, he must have written this affront to decency mere moments after the bodies in Tuscon hit the ground, as his column was published Friday afternoon. And it’s conservatives who are the ones who are being uncivil.

This is highly ironic , because Krugman once called for Senator Joe Lieberman to be “hung.” A new tone in politics, indeed!

What is being asked of conservatives is not civility, it’s a unilateral disarmament. For almost a decade, the Left openly called for the murder of Republicans and conservatives . Some enterprising little progressives even made a movie about killing a sitting president , to the applause of progressives.

In 2006, then New York state comptroller Alan Hevesi quipped , to much applause, that Representative Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was someone who “would put a bullet between […] [President Bush’s] eyes, if he could get away with it.”

Progressives have no intention of “toning it down,” but they do have every intention of shutting up conservatives. Already, the third most powerful Democrat in Congress, James Clyburn, is preparing legislation that would regulate the media to ensure “balance” and “fairness.”

Not surprisingly, as Clyburn is as progressive as they come, Clyburn blames “vitriol in public discourse”—a dog-whistle for “conservative speech” if one ever existed—for the shooting. No stranger to conspiracy theories that facts don’t support , Clyburn also believes that failed US Senate candidate Alvin Greene was a Republican plant.

I, for one, will not be joining in this “new tone” of politics until I see progressives toning themselves down. Until then, it’s this conservative’s opinion that we should give as good as we get, and not be lulled into complacency by the words of lotus-eaters speaking of utopia.

Hope for the Unemployed: If Helen Thomas Can Find a Job, So Can You!

[X-Posted at David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog... check it out!]

As the economy spits and sputters towards recovery, there are signs of hope starting to sprout out there for us job-seekers. One of those signs of recovery is proof that even the most odious and repugnant job seekers can find gainful employment if they just look in the right places.

Yes, even if you believe that Hollywood and Washington have been taken over by “Zionists,” like Helen Thomas.

Thomas, who was fired by Hearst Newspapers in June 2010 for suggesting that Israelis living in Israel should “get the hell out of Palestine” and “go home to Germany,” was recently hired by the Falls Church News-Press as a columnist, to much fanfare. Well, as much fanfare as one of those underground progressive weekly fishwraps can give.

Helen Thomas’s new gig has a total circulation of 30,000, which is quite a smaller market than she may be used to. Before she went full-retard and was fired, much to the dismay of al-Qaeda (seriously) and the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Thomas enjoyed the perks of being a syndicated columnist for one of the largest newspaper conglomerates in the nation, and sat in the vaunted front-row seat of the White House press pool. Now, she writes for a newspaper that was voted “Best Remnant of the Liberal Media” in 2008.

News-Press editor Nicholas Benton, who is a former member of the certifiably-insane political movement to get Lyndon LaRouche elected President, writes that he “[remains] firmly convinced that she is neither bigoted, nor racist, nor anti-Semitic.” Except when she tells a Jew to go back to Germany, of course.

As a LaRouchite, Benton campaigned on the winning campaign planks of building a land bridge across the world, fighting the British Queen’s insidious plot to rule the world, and colonizing Mars by 2025. If that doesn’t scream “whackadoodle,” I don’t know what does.

So take heart, all you unemployed folks looking for work! No matter how extreme, socially unacceptable or backwards your beliefs are, all you have to do is find your own Lyndon LaRouche-loving, underground news rag-publishing progressive sugar daddy, and people will be using your anti-Semitic rants to line birdcages and housebreak the new puppy again in no time flat!

The Blue and “Teh Ghey”—A Brewing Civil War on the Right?

[X-Posted at David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog... check it out!]

Beware the homosexual conservative!

That’s what some social-conservative groups are warning organizers of the Conservative Political Action Conference this week, as two socially conservative advocacy groups announced that they would be boycotting the yearly political convention, started by the American Conservative Union and Young Americans for Freedom.

In the latest of a series of self-immolations, the group Concerned Women of America and the Family Research Council announced Monday that they would be boycotting CPAC because conservative group GOProud had been invited to participate. Today, conservative media watchdog group Media Research Council announced that it was also considering boycotting CPAC.

GOProud, founded by Christopher R. Barron and Jimmy LaSalvia, advocates small government conservatism at the level of federal public policy, and is famous for becoming the first gay rights organization to campaign against Democratic candidates, and for Republicans; their commercial, titled “The Real Democrats of Washington, DC,” attacked the openly gay Representative, Barney Frank, as well as Sen. Barbara Boxer and soon-to-be-former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Conservative punditress and former National Organization for Women chapter president Tammy Bruce was invited by Barron and LaSalvia to take a leadership position in GOProud, adding to their right-wing street cred by leaps and bounds.

