Remember the second episode of that series, when E Company 504th PIR jumped into Normandy and attacked a German artillery battery? At one point, the Germans were so confused that they started firing on each other, instead of the Americans.

It appears that the MSM is starting to shoot at one of its own.

I have to admit...this is fun to watch.

...would even consider bids from the Conservative side of the aisle.
The Democrats so desperately wanted a Left of Center Government they ignored the obviously Communist, anti Capitalist, anti American warts on the face of this present POS residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
If you were John Distefano and Reverend Kimber, you would receive a round of resounding applause.
If you represent a group of feminists that categorically hates all men, you would be welcomed.
If you came wearing a cap emblazoned with the hammer and sickle and carrying a volume of "Das Kapital", you would be welcomed.
If you were a gander in the company of another gander only interested in putting on a pornographic display, you would be welcomed, but come from an outfit like the Heritage Foundation or the Young America Foundation, there'd be "no room for you at the inn." "Your money is no good, here."

So what if the flyer wasn't properly vetted.

The simple fact that a newspaper planned to use any kind of gathering with government officials as a revenue source puts their journalistic objectivity into question.

If the newspaper angers the government, by...oh, I don't know, aggressively reporting on it...then might not the government retaliate by refusing to send A-list people to these gatherings? Wouldn't that make those gatherings less appealing? Less marketable? Less lucrative?

Spare me the blather about how the news division was hermetically sealed off from the business division. They're all part of the same company, and all companies try to maximize profit. Given how cash-strapped the WaPo is, are we supposed to believe there would have been absolutely no tension in the company if the news division cut into the value of these Salons.

Gimme a break...

Asking me to re-new the subscription I had cancelled when the free trial ran out in March. I told them until they quit selling access to officials in the Obama Administration, don't bother phoning to ask for my measly $1.50 per week.

paid the $25,000 ($250,000 if you could find the right financier) and taken a hidden vid cam with to the big shindig. Then posted the flyer, the names of all the Obama officials, the names of all the Post editors and reporters, and the film of the sorts of deals that were being cut in a smoke filled room with the help of supporters.

Oh, and has anybody passed a copy of the flier to Hellen Thomas? Apparently the Goebbelsing is getting to be too much even for her.

If I were a lobbyist I would just offer the money directly and cut out the middleman. As for the reporters, stinkbait should work just as well.

1) Doug Feith's War and Decision. If that book had captured popular attention, it might have started a popular discussion that helped McCain and hurt Obama. Especially since, in the 2008 election cycle, we were well on our way to WINNING the Iraq War. Hey, if you can't say bad things about Iraq, the next best thing is to make sure that nobody says much about it at all.

2) Obama's threat to "bankrupt" coal-burning plants and make energy costs "skyrocket." Ummm---aren't some of the states in the WaPo's part of the country big producers and users of coal? (WV, PA, VA)? Hmmmm...best not to make too much of that speech from The One. Good thing he gave it in San Francisco...

3) The Obama campaign's alteration of its online donation software to allow millions of dollars in contributions that were most likely illegal.

Good thing that Obama didn't call someone "macaca." Now, that would have been newsworthy...

These Washington Post Salons will be much more appealing---and command a higher price---if the WaPo can deliver the "right" kinds of decisionmakers to them.

Something tells me the McCain administration wouldn't have been as willing to provide the kinds of A-list guests that the WaPo needs to make these Salons a real moneymaker.

Wow! Good thing that Obama got elected, eh?

If this flyer is as good as it sounds, then the WaPo has shot its credibility in the foot.

Make the case, loudly and often. Let the WaPo convince the American people otherwise.

Make the MSM the issue.

Make plenty of copies. Post them on the Internet. Make this thing go viral.

If this flyer is as juicy as it sounds, it is now Exhibit A in our supporting evidence behind the following assertion:

The Washington Post is committed to the success of Democratic Party politics. As such, it is no longer trustworthy as an impartial reporter of the news and de facto public servant.

When MSMers and their Ivy League allies try to protest, show them the flyer and ask them to explain it.

We need that flyer!
