From The Rick Scott Fraud Files: Don’t Get Rick Roll’d

This is what I have been saying Bill McCollum should do, go after Rick Scott’s involvement with Columbia/HCA:

Rick Scott says he will run Florida like a business, but then defrauds the government with grossly overbilling Medicare with Columbia/HCA and got a $10 Million golden parachute. Will he again give himself a golden parachute if he defrauds the Florida people?

I would check out all of the Rick Scott Fraud Files if I were you. Couple with Rick Scott skirting campaign finance laws with his Let’s Get To Work group, Rick Scott seems to think the rules don’t matter to him. I fear him becoming governor, because I don’t think Rick Scott has any ethics.

Breaking Update: On top of everything, Rick Scott may be in trouble in his CURRENT health care business. So I ask you, do you trust Rick Scott?

Bill has been going after Rick Scott on the issues. Going around campaign finance laws…the same laws Bill was against? Its not Bill’s time.

    • BigGator5

Hey, I don’t like those laws either. Still, you don’t break or skirt those laws that you don’t like.

If Rick Scott seems to think the rules don?t matter to him, just because he doesn’t like them, what kind of governor do you think he’ll be?

      • cwilson

huh, Big Gator? Well, that makes you just like your boss, McCollum. How much IS he paying you?

It’s interesting, I STILL have not heard ONE SINGLE AD from McCollum describing just why the HELL I should vote for him. What EXACTLY is his platform? What EXACTLY is he FOR?

Except “It’s my turn, and Rick Scott is a big meanie for muscling in on MY coronation.”

The more I hear from you and from McCollum, the more I can’t wait to vote for Scott.

Seriously. We excise paid shills for campaigns on sight here, which means that it is NOT a casual accusation that can be slung about willy-nilly.

          • http://moelane.com/ Moe Lane

…refers to people hiding their paid affiliation with a campaign. A open campaign manager, staffer, or other representative of a particular candidate is perfectly welcome to boost said candidate here.

          • cwilson

I retract the accusation, as I have no proof.

I just can’t conceive of any other explanation for BigGator continuing to slavishly hawk McCollum’s debunked line of crap for weeks on end. That doesn’t, however, mean that there ISN’T some other explanation, so I apologize for leaping to what seemed an obvious conclusion.

          • BigGator5

Well then, debunk them. You have as much power to write an article here on RedState as I do.

I support Bill McCollum, because I don’t like or trust Rick Scott. The more I learn about him, the more I distrust him. McCollum, on the other hand, is unquestionably conservative and a proven leader. I’m not the only one to take notice as well.

In the comment thread to one of your other efforts.

Also included a couple of links to other writers, including Erick, and bloggybayou/muckraker.

McCollum is from around my area, and has been in one office or another going way back. I haven’t been too disappointed with his record (I recall a few instances of political-class-itis over the years, though). However, it is his CURRENT behavior in THIS campaign that has really gotten my dander up.

Post a frackin’ position paper. State some positions — conservative ones — on contentious issues (rather than mealy-mouthed politico-speak when buttonholed vis AZ SB1070). POLICIES, darnit.

But — after two solid months of all personal attacks on Scott all the time — I think it’s too late for that. McCollum has shown himself to be a man with no chest, and now it’s too late to pretend otherwise. I’m disappointed…but no longer surprised when career politicians (“conservative” or not) turn out to be…career politicians.

It’s funny. I’m not one to shy away from negative campaigns. I LIKE a good fight. But there has GOT to be some SUBSTANCE in it. This “Dewey’s wife is a well-known thespian” crap is for the birds, and the politicians who indulge in it make me wonder why they DON’T engage on substance.

Like…”If I stake out a position in the campaign, those peons might actually expect me to follow thru after the election. Better and safer to focus solely on ‘that other guy’ — if I win, he’ll be gone afterwards and then I’ll be free to do any d*** thing I want in office”

I can assure you that BigGator5 is not being paid by McCollum. If you continue to throw around baseless accusations, I cannot save you from Moe.

  • BigGator5

“How much IS he paying you?”

Bill McCollum isn’t paying me anything. That’s low for even suggesting it.

One concern of mine is that the FL Gov primary has been very heated. Rick Scott & Bill McCollum have been going at each other’s throats. Scott’s rise in the polls has drained McCollum’s campaign funds.

As a result, Rick Scott looks better positioned to take on Alexa Sink.