GOProud has been a controversial issue at CPAC, as some leading social conservatives were afraid that they would catch the virulent and deadly virus called “Teh Ghey,” if they were seen in public with conservative people who were sexually attracted to members of the same sex. Or something. I’m a bit fuzzy on why it matters what a person does in the privacy of his or her bedroom, as long as it doesn’t affect me, and is legal.

The first hint that social conservatives might have a problem with inviting Chris Barron—who is hardly a squishy moderate, if being the organizer of the Draft Cheney 2012 organization is any measure of Barron’s conservative chops—was in 2010, when anti-gay activist and “Young Americans for Freedom” organizer Ryan Sorba was invited to give a speech about his efforts to expose ACORN’s anti-American activities… and decided to condemn CPAC and everyone attending.

I’m sad to say that I shared the stage with Sorba, as I had been invited to speak on the panel for my efforts to expose government corruption going on in the People’s Republik of Athens, Ohio. As I say in a TownHall.com column about Sorba’s CPAC shenanigans, “every single person on stage with him was fighting the urge to facepalm.” I know I certainly was.

If you recall, Sorba’s on-stage bigotry was met by the filled-to-capacity Marriott Wardman Park Hotel auditorium booing him off the stage, much to the confusion and chagrin of progressive pundits who were hoping to see applause and approval.

While progressives are salivating over the idea of a crack-up on the Right over distractions such as GOProud members’ sexual orientations, we need to remember that such a potentially disasterous civil war isn’t inevitable, and is definitely something to be avoided. So stop trying to start a civil war and start fighting the real enemy, you guys.

As we head into 2011 with a new majority in the US House of Representatives, and across America in local and state governments, obviously the Left will try to drive us apart and get us fighting against ourselves. It’s the oldest trick in the book: divide and conquer. Set Group A against Group B, let them fight and bleed each other, and then conquer both.

One would think that conservatives of all stripes would jump at the chance to forge new alliances with interested parties who share our core beliefs of self-determination and individualism, yet there are some among us who seem more interested in starting petty arguments and maintaining purities that never existed.

What some social conservatives fail to realize—willfully so, it sometimes seems—is that there’s plenty of  room for them in the movement.

Social conservatives… sit at the table with us. Pull up a seat. We’ve got a lot of work to do, and we can’t take back America without your SoCon goodness. All we—and well, anyone else in what Barron terms the “leave-us-alone movement”, the “I can run my life better than Obama and the Democrats can” movement—want is for you to stop poking the rest of us in the eye, so we can see where we’re going, and where we need to be.

Pro-Terrorist Grinches Thwarted in Seattle—For Now

[X-Posted at David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog... check it out!]

Dateline: Seattle, Washington. Or, as I like to mockingly call it, Ecotopia.

The city that unleashed upon the world such horrors as Courtney Love, Microsoft, and Starbucks Coffee, was being invaded for Christmas

The signs of the Christmas invasion were everywhere… mostly because the invasion’s signs actually were signs, on the sides of public transportation buses.

The innocuously-named “Seattle Mideast Awareness Group,” whose stated goal was to

“…ensure that our tax dollars go towards worthy causes, not to sustain immoral, illegal, internationally-condemned actions,”

which, when translated from Lawyerese is, “to turn public opinion against Israel’s right to defend itself and exist as a state.”

The Mideast Awareness Group was particularly incensed by Israel’s audacity to retaliate against the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, also known as ‘Harakat al-Muqawamat al-Islamiyya,’ or the ‘Islamic Resistance Movement,’ during 2008’s so-called “Gaza War.” The group’s ads, originally slated to start running on the second anniversary of the War, trotted out the trusty progressive talking-point that Israel was an international war criminal, because of… well, I’m sure there’s some reason why they’re war criminals.

When the David Horowitz Freedom Center learned of this ad campaign, they wasted no time. As the big guy himself, David Horowitz, put it, Seattle’s notorious for this sort of nonsense:

“Seattle is notoriously a hotbed of support for Islamic Nazis. Their martyr is Rachel Corrie and their modus operandi is conducting hate campaigns against Jews and Americans masquerading as campaigns for Palestinian rights.”

