What if implementation of Romneycare is doing to Mitt Romney what voting in favor of The War in Iraq did to Hillary Clinton?

Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney (A Tale of so called inevitability)

Before 2008 many people thought that it was inevitable Hillary Clinton would be the Democrat nominee for president.

Before 2012 many people thought that it was inevitable that Romney would be the Republican nominee for president.

What made impossible to close the gap for Hillary Clinton.?

Well, if you remember back in 2008, The War in Iraq was a major issue. Then Senator Obama was constantly chiding then Senator Clinton for her decision to vote in favor of going to war in Iraq. The war was deeply unpopular with the base of the Democrat party.

Looking back, I contend that that is what ultimately led to Hillary’s downfall.

Hillary supporters claimed that Hillary Clinton was the most electable candidate and that she had the best presidential organization to compete nationally. But, despite the advantages Hillary was not able to close the gap because of this major issue.

What is making it so hard for Romney to close the gap?

In 2010, the Republicans handed President Obama a shellacking. One of the major reasons if not the biggest reasons was that President Obama had jammed Obamacare down the American peoples throat. Today, Obamacare is deeply unpopular with American people and especially with conservative minded individuals.

Today, many conservatives are chiding Mitt Romney who when Governor of Massachusetts put into place Romneycare.

What if implementation of Romneycare is doing to Romney what voting in favor of The War in Iraq did to Hillary Clinton?

Those who support Mitt Romney claim that he is the most electable and has the best presidential organization to compete nationally.

What if the same thing is happening to Romney that happened to Hillary despite their so called advantages?

Can Romney close the gap or will he be the Hillary Clinton of this election cycle?

We shall see!

The Supreme Court is a huge issue for me and we can’t afford to have Obama appoint 1-4 more Supreme Court Justices.

I prefer Gingrich or Perry over Romney. But if Romney gets the nomination I will support him as my parties nominee.

The Supreme Court is a huge issue for me and we can’t afford to have Obama appoint 1-4 more Supreme Court Justices.

You may not like Romney and I don’t either but will you let the balance of the Supreme Court be jeopardized if Romney gets the nomination?

I would much rather have Romney make appointments to the Supreme Court than Barack Obama.

How the Gin”Grinch” stole Romney’s Christmas!

Who could have guessed a couple months ago that Newt Gingrich would surge in the polls past Mitt Romney. Well, I didn’t.

I will be the first to admit that I was dismissive of Gingrich a few months ago but the more and more I look at it, Gingrich seems to be the only one capable of debating Mitt Romney and Barack Obama and tearing them to shreds.

Gingrich seems comfortable with the media where Romney is afraid of Bret Baier of all people.

Who could have guessed that someone from West Georgia College would be competing and surpassing in the polls a literal Ken Doll?

Now, I am not saying that Gingrich is perfect. Personally, I agree with Santorum probably more than anyone on the stage, but I think Gingrich will be able to weather the storm that comes with a national campaign much more than Santorum or Romney.

Or, maybe I am wrong?

Am I the only one?

Am I the only one who thinks Gingrich would totally decimate President Obama in a debate better than anyone on that stage tonight?

Am I the only one who thinks Gingrich can articulate his positions betters than anyone else on that stage?

Am I the only one who Gingrich is the only candidate who has been able to stay on message and keep the focus on President Obama amidst all the useless political bickering?

Am I the only one who thinks that Gingrich would eliminate a key talking point by President Obama? Obama loves to blame congress for his failed agenda. The Democrats love to say that Bush inherited a surplus. But, think about this, Gingrich is pre- George Bush. Gingrich helped balance a budget and worked with a President from a different party. So, that argument would be out the window.

Am I the only one who dismissed Gingrich a few months ago and now I am writing something like this in his support?

Will you settle for less?

That’s what’s the 2012 election is coming down to more and more for me.
All of this electability hogwash means nothing to me. All that matters to me is putting up some who will best contrast with President Obama. My preference of who I desire will come from that.

So when I look at the field, I see Mitt Romney as the person who I think has the least contrast to President Obama. Romney is the ultimate “settle for less” candidate.

When I look at Herman Cain I see someone who I think has perhaps the greatest contrast to President Obama.

Now, this is not an endorsement of Cain on my part, but it highlights what I think most conservative voters are taking into account going into the primaries and the general election.

Right now I am leading towards Gingrich or Perry. I think Gingrich’s personal baggage is far less damaging than President Obama’s political baggage. Gingrich would tear Mitt Romney up in a debate as well as President Obama. Perry would go the length with Romney and have a strong jobs message against President Obama.
Your thoughts?

