    My Take On Greer Ouster

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  January 6th at 08:28 AM  |

I may be a Moderate, but I am thankful Jim Greer is on the way out and know that this has nothing to do with moderate-versus-conservative bulls**t (I’m sorry, I am just pissed off here at Greer’s utter gul). This part of Greer’s statement really pisses me off:

Stupak May Yet Be Our Savior

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  December 19th at 03:46 PM  |

Hard to believe, but Stupak may yet be our savior in torpedoing ObamaCare: An aide to Rep. Bart Stupak (D. Mich.) coordinated opposition to a Senate compromise on the place of abortion in health care legislation this morning with the Republican Senate leadership, the Conference Catholic Bishops, and other anti-abortion groups, according to a chain of frantic emails obtained this morning by POLITICO. Deja Vu

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  December 19th at 08:48 AM  |

I have a real sense of Déjà Vu right now. Isn’t this how the first Gulf War started? “It’s a sovereignty issue” which has to be resolved by Iraqi leaders, the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Michael Mullen, told reporters during a visit to Baghdad.

PUMA: The Progressive Movement Should Die Of Shame

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  December 10th at 01:27 PM  |

Or with a bullet in the head: WTF?? If the Progressive Movement hasn’t yet died of shame, someone should put a bullet in its head.

    SunRail Is A Go

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  December 9th at 08:06 AM  |

Which is frankly a bad thing*: TALLAHASSEE — Ending decades of bottlenecked ambitions for Central Florida mass transit, the Florida Legislature on Tuesday gave final approval to the SunRail train that’s expected to start carrying passengers in 2012.

    Plouffe Vs Palin

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  December 7th at 05:55 PM  |

Pathetic is the word of today (H/T Hot Air): Apparently, David Plouffe has had some trouble selling his new book, The Audacity to Win, and needs Sarah Palin’s help to generate some sales. Politico’s Ben Smith reports that Plouffe has launched an effort to outsell Sarah Palin for one day — tomorrow — as a means to generate some positive spin for his campaign memoir.

    COBRA: A Real American Hero

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  November 30th at 03:39 PM  |

A part of the Health Care debate has been completely overlooked. Hell, I even noticed that Glenn Beck didn’t even mention this in his book. One of the biggest points that progressives make in making the case for ObamaCare is that when you are fired or leave your job, you will lose your health care insurance. BREAKING: Pirates Hijack Oil Headed For U.S.

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  November 30th at 09:37 AM  |

File this under “Saw This Coming” file: NAIROBI, Kenya — Somali pirates seized a tanker carrying crude oil from Saudi Arabia to the United States in the increasingly dangerous waters off East Africa, an official said Monday, an attack that could pose a huge environmental or security threat to the region.

    Glenn Beck’s 100-Year Plan

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  November 21st at 10:46 PM  |

I was at The Villages in Florida today to check out Glenn Beck’s rally. I have some pictures, which I’ll upload to my site later. Right now I want to put down my thoughts on his 100-Year Plan.

    Lessons Learned: The Boston Massacre

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  November 11th at 11:38 AM  |

I was watching Fox & Friends this morning. They had on Nidal Malik Hasan’s lawyer and they were giving him a hard time. While I don’t like lawyers in general, I was somewhat appalled by their questioning. I would think John Adams might be as well.

I Volunteered Before It Was Cool

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  November 7th at 08:23 AM  |

Back in August, I volneetered to help Representative Ginny Brown-Waite with a Veterans Benefit Resource Fair she is hosting here in my town. I did this long before Obama and Hollywood pushed people to volunteer. Today is the day of the fair. I am not doing it because it is cool or because someone said I should do my civic duty or for any glory. | Read More »

I say we make Civil Unions gender blind and give your local church/temple/mosque the legal protection to marry whoever thy want. Things like “age of | Read More »

    By: BigGator5 (Diary)  |  October 31st at 04:04 PM  |

Ok, not really. I want to go through a thought experiment in which I, BigGator5, was to run for Florida’s 5th Congressional District. Since I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes, we’ll say Ginny Brown-Waite has chosen to retire and return to private life at the end of her current term.