The Freedom Center purchased ad space on Seattle buses, but with a twist: the ad was a near-copy of the pro-Hamas advertisement, but with the tagline “Palestinian War Crimes: Your Tax Dollars At Work,” instead. Photos of Israeli civilians who were killed by Palestinian suicide bombers during the Second Intifada were included in the Freedom Center ads. Presumably realizing that, if the Awareness Center’s ads were enough to make people take out rebuttal ads in response, then the makings of a firestorm were in the works—King County came to its senses and rejected the anti-Israel ad campaign.

The grinches had been stopped, by virtue of wanting to avoid controversy. Of course, if they didn’t want controversy, then King County should never have accepted the pro-terrorist advertisements in the first place, but as they say, “a win’s a win”…

As FrontPageMag.com’s Rich Trzupek reports, King County attorneys advised Seattle Metro authorities to not run the pro-Pally ads, but they ignored their better judgements, and the advice of Title 28, section 96.210 of King County Code, and did so anyway.

Of course, if it wasn’t for the Freedom Center, groups such as pro-Israel StandWithUs, and the many protestors who voiced their displeasure with the Seattle Metro, we wouldn’t be talking about this, because no one in Seattle would have seen a problem with lying, anti-Israel ads on public transportation. Call it willful ignorance, call it a blind eye turned, or call it tacit approval; the fact remains that if you want change in the world, you have to fight and argue for it. If it wasn’t for the quick and decisive campaign launched by Horowitz and others, the “splodeydope agenda” would have been advanced by the naifs in King County government.

The buses of Ecotopia are safe from pro-terrorist propaganda campaigns, for now. But, eternal vigilance is Western Civilization’s price of freedom from terrorists, their sympathizers, and the useful idiots that enable their jihad.

Keith Olbermann Ragequits Twitter, Much Rejoicing in the Land

Breaking news: The intelligence of the average Twitter feed just skyrocketed.

Everyone’s favorite MSNBC (“Most Socialist Network On Basic Cable“) mental featherweight, Keith Olbermann, rage-quit the social-networking service on Thursday, citing his frustration over being targeted and mocked by fellow progessives, who are otherwise loyal supporters of the government secrets clearinghouse website, Wikileaks.

Olbermann had been the target of a “Twitter campaign”—an event better known as “slacktivism”—organized by followers of the progressive “feminist” website TigerBeatDown.com, who were upset that Olbermann dismissed Swedish courts’ pending charges of rape against Wikileaks leader and media-hound Julian Assange, calling them “hooey.”

The blue-on-blue friendly fire attacks were in response to an interview with fellow-traveler Michael Moore, on Olbermann’s “Countdown” television show, which pretty much no one watches these days.

Olbermann’s progressive critics were enraged at him for propagating the false claim that Assange was being charged with rape because of having unprotected sex with a woman, which is not the case, at all. According to Swedish court documents, Assange did engage in nonconsensual sex acts with the alleged victims—as opposed to Olbermann and Moore’s claims that Assange’s condom simply broke.

After several rounds of arguing with his fellow leftists, Olbermann finally gave into teh crazy and announced that he will “thus unblock all blocks, wish you all a Merry Christmas and […] suspend this account until this frenzy is stopped.”

Of course, Olbermann’s gotten our hopes up over this kind of thing before. In November, Olbermann suspended his gag reflex-inducingly stupid segment, “Worst Person in the World,” to much pomp and laud, for a staggering, indefinite two weeks.

It’s long been ceded by progressives that we conservatives dominate Twitter, and new media in general, but it’s always heart-warming to see a progressive loudmouth like Olbermann willingly remove himself from the zeitgeist like he did.

Now if we could just figure out how to get Bathtub Boy to quit television…

Eco-Terrorism: Because Recycling Is for Sissies

[X-postied at David Horowitz's NewsRealBlog]

Two weeks ago, Los Angeles was attacked by terrorists.

By “Los Angeles,” I mean “the University of California-Los Angeles,” and by “terrorists”… well, no, that one was correct.

UCLA neurology professor David Jentsch, who studies the chemistry of addiction, as well as Jentsch’s colleagues, received a box full of bloody razor blades, which tested positive as being infected with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.

Who sent Jentsch these lovely presents? Terrorists. Or more specifically, progressive eco-terrorists.

Included with the HIV-blades was a note communicating the Left’s love for science, with messages such as “how would Jentsch like the same thing he does to primates to be done to him? That would be justice. STOP YOUR SICK EXPERIMENTS OR HELL AWAITS YOU,” and “Confining primates to puny filthy cages then removing them to give them their fix of PCP when primates would not get addicted if it weren’t for Frankenstein’s [sic] like Jentsch.”

Jentsch’s research uses vervet monkeys to study the biochemical reactions that cause humans teenagers to become addicted to tobacco and methamphetamine, and is being funded by the National Institute of Health.

