Of late, Rick Scott (CAN-R-FL-GOV) has put out some factless ads against Bill McCollum (CAN-R-FL-GOV).
What does the TEA Party means for me? I will admit that I haven’t been active in the TEA Party movement all that much. I do have my “Don’t Tread On Me” Flag and support the grassroots movement from the very beginning. However when it comes to actual participation, I have been lacking. This will change come the 12th of this month when I head | Read More »
Just a quick update from my last diary.
I’ve heard some wappers in my time, but Dick* Nugent just told a big one! Here is the video, see if you can spot the lie. If not, the answer will be below the jump: Orlando Sentinel Interviews Richard Nugent
The Florida Governor’s race, which I have been on the fence until now, was lit on fire by the entrance of Rick Scott. Until then, Bill McCollum was a shoe-in for the Republican nomination and the general win. The Shark Tank (a blog that focuses on Florida Politics) got an exclusive interview with Bill McCollum (video after the jump):
Last night, I went to an amazing event. The Leesburg 912 Group held a Candidate Forum for the three US Congressional Districts that cross Lake County, Florida. There I meet up with three great candidates running for congress: Patricia Sullivan (CAN-R-FL-08) who is trying for the honor of outing Alan Grayson (INC-D-FL-08). Don Browning (CAN-R-FL-06), running against 22-Year Congressman Cliff Stearns (INC-R-FL-06). Last, but not | Read More »
First, Jason Sager (Can-R-FL-05) joined the Freshmen 50. Then he got an endorsement of Ronald Reagan Republican Assembly of Florida and now he has the endorsement of iCaucus. Jason Sager has been endorsed by the Independence Caucus (iCaucus). Jason shared with his team what a tremendous honor and privilege it is to receive this special endorsement.
Earlier today, I went to an Ice Cream Social hosted by Sean Parks (CAN-R) and Dr Jo Ann Jones (CAN-R)*. Both are running for county office here, Parks for Commission and Dr Jones for School Board. I mostly talked to Sean Parks, which we talked about many issues from taxes and the county budget. From Afghanistan to religion, and everywhere inbetween. Then we got into | Read More »
The biggest races to capture the national imagination from Florida, is the the governor race between Rick Scott and Bill McCollum (in which I am still undecided), the Senate Race featuring Marco Rubio, and the FL-08 race to out Alan Grayson. While they are all indeed important, the most under-reported race happening in Florida is the FL-05 primary race between Jason Sager and Richard Nugent.
Update: Although I like what Tod Howard had to say, I am supporting Jo Ann Jones for school board. I wrote this before I personally met Jo Ann Jones. He has ideas, but she has great ideas and experience in education. ——— Last weekend, I went to a Meet The Candidates forum where I got to know people who are running for office locally in | Read More »
I just got back from a “Meet The Candidates” forum today, sponsored by the South Lake Republicans Club and hosted by the South Lake 912 Tea Party (boy, that’s a mouth full). I will focus on good ld Dick* Nugent and Jason Sager here in this dairy.
There’s only one person I want to be the next Speaker Of The House: Mike Pence (R-IN)
Just on the off chance, mostly because of the primaries yesterday, I wanted to update the race between Dick* Nugent and Jason Sager. There have been slight details in the Republican race that needs updating.
“Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are.” I call on everyone within the sound of my voice to denounce this ugly and evil Anti-Sikhmetism (via Hot Air): Knotts says he believed Haley has been set up by a network of Sikhs and was programmed to run for governor of South Carolina by outside influences in foreign countries. He claims she | Read More »
(Via Ace Of Spades HQ): Poor Charlie Crist, he doesn’t have a friend in the world… (Warning: Some Language)
Jason Sager (CAN-R-FL-05), The leason learned from the special election for the 12th Congressional District of Pennsylvania was crystal clear: Do not take this election for granted. I’m sure you don’t, but let’s look at all the speaical elections up to this point and see how they got elected:
Of all the sites and people, I would have never have thought Hot Air would be calling for Chuck DeVore to drop out: Chuck DeVore is a solid conservative, very well-qualified to be senator or to hold other important offices or positions, but he doesn’t seem to have a prayer of both overtaking Carly Fiorina and defeating Tom Campbell in the June 8 Republican senate | Read More »
If you haven’t heard yet, the people of Florida’s 5th Congressional District got screwed April 30th. Here’s the brief story: Eleven minutes after the noon April 30 candidate filing deadline for the 2010 election, Brown-Waite announced her intentions to forgo her candidacy and threw her support to Hernando Sheriff Richard Nugent, who had qualified earlier that morning by paying a $10,440 filing fee. The ploy | Read More »
The Charlie Crist Campaign: Mine! Mine! Mine! Big Donors Face Question: Demand Refund From Crist? The Crist campaign is under no legal obligation to return anyone’s money, and a spokeswoman indicated it has no intention to do so. “Our policy is these individuals gave their money to a good cause, and we intend to spend their money on a good cause,” said Michelle Todd, an | Read More »
