Why is the Jewish Funds for Justice attacking Glenn Beck with haikus?

With all the anti-Semitism in the world, with Iran building a bomb and promising genocide, with Obama declaring that Jews can’t build homes in Jerusalem, with Obama dressing down Netanyahu, the most pressing threat to the Jewish people is Glenn Beck?

Beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning, and for the following 24 hours, the Jewish Funds for Justice plans to tweet the heck out of Glenn Beck.

The social justice group plans to unleash a “Twitterstorm” on the Fox News host to protest his recent remarks mocking the faith-based idea of “social justice.” JFSJ has collected more than 1,500 haikus (Haik U Beck, they call it) mocking Beck.

The group plans to start tweeting the verses to Beck’s personal Twitter account, one every minute, “to confront Glenn Beck about his bizarre and incongruous opinion that there is no place for social and economic justice in religion.”

Beck also mentioned this on his Fox News show today. Isn’t it curious, he said, that the president is attacking a private citizen and trying to shut him up and put him out of business?

We never thought we would find ourselves agreeing with Jewschool blogger Mobius, but his On the road to Jewish self-government has an outstanding idea: make Jewish Funds for Justice’s Jspot the chief organizing entity for Jewish Democratic progressives.

Naturally, a good MSM source like the Washington Post won’t tell you that the Jewish Funds for Justice is a George Soros-funded organization of far-left Democratic progressives. This is political astroturf, directed by people close to President Barack Obama.

For the record, I don’t always agree with everything Glenn Beck says, but I agree with his libertarian-conservative philosophy. The factual quibbles don’t matter here.
