There is one item which I wish the McCain campaign would bring greater attention to: Obama’s plan to lift the income cap on social security contributions. This very fact turns Obama’s promise of a tax cut for everyone earning less than $250,000 into a complete lie.

With the current income cap for social security cap at $100,000, removing the cap translates into a $9750 tax increase for someone earning $250,000. Now, if this is a small business, we are talking about a $19,500 tax increase because of the matching rule, with the business having to match each dollar contributed by the employer. For the small business owner now earning $500,000 that would be a $40,000 tax increase! How many jobs does that eliminate?

What will be done with this money? It will be used to eliminate social security withholding for lower income individuals. Unfortunately, because of the impact this idea will have on small business, many of the same recipients of this government largesse will soon find themselves unemployed.

Oh, and I thought I heard Obama change cap his tax increase at $200,000 last night? Does this mean it will be $150,000 by election day – $100,000 by inauguration?

Time for us to speak out on Obama’s secret tax increase.

According to Jesse Jackson, American foreign policy towards Israel and the Middle East will fundamentally change if Barack Obama is elected president. In remarks that have since been strongly rejected by Obama and his foreign policy team, Jackson stated that “decades of putting Israel’s interests first” would end. Jackson went on to say that Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades will lose a great deal of clout when Barack Obama enters the White House. This was reported in the New York Post by Amir Taheri from the World Policy Forum held in Evian, France.

Although the Obama foreign policy team was very quick to distance itself from Jackson’s remarks, they present a clear dilemma for the Israeli cabinet: Will the United States, under a President Obama, extend its nuclear shield over Israel should Iran acquire nuclear weapons? If its consensus is no, then logic would dictate an Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear facilities immediately following a November 4th Obama win. The Iranians have promised to close the Strait of Hormuz if attacked by Israel or the U.S.

Rumors of an impending Israeli attack were particularly strong in late August, when stories appeared that the United States government had refused to sell Israel the “bunker-buster” bombs necessary for attacking Iran’s underground nuclear facilities. So here we are today, following a week when the Dow Jones Industrials suffered its greatest weekly loss and AP is reporting Governor Sarah Palin “abused her power.” To this add the latest polling reports, new information regarding Obama ties to Kenyan strongman Odinga and a continuing flow of reports of ACORN voting fraud. Right now over at the “Daily Kos” the Kosmonauts are already doing victory dances, proclaiming that their next goal should be to “crush our spirits” and “eliminate conservatism altogether.” It would seem like a good time to turn off the TV, cancel Internet service, get a new hobby and pray for four years without a tax audit. God help us if we do. What is needed here is a little perspective.

First, let’s look at the market crash. Yes, on a percentage basis, it was the worst week in Dow history. Nevertheless, because of our experience with 1929, we are less likely to make the mistakes which drove our country into depression. For example, there is little chance Congress will pass anything resembling the Smoot-Hawley tariff. Efforts this weekend to stabilize the financial system would have been impossible in 1929. Following the 1987 stock market crash, predictions of economic disaster were everywhere. None of these transpired.

In a move many believe is designed to attract undecided New Age and Spiritualist voters, the Obama campaign is rumored to be ready to release information proving that he is the living reincarnation of Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

The Obama campaign is set to soon release medical records that will show Obama had “possessed the mind of an eight year old” until April 1, 2000. According to undisclosed and completely unreliable sources, this record release will reveal that until then Obama suffered from a rare mental malady called
Octo-psycho-consciousness. This disease, of which Obama is the only known sufferer, inhibits an individual’s ability to develop any conscience and mental judgment beyond that of an eight year old. One doctor, whose name will go undisclosed, revealed that people with this malady are capable of intellectual and physical development but continue to act like, as well as believe, they are only eight.

In preparation for the release of this extraordinary news, the Obama campaign has put out the word to friends and associates to candidly reveal key moments from his past where evidence of this disease appeared. From these sources it is possible to assemble the following chronology:

1983: Obama graduates from Columbia University. One university professor who was on stage when Barack received his diploma reveals how surprised he was when Barack turned to him, while holding up his diploma, and said, “Wow, this is great, I’m only eight!”

1990: Obama is selected to be Editor of the Harvard Law Review. A former reporter for the Harvard Crimson has disclosed that in an interview with Barack he said, “Being only eight, this make me the youngest person ever to be editor of the review!”