UCLA, as well as Jentsch himself, has been the target of eco-terrorist attacks since 2006, including firebombings, vandalism, criminal damage, and sabotage. In 2009, members of the eco-terror group called Animal Liberation Front visited Jenstch’s personal residence, setting fire to his car.

An eco-terrorist franchise of the Animal Liberation Front, the “UCLA Justice Department,” took credit for their attempted bioterror attack against UCLA, writing that, since Jentsch and his colleagues “wouldn’t listen to more polite pleadings to stop [their] heinous treatment of innocent primates, we […] some rusty razor blades tainted with AIDS-infected blood. The message is clear—PRIMATE VIVISECTION MUST BE STOPPED!”

In other words, “you didn’t stop advancing science, have some AIDS!”

These people seem perfectly rational to me. Yep.

Before you think that the Animal Liberation Front is a small band of malcontents, recall that their sister group, the Earth Liberation Front has been on a tower-toppling tirade in upper Ecotopia—I mean, Washington State, claiming to be on a mission of mercy to save us from the “health and environmental risks associated with radio waves.” The Federal Bureau of Investigation considers the double threat of ALF and ELF “America’s top domestic terror group.”

Ironically, the founder of the public-friendly front group for ALF and ELF—People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ Ingrid Newkirk—has stated that PETA (and by extension, ALF and ELF) would be opposed to using animal research to find a cure for the disease that the militant wings of PETA tried to infect researchers with.

Newkirk has also cryptically stated that “no movement for social change has ever succeeded without ‘the militarism component.’”

PETA’s financial and logistical ties to ALF and ELF are well-documented, revealing a trail of donating to the defense funds of domestic terrorists such as Rod Coronado. Coronado was convicted of arson, in connection with a string of attacks on agricultural research facilities and fur farms in 1995, code-named “Operation Bite Back.” “Bite Back” culminated in a firebombing of Michigan State University research facilities.

After Coronado’s arrest by investigators, packages full of evidence from his nighttime raids were intercepted by Federal Express, addressed to Newkirk, from Coronado. In Coronado’s sentencing memo, the federal prosecutor writes: “significantly, Newkirk had arranged to have the package delivered to her days before the MSU arson.”

The founder of PETA, who has said that “thinkers may prepare revolutions, but bandits must carry them out,” knew about Operation Bite Back, and assisted Coronado. In other words, PETA assisted ALF with multiple domestic terrorist attacks during the 1990s, and possibly to this day. Truly, PETA slums with the bandits, while presenting itself as the thinker.

In order to overcome the bad karma of standing athwart the advancement of human science and yelling “fur is murder,” I humbly suggest that the “UCLA Justice Department” adopt a humorous tagline to use with their press releases—if only to liven up their death threats and predictions of ecotopian Untergangsstimmung.

My suggestion, free of charge?

“Eco-terrorism: Because recycling is for sissies.”

Not Everything is Quiet on the “West” Front

(X-posted at David Horowitz’s NewsReal Blog, and your source for Palmetto State politics, Right Turns Only… check it out!)

He calls himself the “voice of this generation, of this decade.” He’s a relentless self-promoter. Some call him a musical visionary, others call him derivative and talentless.

He’s been accused of racism, and accused others of racism. And now, over five years after rapper Kanye West shocked the nation by accusing President George W. Bush of delaying emergency relief because “he didn’t care about black people,” West is apologizing to President Bush.

After Hurricane Katrina, progressives across the globe alleged that the Bush administration held responsibility for the disastrous conditions in New Orleans.

From Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan’s allegation that the government bombed the levees in order to divert the flood into minority neighborhoods; to New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin’s claim that President Bush wanted to assassinate him; to Venuezlean President Hugo Chavez’s proclamation that “capitalist consumerism” led to the formation of Hurricane Katrina; almost everyone on the left agreed that Bush was at fault.

Never to be left behind by a fad, Kanye joined the chorus. During a celebrity telethon to raise relief money for New Orleans, West urged viewers to give money, because “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”

Five years later, in his autobiography Decision Points, President Bush writes that Kanye’s tirade was the worst part of his tenure as President:

“I faced a lot of criticism as president. I didn’t like hearing people claim that I lied about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction or cut taxes to benefit the rich. But the suggestion that I was racist because of the response to Katrina represented an all-time low.”

In an interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer, Bush explains that West’s allegation stung because “he called me a racist. I didn’t appreciate it then. I don’t appreciate it now. It’s one thing to say, ‘I don’t appreciate the way he’s handled his business.’ It’s another thing to say, ‘This man’s a racist.’ I resent it, it’s not true.”

