Will Smith on French TV: “God Bless America”

This is rather amusing. I don’t know what Will Smith’s politics are but I feel safe in assuming they are left of center.  Its enjoyable therefore to watch his face when informed that the new president of France wants to go to a 75% top income tax rate.

As Hollywood types go Smith is not a bad guy but he shows again how out of touch he and his brethren are with the full spectrum of political ideology and the consequences thereof.

    It’s a real pity that Sarkozy lost his reelection bid. Of my French friends, two of them voted for Hollande and the third for Sarkozy. I feel as if I can’t really comment too much about the race because I’m not a French citizen. Only thing I care about is the stability of the international economy.

    Although, I will be up in arms if the CDU/FDP loses control of the German parliament. Europe’s going down the drain if that happens. The SPD drives me up the. And after the NRW and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state elections? /shudder.
