No doubt France – at least the Sarkozy France – feels some responsibility to help Libya, which is its former colony.

So the French – the cheese-eating surrender monkeys – upstage BIG BRObama in supporting the rebels against an unstable dictator.

We will see how far this support goes: “Air Strikes” ? Will the French lead the way for a no-fly zone while the Democrat pacifists twiddle their thumbs, as they have been doing in the past 6 weeks?

She continues the policy of do-nothing, which given the Saudi Arabian unrest right now, threatens to place the U.S. on the wrong side of the turmoil.

“WASHINGTON, March 10 (Reuters) – Secretary of State Hillary Clinton underscored on Thursday the need for international consensus on the next steps on Libya, saying any unilateral U.S. move could have unforeseeable consequences.

Clinton also expressed deep doubts about proposals to set up a “no-fly” zone over Libya, saying previous no-fly zones set up over Iraq and Serbia had had little effect. ”

And so as France supports the effort to boot out Gaddafi, the U.S. will not even join them now? How would that be “unilateral” exactly?
