I believe Pawlenty would've brought in more independents than any other current candidate. I also believe Pawlenty knew the difference between a hill to die on and one not worth it. As for Perry, I really don't know much about him. I'm encouraged by his jobs record. I'm fine with sitting on the sidelines for now.

For better or worse, any candidate who beats Obama must have the ability to capture the country per outstanding abilities to articulate and sell conservative principles and the money to make sure that the country gets that vision through television ads and other modes of message transmission. Perry strikes me as a very good spokesperson for our values, and his ability to raise money will rival or top Obama's...a variable that cannot be overlooked given how we were swamped in 2008 in that regard.

Pawlenty was the one candidate I thought had the capacity to lead going forward in today's political climate. None of the remaining candidates stands out to me in this regard. Now I can just sit back and wait for the primary to be over so I can then support the eventual Republican candidate.