Yesterday, West finally apologized to Bush on NBC’s Today Show, saying he “definitely can understand the way [Bush] feels, to be accused of being a racist in any way, because the same thing happened to me, where I got accused of being a racist… I think we’re all quick to pull a race card in America. And now I’m more open, and the poetic justice that I feel, to have went through the same thing that he went [through]… and now I really more connect with him on just a humanitarian level.”

After watching Kanye’s mea culpa, Bush seemed to have accepted the apology, saying that he “[appreciated] it.”

While Bush may have graciously forgiven West, he has a history of pulling such stunts, and being less than penitent when called out on it.

In 2006, a drunken West interrupted the MTV Europe Music Awards, letting loose with an expletive-filled rant because he didn’t receive the Best Video Award.  In 2009, West rushed the stage again, irate that singer Taylor Swift was given the MTV Best Video Award, and not pop-music diva Beyonce.

The Bush-West “rap beef” may be over, but as President Obama quipped, he’s still “a jackass.” It’s too late for West to take his words back and undo the damage he caused.

The “race card” gets used against conservatives time and again, because it obfuscates the issue at hand, and paints the conservative’s argument as the socially unacceptable option, regardless of the actual merits of the issue at hand. West played the race card against a politician whom he disliked, without proof to back up his allegations.

It’s very gracious of Bush to forgive West, and is indicative of the caliber of the man’s character, as lesser men would have held the grudge to this day. However, that doesn’t excuse West’s transgressions, nor does it make him less of a ill-mannered lout.

Having an “Empire State of Mind” Means Never Having to Say “Sorry”

(Hide yo’ wife, hide yo’ kids, they be reading Right Turns Only out hurr! Cross-posted at David Horowitz’s NewsRealBlog)

Famous rapper. Owner of the New Jersey Nets. Rabid Bush-Basher. Complete ignoramus.

All of these terms, and many other noun-adjective pairs, have been used to describe Jay-Z—real name Shawn Carter, who aliases include “H.O.V.A.”, “S-dot,” and “Jiggy.”

But “conspiracy theorist”? That’s a new low, even for Jiggy.

Appearing on the David Letterman Show to promote his new autobiography, Decoded, Carter was asked if the prevalence of crack cocaine was to blame for the violence of Brooklyn, circa 1980, when rap music was in its infancy.

Jay-Z blamed the violet state of 1980s-era Brooklyn on—this is a really deep analysis, so I suggest that you sit down before continuing to read this sentence—Ronald Reagan.

As he so eloquently explains,

During that time, you know, all joking aside, you know, this whole Reaganomics, Iran-Contra, you know, all the drugs that influenced, I mean, infiltrated our neighborhoods and was everywhere like you could smell the stench in the hallways. You know, it was just, we were overcome with this thing and it was fast money and, you know, it’s inescapable.

In other words, President Reagan’s efforts to reduce government spending and regulation, reduce income tax rates, and reign in monetary inflation caused inner-city youths to kill each other and do drugs. Talk about the “moral hazards of economic policies!”

Fret not, if you don’t understand the eloquent progressiveness of Jay-Z, though. In Decoded, Jay-Z complains about the rise of “the Fox News dummies […] wouldn’t know art if it fell on them,” and stands by rapper Kanye West’s claim that President Bush is a racist, which not even West believes.

Jay-Z’s smears against Reagan and conservatism are a symptom of a larger problem, though. In 2009, Jay-Z gave a concert at the Obama For America Staff Ball, where he sang, “I got 99 problems but a Bush ain’t one,” to much applause by progressives across the nation.

In 2010, British reporters accused Jay-Z of racism, after Caucasian fans were allegedly banned from his afterparty celebration at the Merah nightclub, in London. Daily Star reporter Kim Dawson alleged that “[she’d] been to countless showbiz bashes, and has “…never met meatheads like those at the Jay-Z [party],” claiming “it was clear white people were not welcome in his VIP area.

If those are the symptoms, then the diagnosis must be acute celebrity progressivitis, and Mr. Z’s case is clearly in the advanced stages. Fortunately for Izzo, suffering from acute celebrity progressivitis causes the sufferer no physical pain. However, it does cause other people physical pain, when they slam their heads on their desks after hearing his ill-informed political rants.

Of course, if the rumors that Jay-Z might be officially joining President Obama’s 2012 campaign are true, then may God have mercy on all our “Fox News dummy” souls…
