Foning for Fred

Now THAT was an experience. I just got done making my first round of campaign calls for Fred Thompson. I used to do telemarketing for a living (about 7 years experience including training new telemarketers) and even today I get nervous. But I have to say, it was fun and I look forward to making more calls.
It also appears that there are LOTS of undecided voters. This just adds to my distrust in polls.
Anyone can go to his website and download a call list and script. Even if Fred's not your dog in this fight, I encourage everyone to volunteer for your candidate's campaign. Rudy, Romney, McCain, even the Huckster. Regardless of who wins the nomination, we MUST win the general election. The time to start is NOW. I believe the more people we get to the primaries, the better our turnout will be in Nov. '08.

I phoned for Fred last night. I ended up with many left messages. Only one person hung up on me and I had a very long phone call chatting with someone else.
Conservatives must consolidate behind the consistent conservative.
I would like to see a Thompson/Romney ticket, or a Thompson/Steele ticket.

I have been talking to folks out here on the Left Coast and passing out Fred Thompson bumper stickers. You are in Fred's vangard and I salute you. Go for it. Our Country will be a better place if he wins.
