That Rush Limbaugh Endorsement

Ask yourself this question:
If Rush Limbaugh did endorse a candidate, would you then support that candidate? Would you make Romney or Thompson your top man if Limbaugh endorsed him?
I believe most of us here at RS respect the opinion of Rush Limbaugh. I personally have been listening to Rush on a daily basis for almost 20 years. Have I always agreed with him? Well, in general, yes. Not because I can’t think for myself. Rather, it’s because Rush has his finger squarely on the ideology of Conservative America. Being Conservative on all points, I naturally agree with Rush. Like National Review, Rush is a great communicator of the virtues Conservatism has to offer for this country. It’s no exaggeration that Rush Limbaugh is the greatest communicator today of the Conservative movement.
Rush isn’t likely to give us an endorsement. It’s my understanding that Rush would rather us come to that decision on our own. Nevertheless, Rush does share his opinion about candidates from time-to-time. Four important examples come to mind.
McCain - In 2000, Limbaugh was in no short supply in attacking John McCain.
Huckabee - Limbaugh made Huckabee the focus of his program before going on Christmas break and his website continues to feature Huckabee. My guess is that Limbaugh will pick up where he left off.
Thompson - No doubt, Rush likes Fred Thompson.
Romney – The Rush Limbaugh website features a positive section on Mitt Romney and no one else (that's telling). Click on any of the links there and you’ll see why Rush likes Romney.
I look forward to hearing Rush’s comments and thoughts tomorrow on the contests in Iowa and New Hampshire. He won’t likely make an endorsement. But is an endorsement necessary? He’s certain to weigh in on who he likes and who he dislikes.
