I’m more of a pragmatic conservative that places a lot of importance on electability, but even someone like me has HUGE problems with Huntsman.

The comparison to Eisenhower is absurd, stepping down as Governor to serve as Ambassador in Obama’s State Dept is nothing like serving a lifetime in the military and being a top General during World War II. Are we next going to compare Hillary’s noble service to that of Patton’s? It was all about the power and prestige for Huntsman.

Huntsman clearly couldn’t wait to serve with Obama, and must have been really impressed with him to walk off as Governor. A true conservative would be nowhere near the Obama administration, if he had the DNA of a conservative, it would be instinct. And as Governor, Huntsman took avery opportunity he could to cross conservatives in Utah (the most conservative state in the Union) What do you think he’ll do as President?

BTW, I love Coffee and markets , I hope this series continues. on RedState.

…who defends him, is a moderate, not a conservative.

      He’s a long-time supporter of gay marriage.

      • Superheater

Which describes people who lack the intellectual capacity to form an real opinion, so they “average” everybody else’s OR who are so incapable of standing on their own for fear of displeasing others they subordinate their opinion to that same process.

Actually, Pej is more of a termite, working in the conservative rafters to undermine the supporting structures of the institutions and values many seek to conserve as conservatives. If its the same “Pej” he used to be a big deal at TCSDaily- which imploded.

Hence the gushing praise of “truceboy” Daniels. I’m not fooled, Daniels did nothing to stop Mr. Bush from switching the train to the fiscal mess track while at OMB and now he’s part of the insider crowd working tirelessly to seek victory through pre-emptive surrender. This is why I throw GOP stuff right in the can, I won’t support traitors or good-natured losers anymore.

Notice the list of people “Pej” tells us are “tolerant” of homosexual (gay is a misapproriated word) thereby framing the debate as one of tolerance vs. tolerance. When will homosexuals tolerate the institution of marriage.

As for Cheney, he was part of an administration that paved the way for Obama.

Bolton is kidding himself if he thinks he’s got a snow.

Yeah, we really need another President with “credentials”. Even better that he speaks Mandarin, he can lavish praise on this or the next Chinese dictator in their own language, completing the act of servility.

        First, ditto on Victrol’s comments.

Man, I hate the term “moderate”

Which describes people who lack the intellectual capacity to form a real opinion, so they ?average? everybody else?s OR who are so incapable of standing on their own for fear of displeasing others they subordinate their opinion to that same process.

Actually, Pej is more of a termite, working in the conservative rafters to undermine the supporting structures of the institutions and values many seek to conserve as conservatives. If its the same ?Pej? he used to be a big deal at libertarian TCSDaily- which imploded.

Hence the gushing praise of ?truceboy? Daniels. I?m not fooled, Daniels did nothing to stop Mr. Bush from switching the train to the fiscal mess track while at OMB and now he?s part of the insider crowd working tirelessly to seek victory through pre-emptive surrender. This is why I throw GOP stuff right in the can, I won?t support traitors or good-natured losers anymore.

Notice the list of people ?Pej? tells us are ?tolerant? of homosexual (gay is a misapproriated word) thereby framing the debate as one of tolerance vs. tolerance. When will homosexuals tolerate the institution of marriage?. Homosexual unions are the social equivalent of TARP, the establishment telling us we’re too stupid to see their Orwellian BS for what it is.

As for Cheney, he was part of an administration that paved the way for Obama. He is also not exactly an unbiased judge of the situation.

Bolton is kidding himself if he thinks he?s got a snowball’s chance in heck to be elected.

Yeah, we really need another President with ?credentials?. Even better that he speaks Mandarin, he can lavish praise on this or the next Chinese dictator in their own language, completing the act of submission Obama just provided with an extra dose of servility.

          Ditto on Victrola?s comments.

1 In those days, Barack Obama had just completed his census, and driven men slightly thicker than a turnip to comment on matters they little understood. 2 And as was the custom in those days, a thickie named Superheater journeyed to the comment boards at RedState, his father’s home, there to make not one, but two inane comments, Kowalskied upon each other. 3 And with him he brought sentences that were pregnant with stupidity, but not with meaning, because he had not known things with meaning in his time.

4 And with those sentences he journeyed from thread to thread, looking for a place to rest, for being dim is hard. 5 And finding no respite, he elected to call another human being an insect, and then a traitor, for he had not known a dictionary in his time either, nor had he read the posting rules of the place in which he attempted to rest.

6 And when he finally came to rest, he found there waiting for him a shepherd, with a long crook; and with that crook, the shepherd, who had been retired from culling five-legged mutant sheep from the flock, gently drew to him Superheater, and spoke. 7 And he said, “Do you not know that your behavior is beneath low, and is unsightly in the gaze of the most high? 8 For unto you has been given the words of a Pejman, and regardless of how you would disagree with those words, below the very comment box in which you entered your thoughts, the words, ‘Be respectful, or be banned. No Profanity.” appear.’ 9 And not once, but twice, you violated this rule; and yea, from Dan even unto Beersheba, anyone with half a brain knows what those words mean.” 10 And so the shepherd spoke, and then lopped off the idiot sheep’s head, because the sheep was not beautiful in his sight, but spavined and, in case this was not clear, was pretty darned thick.

11 And the people rejoiced, and then forgot about the entire thing; for the way of Man is forgetfulness, especially when the deeds of cretins are behind him.

Languages change. Whether you like it or not. The word may have at one time been misappropriated, but it’s widely accepted now, so you’re just pretty much out of luck. I doubt you’ll stop whining about it anytime soon though.

Seem a little like the kind of the group think I rather more expect from the left sphere.

The guy’s grammar is horrible and he needs to pay attention to the little wavy red lines, but the metaphors are colorful.

Does anybody else see the irony of using” Kowalski” as a putdown and playing on one of the few ethnic stereotypes that are somehow still acceptable in polite company while lecturing somebody on respectfulness?

Why is the term profanity highlighted? You consider BS profane?

    Good Grief.

    • Thomas Crown

The guy?s grammar is horrible and he needs to pay attention to the little wavy red lines, but the metaphors are colorful.

That you see this as the problem, rather than calling another human being an insect, suggests that your time at this rodeo will be short.

Does anybody else see the irony of using? Kowalski? as a putdown and playing on one of the few ethnic stereotypes that are somehow still acceptable in polite company while lecturing somebody on respectfulness?

We would if it wasn’t a reference to a specific commenter, whose legendary ability to comment on his own comments was and is a source of inspiration to us all. It is not an “ethnic stereotype” (are Poles known for repeating themselves?), it is a tribute of which the subject was properly proud.

Why is the term profanity highlighted? You consider BS profane?

In order: Because it is in the original (check below the comment box in which you are commenting); and yes, but that wasn’t the point.
