What The “TEA Party” Means To Me

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  July 4th at 08:00 AM  |

What does the TEA Party means for me? I will admit that I haven’t been active in the TEA Party movement all that much. I do have my “Don’t Tread On Me” Flag and support the grassroots movement from the very beginning. However when it comes to actual participation, I have been lacking. This will change come the 12th of this month when I head | Read More »

    Yet Another Richard Nugent Lie

Just a quick update from my last diary.

    Richard Nugent, That’s A LIE!!

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  July 1st at 04:00 PM  |

I’ve heard some wappers in my time, but Dick* Nugent just told a big one! Here is the video, see if you can spot the lie. If not, the answer will be below the jump: Orlando Sentinel Interviews Richard Nugent

The Shark Tank’s Bill McCollum (CAN-R-FL-GOV) Interview

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  June 30th at 11:30 AM  |

The Florida Governor’s race, which I have been on the fence until now, was lit on fire by the entrance of Rick Scott. Until then, Bill McCollum was a shoe-in for the Republican nomination and the general win. The Shark Tank (a blog that focuses on Florida Politics) got an exclusive interview with Bill McCollum (video after the jump):

One Central Florida County, Three Great Congressional Candidates

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  June 29th at 10:00 AM  |

Last night, I went to an amazing event. The Leesburg 912 Group held a Candidate Forum for the three US Congressional Districts that cross Lake County, Florida. There I meet up with three great candidates running for congress: Patricia Sullivan (CAN-R-FL-08) who is trying for the honor of outing Alan Grayson (INC-D-FL-08). Don Browning (CAN-R-FL-06), running against 22-Year Congressman Cliff Stearns (INC-R-FL-06). Last, but not | Read More »

Jason Sager (CAN-R-FL-05) Gets iCaucus Endorsement

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  June 28th at 09:00 AM  |

First, Jason Sager (Can-R-FL-05) joined the Freshmen 50. Then he got an endorsement of Ronald Reagan Republican Assembly of Florida and now he has the endorsement of iCaucus. Jason Sager has been endorsed by the Independence Caucus (iCaucus). Jason shared with his team what a tremendous honor and privilege it is to receive this special endorsement.

Sean Parks And Jo Ann Jones Ice Cream Social

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  June 27th at 08:30 PM  |

Earlier today, I went to an Ice Cream Social hosted by Sean Parks (CAN-R) and Dr Jo Ann Jones (CAN-R)*. Both are running for county office here, Parks for Commission and Dr Jones for School Board. I mostly talked to Sean Parks, which we talked about many issues from taxes and the county budget. From Afghanistan to religion, and everywhere inbetween. Then we got into | Read More »

Why Supporting Jason Sager (CAN-R-FL-05) Is Important

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  June 24th at 08:00 AM  |

The biggest races to capture the national imagination from Florida, is the the governor race between Rick Scott and Bill McCollum (in which I am still undecided), the Senate Race featuring Marco Rubio, and the FL-08 race to out Alan Grayson. While they are all indeed important, the most under-reported race happening in Florida is the FL-05 primary race between Jason Sager and Richard Nugent.

Dr Tod Howard Has The Right Ideas

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  June 23rd at 08:00 AM  |

Update: Although I like what Tod Howard had to say, I am supporting Jo Ann Jones for school board. I wrote this before I personally met Jo Ann Jones. It’s Time To Get Out Of Afghanistan

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  June 22nd at 06:00 PM  |

I’m not going to surgar coat it: General Stanley McChrystal should be fired. Not allowed to resigned, fired in the strongest possible terms. If we were talking about Bush and Iraq, we be calling for his head. For better or worse, Barack Obama is the Commander-in-Chief and our military shouldn’t be disrespecting our elected leaders in such a way. The military answers to the civilian | Read More »

    New Respect For Elton John

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  June 18th at 08:00 AM  |

I want to preface this by saying that I’m not much of an Elton John fan. It’s not that I had anything against him, it’s that I haven’t heard any of his songs (that I know of) with maybe the exception of “I Don’t Wanna Go On With You Like That”. I am more of rock and heavy metal kind of guy.

Snooki Laments McCain Not Winning Election, Blasts Obama

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  June 8th at 06:48 AM  |

When you’ve lose Snooki, you’ve lost the nation (Via MsUnderestimated): This was hilarious… was from the pre-MTV Movie Awards show “Jersey Shore.” Snookie’s boyfriend was giving her a 3rd layer of a spray tan, and Snookie said she’s sworn off “tanning-tanning” because of Obama’s 10% tax on it. She goes on to opine that McCain wouldn’t have done it because he needs a tan.
