MEMBER DIARY

How bad is it for Obama when he can’t even handle a TelePrompTer?

[this diary rescued from oblivion by force majeure]

The Corner has a link to this goodie, which includes video. Obama gets out of sync with his best friend the TelePrompTer. The audience chuckles politely at his subsequent strained attempt at humor. What I think is funny besides the obvious is that he catches himself and stops before using the word “TelePrompTer”.

If you can’t trust your TelePrompTer, who can you trust? Can you imagine the field day Olbermann and friends would have had with Bush doing this, proving what a mental midget he was?

even a pretense is not acceptable. Obama tried to run ahead. TelePrompTer did that right thing. Gave him a taste of what it is like when Big Guy goes against TelePrompTer.

If you can?t trust your TelePrompTer, who can you trust?

If the TelePrompTer can’t trust his mouthpiece, then who is going to speak for the leader of our nation? We all know that the TOTUS does like the Barack’s raw talent with the confident cadence thing, but if Obama can’t stay on key for 60 minutes, who is the TOTUS going to turn to? It’s not like discipline is #3 Joe Biden’s strong suit.

How dare you? Don’t you know I am TOTUS? Next time you do such a dumb thing you are going to lose your job.

Ron Burgundy: You stay classy, San Diego. I’m Ron Burgundy?

Ed Harken: Dammit! Who typed a question mark on the Teleprompter?

I’m picturing the TOTUS talking to Obama in the voice of HAL from 2001 A Space Odyssey

The little red light on the teleprompter lights up.

    “Hello Barack.”

He thinks he’s incapable of being wrong, even to the point of making things fail in order to prove that he was right about their imminent failure even though nothing was really wrong with them.