SHOCK POLL: PALIN PULLS WITHIN 5-POINTS OF OBAMA

Thats the headline at Drudge. All the info below is found in the link posted at the bottom.

“Look out President Barack Obama. Even Sarah Palin’s gaining on you.

A new McClatchy-Marist poll finds that Obama looks increasingly vulnerable in next year’s election, with a majority of voters believing he’ll lose to any Republican, a solid plurality saying they’ll definitely vote against him and most potential Republican challengers gaining on him.

Even in potential matchups where he leads, Obama in most cases has lost ground to the Republican.

The biggest gain came for Palin, the former Alaska governor who hasn’t yet announced whether she’ll jump into the fast-changing race for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.

After trailing Obama by more than 20 percentage points in polls all year, the new national survey, taken Sept. 13-14, found Palin trailing the president by just 5 points, 49-44 percent. The key reason: She now leads Obama among independents, a sharp turnaround.”

Yes She Can!
Yes she Can!
Yes she Can!

People like Karl Rove and [candidate's name]4prez are the problem

I am sorry if this comes across as a rant, but I am sick and tired… I am sick and tired of political establishments hacks like Karl Rove going  after people like Rick Perry or Michelle Bachmann as “to extreme.”
I am fed up with people going on the internet and making posts everyday at sites like this bashing other republicans because they have no argument in favor of their preferred candidate ( yes I am talking about people like [candidate's name]4prez .)

This has to stop! You didn’t hear any democrats say Obama’s views were toxic or Obama was to extreme when he ran for President. But you have people on the Republican side that will gladly attack other Republicans as “too extreme”. Every time you have someone like Karl Rove attack Rick Perry’s views on certain issues as “toxic,” that only helps the democrats going into the next election. Right now the Republican establishment is all goody tooshoo with their man Mitt.  The republican establishment is all goody tooshoo with Mitt and so are some people on this site and others.

People like Karl Rove and [candidate's name]4prez are making fools of themselves in trying to push forward their candidate. All Rove and [candidate's name]4prez) are engaging in is “attack, attack, attack,” any candidate but their preferred candidate. They offer no reason why we should vote for their preferred candidate, but rather why we should not support other candidates.

Karl Rove and [candidate's name]4prez are doing the same thing  leading up to the primaries as President Obama will in the general election. All Rove and [candidate's name]4prez are saying is that Perry or Bachmann would be worse than Romney. They are not saying why Romney would be better than Perry or Bachmann. In the 2012 election, all President Obama is going to say is that “here’s why you should not vote for Perry or Bachmann. ” The reason President Obama will say this is because he does not have a better argument. There won’t be a reason for voters to vote for him so he’ll say here’s why you should not vote for the other guy.  Rove and  [candidate's name]4prez are doing the same thing.

Americans Deserve Better

If  President Obama wants to invoke Ronald Reagan then I will evoke the words of a freshmen senator in 2006.

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here.” Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

The aforementioned quote was spoke by then Senator Barack Obama when he was critiquing the prospect of raising the debt ceiling under the Bush administration.

I want to compare President Obama’s 2006 position with his current position.

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure”

Apparently, things are different when you’re actually in office and have to make decisions.

“It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills.”

But wait, I thought that President Obama said not raising the debt the limit would amount to not paying your bills.

“Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally.”

But wait, I thought the President Obama has stated that not raising the debt limit will bring about economic uncertainty.

“Leadership means that “the buck stops here.”

Hah!

“Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren.”

I could not agree more.

“America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership.”

Wait, I thought it was a revenue problem.

 “Americans deserve better.”

President Obama, I couldn’t agree more. Getting you out of office will be the “better” we all have been waiting for.

791 days without a budget

791 days is how long it has been without a budget being introduced by the democrats.  I think we need to turn this into an opportunity to hammer home a pivotal point and that is that the democrats lack leadership.

The Republicans need to turn the 791 days without a budget into a daily reminder.

For example, tomorrow will be 792 days without a budget.

We should be pounding it into people’s heads and be counting the days  just like the Iran hostage crisis.

The democrats in the senate all voted Obama’s so called budget down so they could simply attack Paul Ryan’s plan.  That’s not leadership.

We need to spread this message. It’s a winning message that can bring the democrats down.

“791 days since a budget has been passed by the democrats. I’m atlasshrugs. Good night and good luck.”
