Union Thugs Destroy Recall Petitions

(Via Unified Patriots) Welcome my friends, to the new civility. Gabrielle Giffords would be proud:

Comment of the day from the video: “The noisy thug with the megaphone is right when he says they are democracy, since pure democracy is simply a nice euphemism for mob rule.”

The Rubicon has finally been crossed. First they call in threats to a local business (see below) and now they are openly assulting recall efforts. I bet Jim Holperin (Wisconsin Democrat being recalled here) fully approves of his union thugs helping him in this way.

Oh, but it gets worse. Much, much worse. WTMJ Wisconsin reports on how the police have more or less advocated to “democracy”:

The petition rally was originally scheduled at a local Merrill restaurant but was relocated after the proprietors received many phone calls and felt they needed to back out. The committee then set up in front of the Lincoln County Courthouse to offer citizens an opportunity to sign their names to the petition. Over 1,000 calls had been sent out the previous day notifying area residents of the petition rally.

Upon arrival, members of the recall committee were encircled by union protesters carrying signs and a leader with a mega phone who began chanting and ranting loudly. They packed in tightly around the petition collection table so as to prevent those attempting to sign from doing so. At one point, a pro union protester, pretending to be interested in signing the petition, wrote profanity across a partially collected petition form, than began ripping up the completed petitions that were in close proximity.

The policemen who were there, and who were standing in close proximity to these events as they unfolded, did nothing to assist those collecting the petitions as they were being destroyed, despite such an action being a Felony under Wisconsin law. Police also did nothing to clear the walk way for citizens that wanted to sign the petitions. Recall Committee members received many phone calls the following day from Merill area citizens who stated that they showed up to sign the petition, but were too afraid to get out of their vehicles and approach the recall table.

Kim Simac, leader of the recall effort, who has also received numerous personal threats, has now declared that enough is enough. “Tomorrow we begin taking the necessary steps to put a stop to this kind of behavior.” Simac stated. She went on to say: “The people of the 12th District of Wisconsin can not and will not allow this thuggery and bullying to continue. As honorable citizens, I believe we all have an obligation to stand up for the rule of law, which is why I am taking this action.”

Now I’m normally the first person to jump to the defence of cops. When people speak ill of our law-enforcement, I let it slide off of me. I know cops can be rough, but, honestly, they deal with rough people all day long. So I give them a pass. They have always treated me fairly (if not roughly) whenever I deal with them.

However this is honestly unacceptable. Even if the cops there didn’t think there was nothing wrong with destorying petitions, this was a clear-cut case of assult and destuction of private property.

Now I’m not accusing them of out-right corruption, but what I am saying is two-fold:

  1. Superman Will Not Come To Our Rescue – We cannot honestly think we are going to get any back-up from the police whenever we go out there or when they protest. They might have an honest beef that they can’t do everything or, if they do arrest someone, can start a riot. So we are currently in “Sauve Qui Peut” mode. However you can never, ever fight back. That last part said…
  2. Document Everything – Keep up-to-the-minute notes, journals, and keep your photo/video cameras on. Bring multiple cameras and plenty of flash cards and batteries. Film the same event twice, just in case one cameraman is attacked. It may take time for the attacking union thug to get arrested, but justice will come to them. Even if nothing happens to them now, we can show the future that we were the peaceful ones and that we were the ones taking damage for what we believe in.

History will be on our side. They will look back and say we did this with honor. That, my friend, is the true victory. Thugs and the bad guys will never truely win.

Do as he demanded, or else the cops (similar with firemen I’m sure) just might not be in a position to help you out when you need it if you can’t “help” them when they “need” it.

that 2,600 years after Plato wrote the Republic, Quis costodiat ipsos cutodies would have been finally answered. Apparantly not.

The TV newsers are ignoring the truth, and eyewitnesses with cameras are the only way the truth is being told.
Like you, I’m with law enforcement 99%. It was 100% at one time, but if union cops want to turn a blind eye, it’s going both ways.

Since this was a felony under WI law, I guess they will pursue legal remedies?

I wish there was some way to embarrass these thugs.

Top 10 ways to tell if you might be a member of a public-sector union

    10. You take a week off to protest in Wisconsin, and your office runs better.

    9. On a snow day when they say ?non-essential? people should stay home you know exactly who they mean.

    8. You get paid twice as much as a private sector person doing the same job. . . but make up the difference by doing half as much work.

    7. It takes longer to fire you than the average killer spends on death row.

    6. The worse you do your job, the more your boss avoids you.

    5. You think the French are working themselves to death.

    4. You know by having a copy of the Holy Koran on your desk your job is 100% safe.

    3. You spend more time at protest marches than at church.

    2. You have a Congressman?s lips? permanently attached to your butt.

    1.
You pay more in union dues than you do for your healthcare insurance.

What WOULD have worked would have been to do what they did at the end on the second day of the Fleebagger Run.

These threats and goon tactics are going to get worse between now and 2012.

With the recall elections coming later this year and the possible recall election of Walker in Jan. 2012 the left will do it’s level dirtiest to push their agenda through. Their tactics are to make people tire of this and to push voters to vote out the GOP just to “keep the peace” in the state. My fellow Wisconsinites will need to toughen up and fight back.

It may not be much, but getting David Prosser re-elected to the WI Supreme Court will help. His opponent has aligned herself with the union hacks. She essentially will follow the Dem policy of legislating from the bench. Any legislation that Walker gets through will be challenged by the libs through the courts.

Concealed carry, Voter ID and this collective bargaining legislation will probably end up there. Right now it’s a sliver of a conservative court, but if Prosser loses, the court will be swing toward the lib side.
