The left wing has descended into asshattery to try to discredit Bobby Jindal’s story about Sheriff Harry Lee and Katrina.
The left accuses Bobby of not being near New Orleans when Katrina hit and only flying over.
Apparently, the left is now defining “during Katrina” as “when the hurricane was blowing over. That’s a big shift from 2005 when they were attacking Bush for delaying getting to New Orleans.
The asshats of the left, however, are going to have some trouble now. Here’s Sheriff Lee talking about Bobby being on the ground the “day after” the hurricane hit as the levees were collapsing and hell was actually then being unleashed.

It was not at all obvious until late Monday night (the storm hit on Sunday) that there were major levee breaches, the pumps had failed, and the city was in deep yogurt.
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, Ms. Blanco was like a deer in the headlights, mumbling something about Posse Comitatus. Mayor Nagin was ensconced in his 27th floor walk-up command post in the Hyatt Regency having a major-league crackup. Rep. Jefferson was commandeering a helicopter and a Humvee to, uh, secure some critical evidence in his home.
And Mr. Jindal was acting like a grownup, working with the sheriffs and making things happen. Whatever he was doing, it certainly wasn’t grandstanding for press coverage at the Superdome or the Convention Center, the only venues that qualify as New Orleans in the minds of some.
Friday is when the National Guard showed up under Gen. Honore & started to return a semblance of order downtown.

Swamp_Yankee Friday, February 27th at 4:37PM EST (link)I’ll come out and state that I’m a big Palin fan. I like Jindal, but the fact is he has been off the radar screen. He had one primetime event during a non-election cycle and they are throwing the kitchen sink at him.
Note to everybody - they will do this to anybody who challenges them. Jindal, Sanford, Pence, …whoever it is will be as tarnished, lampooned, muckraked, and slandered.
Don’t quit on Palin or anybody else because you think they are “tarnished”. Of all reasons not to support Palin, this is the most stupid. I cant stand when people say we have to get off her bandwagon for a fresh untainted face like Jindal or Sanford. Do you think they are going to get a free pass. They are going to tear them to pieces. At least Palin has proven she can whether the storm with good cheer, a strong spine and a fighting spirint.
We can’t turn spineless everytime the MSM and Hollywood piles on a perceived threat. Stop buying into this crap. We have to choose our own leaders and not be influenced my media spin. If we stand united by them, they can weather the storm.

I haven’t seen a lot, hardly any really, of people whom I consider Conservative to have been trying to warn anyone else off of Palin, Jindal, etc.
Some have expressed some reservations with Steele, but he’s not running for anything, yet.
So to whom are you providing “advice” to stay with those you named?
Just wondering, not looking to insult.
And maybe you’ve seen/heard things that I have not.

And everyone looking for the new Reagan. The new Left is more vicious. The MSM is more in the tank. And technology has changed the way public image can be distorted. No one can come out the pack like some rising pheonix that is going to awe to the MSM.
I think the fact Palin withstood their relentless barrage makes her more appealing and stronger. I think she should lay low for a while, but Icant stand to listen to people say that she is tainted goods. Please.