1995: Barack is asked by former Weather Underground Leader, Bill Ayers, to be the Board Chairman of the Annenberg Challenge Project. At a private press conference, Obama is purported to have said, “Because I’m only eight, I really know what me and the other kids really want to learn. We have come to recognize that the Left has a penchant for trying to suppress speech with which it either does not agree or might hurt their candidates. But here may be a new tactic and a sign of how life will be under an Obama administration.

Just about five minutes ago, a caller to Sean Hannity reported she was called by an Obama pollster/canvasser who was seeking her support. She claims that she told this caller that he should not waste his time calling her, because she would never vote for a candidate who wants babies to die in closets.

About two days later, her door bell rang and when she answered she was confronted by a Secret Service agent who claimed to be investigating a threat to candidate Obama.

Hannity responded to this call by saying that, perhaps, the Secret Service was provided with information which made them think a threat existed. The woman responded that the Secret Service was told that she said she wanted to “see Barack Obama dead on the floor.”

Was this a misunderstanding? Or are members of the Obama campaign misreporting comments by conservative callers in order to trigger what amounts to Secret Service harassment? Whatever it was, this poor woman now carries a permanent Secret Service record.

WorldNetDaily is today reporting how Jerome Corsi, author of “Obama Nation”, managed to escape from Kenya after being held by Kenyan immigration officials. The most potentially disturbing part of this story reads:

“Corsi was set to show Obama and Odinga have been in direct contact since the senator’s visit to Kenya in 2006. He was to claim Obama advised Odinga on campaign strategy. . . “

“Corsi was to report Odinga’s 2007 presidential campaign strategy called for . . . claiming victory and charging voter fraud even if the campaign knew the election had been legitimately lost. Odinga, Corsi said, also was willing to fan the flames of ethnic tribal tensions and use violence as a last resort by calling for mass action that led to the destruction of properties, injuries, loss of life and the displacement of over 500,000 Kenyans. The purpose was to compel the Electoral Commission of Kenya to declare him the winner or enable him to declare himself the winner by force.”

In the light of this new information by Corsi, let’s look at the polls as they stand today. The Real Clear Politics National Average shows Obama ahead by 5.6%, and in the key battleground states his largest lead is 4.8% in Virginia. Even if Obama’s lead in the polls were to expand to 7%, when both the potential margin of error and a potential Bradley/Wilder effect are factored into the numbers, it could still be essentially a tied contest on Election Day. We could be looking at another 2000 cliff-hanger, but. . .

• The Obama campaign claims victory after NBC declares him “the winner”

• ABC and Fox News are not declaring a winner, but are claiming that it appears John McCain is on the verge of winning enough states to claim victory. McCain neither claims victory nor concedes the election. He asks his supporters for patience and faith in the American system.

• With no clear winner, on Wednesday, November 5, massive protests break out in LA, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Miami and ten other large cities. Several of these grow violent.

• Obama calls for peace, and his protesters respond by conducting mass sit-ins across the nation. He demands that every vote be counted. Obama’s people are now referring to him as “Mr. President”. Keith Olbermann does the same in a CNBC interview.

• After two weeks of rising tension, the controversy centers on two states, Virginia and Ohio. In Norfolk, Virginia election officials are still trying to tabulate provisional and absentee ballots, many of which are the votes of deployed Navy and Marines. Their office is swamped by over 5000 protestors who break in and steal and destroy as many ballots as they can. The office is left in flames, with one election official killed and several others injured.

With the rise of Barrack Obama we have often heard the name of Saul Alinsky. Alinsky achieved fame as a “community organizer” and as the author of “Rules for Radicals.” He dedicates this “pragmatic primer for realistic radicals”, in an “over-the-shoulder” manner, to the first radical, Lucifer.

Today, Alinsky would be proud of his progeny. He would also be laughing. After all, look at where our politics are today: Barack Obama, one of his most devout disciples, is possibly only twenty-seven days from being elected president; ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, is positioned to move from radical quasi-criminality into mainstream legitimacy; and, most importantly, because of the apparent breakdown of the world financial system, the United States may have now reached the point of “reformation”, which Alinsky wrote was a necessary precursor of revolution.

What is this “reformation” of which Alinsky writes? It is “a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people.” Basically, it is a time when people “feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and chance the future.” *

As you contemplate Alinsky’s definition of “reformation”, do such things as your shrinking pension account, your job stability, and your frustration with the ability of the government to effectively deal with our financial crisis, suddenly come to mind? Feeling a wee bit helpless trying to understand why massive interventions and interest rate cuts by central banks are failing to cure these problems? Wondering whether we have reached a point in time when, as Barack Obama is telling us, we need to apply a whole new philosophy to solving our economic problems?
