Tonights battle cry for the silent majority.

Second Chronicles Chapter Twenty

2Ch 20:1 After this, the Moabites and Ammonites with some of the Meunites came to make war on Jehoshaphat.
2Ch 20:2 Some men came and told Jehoshaphat, “A vast army is coming against you from Edom, from the other side of the Sea. It is already in Hazazon Tamar” (that is, En Gedi). 3 Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the Lord, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah. 4 The people of Judah came together to seek help from the Lord; indeed, they came from every town in Judah to seek him.
2Ch 20:5 Then Jehoshaphat stood up in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem at the temple of the Lord in the front of the new courtyard 6 and said:
“O Lord, God of our fathers, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you. 7 O our God, did you not drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend? 8 They have lived in it and have built in it a sanctuary for your Name, saying, 9 ‘If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us.’
2Ch 20:10 “But now here are men from Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, whose territory you would not allow Israel to invade when they came from Egypt; so they turned away from them and did not destroy them. 11 See how they are repaying us by coming to drive us out of the possession you gave us as an inheritance. 12 O our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you.”
2Ch 20:13 All the men of Judah, with their wives and children and little ones, stood there before the Lord.
2Ch 20:14 Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite and descendant of Asaph, as he stood in the assembly.
2Ch 20:15 He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.

16 Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel. 17 You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’ ”

Just in case I am wrong…

What is the safest bet in an Obama win?

I am of the firm belief that Sarah Palin will win this election and the next two after this one. Now with that said I must plan for the worst–an Obama win.

With what I have been reading about the Dem’s plans for our 401Ks my wife and I have decided that we will be making a radical decision if Obama wins. Before he is allowed to be sworn in and the barbarian hordes can over run congress we will be cashing out our 401Ks.

Now the question is do I put the money back into the stock market on my own or do I invest in something like land? Do I invest in a small business?

What is the safest investment under a supposed Obama election? When 401Ks are are no longer safe this is a tough question.

Suggestions?

C17Wife has encouraged me to speak up.

And I thank her for starting this conversation.

WARNING
This is a Biblical perspective and intended for Christians and their ilk.
May have adverse effects on trolls.

After reading the numerous comments on C17Wifes’s diary and having much personal rumination over this election cycle I thought I would share my personal and biblical perspective on God’s will. I do not claim to be a biblical scholar and I do not profess to be a model Christian. However, I do have the complete New Testament on audio CD and my wife coerced me to teach Sunday school with her. So take from this what you will.

My wife thought it important her and I spend a week in Hawaii as an investment in our marriage. God wants us to have a happy marriage so of course we should spend the money on a trip to Hawaii. God also blessed us with three years same as cash for that new flat screen. Three years same as cash must be part of God’s great plan. He has blessed us with the money to build that new house and buy that new car. God is good.

Kirk Cameron vs. Oliver Stone…

Can this be related to McCain vs. Obama?

As an evangelical Christian I have to admit when it comes to Christian entertainment the cheese abounds. The newest film “Fireproof” from the producers of “Facing the Giants” is no exception to this commonly held stereo type.

What I do find funny is that a so called masterpiece of Oliver Stone in “W.” could not even beat out a movie involving talking dogs.

In its opening weekend “Fireproof” raked in close to 7 million while only playing in 839 theaters. “W.” playing in over 2,000 theaters was only able to bring in 10.5 million in its opening weekend.

From boxofficemojo.com

Fireproof
Opening Weekend: $6,836,036
(839 theaters, $8,148 average)

W.
Opening Weekend: $10,550,000
(2,030 theaters, $5,197 average)

Why I find this encouraging is due to the fact that “Fireproof” was to be a failure according to the MSM. Cinematically I would have to agree but it still averaged a little less than $3,000 more per theater than “W.” This is encouraging to me in the fact that I have seen more “W.” advertisements in the last few weeks than I have seen McCain ads and the only place I ever saw “Fireproof” mentioned was my church’s bulletin.

I have to believe the evangelicals just like they voted at the box office for a cheesy film will come out in droves and vote for a slightly imperfect candidate, McCain. You will not see this reflected in any poll but dare I say that come November 5th us religious right whackos will have once again doomed our country to another four years of liberty and freedom.

Wait For It…

It is about to hit MSM any moment...

So DailyKOS and other degenerate bloggers are already all over the “Joe the Plumber” story. See, we uneducated Republicans fail to understand that small businesses that make more than 250 thousand are extremely rare and therefore Joe must be a fake.

Have yet to see any evidence but that will not keep the MSM from reporting it.

What Would Reagan Say in this Debate…

I will get you started...

If McCain was actually Reagan I think you might hear a quote like this Wednesday night.

“My friends, it is coming to my attention that a great number of you are fearful of an Obama win. I must stress that you have nothing to fear from Obama winning the election as I have the greatest confidence he would be a most benevolent dictator.”

I am sure there are many of you out there who are much more creative than I and, who knows, McCain just might steal one of these ideas.

Some old videos from my college days...

I made these back when Kerry was a sure thing and the Bush era was all but over… Being a young republican in college I was called many things so I made this character, Randy E. Lee, based off of all the stereotypes that were pushed onto me.

Turned out I loved the guy…

Obama to the rescue?

Is this just posturing for the great one to amaze us?

95 Democrats voted down the bailout. These were not moderate democrats rather liberal party hacks. 12 of Franks own committee members voted no. Nancy tried as hard as possible to keep the republicans from voting as well with her “I hate Bush” speech.

Why would they try and kill the vote?

My opinion is this was all a ploy for our pal Obama to come sweeping in to unify the congress and save the day. The republican votes will still be there giving the illusion of Obama unifying the parties. The MSM would love to run with that story and Pelosi would trade a 777 point drop in our markets to see just that happen.

Discuss.

Americans for Prosperity

Who will be at the summit in DC?

The Kansas AFP chapter is flying me out to DC and I was curious if anyone else is going. I believe Redstate’s own Eric Erickson will be a speaker.

If you are going I would love to meet some new people maybe buy a few rounds…

Strike while the iron is Hot.

And I don't mean bailout

John McCain has the greatest opportunity right now to sure up this election and quite possibly save capitalism as we know it.

Go to Washington Senator McCain and do what you do best be a maverick.

Don’t go along with this bailout. Instead offer a new plan that has wide sweeping reform. One that puts a moratorium on the capital gains tax. A plan that ensures oil companies will be drilling by Monday morning fifty feet off Miami Beach. A plan that does not spend tax payer’s money and instead takes less of it.

The way I see it you could ask for a provision to buy every American a hotdog and a flag lapel pin and the Democrats will have to vote for it. So, Mr. Senator, do go to Washington, rally the troops, and show us conservative change we can believe in.
