[**BIG UPDATE**] Video: Teabagger At Tucson City Council Meeting

(Via Ace Of Spades HQ) Awesome. No words can describe what I felt when I heard Gabriella’s words. She is not just an immigrant, she is an American! One who choose to come here and did so legally!

People are so concern about the illegal immigrants, what about the citizen’s concerns? Does the government work for us or what? In this case, isn’t there a pot-hole or a street light be better money spent than suing the state of Arizona over the hurt feelings of a couple ILLEGAL immigrants?

(UPDATE): Crom’s Toothbrush! Ok people, clearly some of you didn’t get the joke. Liberals like to call people “Teabaggers” who go to town-hall meetings and protests to speak out against Liberal policies. They normally like to use the term against white people, who they think are racist rednecks. The title, and the joke, was to turn that term on it’s head and show how ignorant Liberals really are.

If you are truly offended by this post’s title, then you take this stuff too seriously. Breathe deep and let it roll off of you. Learn to laugh, you’ll live longer.

But, Ace Of Spades used almost the same title! I thought it funny!

      You make me sad.

With the current meme that Tea Partiers started using the term teaba**er, which I haven’t seen proof of, we should definitely never use the term even in jest.

in his innocence. We know that it was the left that taught us what it meant.

My very liberal activist dem part-time girlfriend stopped using it when I told her what it meant 2-3 mths ago.

One or two people amongst millions, doesn’t a trend make. Many, many pundits are resorting to this meme that the tea-partiers began calling themselves that name until “the smarter people on the left pointed out what it meant”. I seriously doubt that people were gathering in large masses considering themselves that negative term.

among conservatives and tea partiers, some of whom favor simply co-opting the word, so…

and, am not necessarily against it. As long as the left understands that if they wish to call us teaba**ers, that they are the ones being teaba**ed.

Roundhead was a pejorative used against supporters of Parliament in the English Civil Wars but the Roundheads adopted it for themselves and there are several other examples including, I believe, the Copperheads in the North during our Civil War. 0bama and his followers are like children on the playground – they like their little joke and will keep yukking it up unless we take it away from them.

A pejorative is nasty, otherwise it wouldn’t be a pejorative. So yes, it would be unpleasant at first to take it over. We should find a way to co-opt it and take away their little fun. The left is basically humorless anyway and will be highly annoyed at losing it.

an actual physical reaction to that word because the left takes such pleasure out if it. That Obama thinks they is calling US all “faggots” which is what he and his Alinskyites are doing is enough for me to try to see the word go away. ALL of the Corrupt Media used it against US to try to denigrate US and while I know many on the RIGHT side who want to somehow co=opt it and take the sting of the word away from the left I just don’t find that to be something I personally am going to be participating in because it is a NASTY DISGUSTING word and its intent is DISGUSTING and for me I just move along and pay to attention to the diary.

She is a great spokeswoman for this issue since she followed the immigration laws that so many want to circumvent.

I do have an issue with your headline. The homosexual slur in your headline is being used by the left to call tea party supporters ‘fa**ots’ without using that term. When members of the leftist-media use the term they giggle like third graders telling a dirty joke. When Obama uses the term he is intentionally using it as a homosexual slur. It is time we stand up and say enough is enough. We should not be giving them cover by using the term ourselves.

    Thank you.

I viewed the title as sarcasm, but what do I know.

      Thank you! Someone understood!

I think most of us understand. It’s just that Red State holds itself to a much higher standard than other sites. Most of us aren’t necessarily offended by incendiary language when visiting sites such as Ace of Spades and others, but we consider Red State our home. We prefer to keep it clean. A clean home is a happy home (at least that is what my mother always told me, and I can’t imagine her lying to me).

I can’t stop chuckling. I’d bet your and my mothers would get along quite well.

frequent face to face challenges to Christian liberals to show tolerance to people on the right. I shame them with their own claimed virtue.
