Dogs shouldn't vote: More on Democrats and elections
By Soren Dayton Posted in Congress — Comments (25) / Email this page » / Leave a comment »
On Tuesday, the Democrats held a hearing on expanding vote-by-mail. They are having another one next week about not cleaning up the lists of voters. The Democrats think that we shouldn't clean up the voter rolls. Even when there are felons on them. Or illegal aliens. Or dogs. (seriously)
And it isn't that hard to get on the rolls either. Don't believe me? Watch this video:
Read on to find out why.
It is likely that the Democrats aren't going to legislate this year. Everything that happens in Congress right now is just setting up 2009 when they think they will control the White House, in addition to Congress. Earlier today, blackhedd wrote:
So what kind of behavior is WPP anticipating from the next President Clinton, that will have a significant impact on the US economy, and (by extension) on media/ad spending? My guess would be massive tax increases, onerous new regulations, and some kind of national health-insurance initiative. What's your guess?
Let's be clear what is going on here. The Democrats certainly have a policy agenda that is bad for America. But they also have a political agenda. And the guys over at Open Left have explained that agenda for locking down the government by changing the rules:
... it is important for progressive movement types to keep their eyes on the most important legislation and potential legislation facing our movement. No, I am not referring to Iraq or FISA, and to a somewhat lesser extent I am not referring to health care or clean energy either. Instead, I am referring to those key areas of legislation and Democratic Party behavior that have the potential to build progressivism itself. ... what progressives need are the creation and institutionalization of "positive feedback loops" that will make America a more progressive place, and thus make all other progressive policy more likely to be enacted.
Their examples make it all clear. They want to change the rules to elect more Democrats. That is the biggest danger of a Hillary victory in 2008. It is not that the American people will elect Hillary Clinton. It is that she will change the rules to elect many more people that make her look like a moderate.
And that is why an obscure fight in an obscure subcommittee matters.
When presented with the example of the dog who was registered to vote, Rep. Charlie Gonzalez (D-TX) asked Jonathan Bechtle of the Evergreen Freedom Foundation whether the dog's registration was illegal. Jonathan said yes. In fact, the signature on the initial registration form was illegal.
But the illegal registration was only caught because a woman signed a voter registration with a dog's paw print. She told the election officials it was an illegal ballot.
Somehow, I don't think that people who steal elections tell election officials that they are using illegal ballots. The Democrats' position is the equivalent of saying that they outlawed election fraud, but they shouldn't try to stop it.
But we've heard that line from them before haven't we? And we beat them then too.

The dog was registered in King County, WA. This is in the same voter district that had so many shenanigans going on in the 2004 WA state gubernatorial election.
To recap, Republican Dino Rossi won the general election, and the first recount. Then the dem-dominated (think Seattle progressives) "found" enough votes to elect Christine Gregoire, the dem Hillary clone.
Since then, the Evergreen Freedom Foundation and a local website www.soundpolitics.com have done tremendous work in exposing the lack of control and oversight at King County Elections. It's so bad out here, you guys can't imagine.
You all can look at the whole sordid timeline here

The abuse, neglect and criminal behavior are astounding. Look out, folks - KCE was the test case. If Hillary wins, this kind of "Democracy" will roll out nationwide.
didn't fight this tooth and nail from the start! It seems to me that the 2000 Senatorial election was JUST as fraudulent. That Gregoire third-world-banana-republic election was disgusting!
As an aside, however, what is wrong with a dog voting?

Since I lived through that election scandal... I can tell you how/why; because the state judges are all Democrats and the Nines aren't going to be very helpful at the Federal Level.
Dino Rossi didn't win anything. He was ahead after the initial vote count. The margin was so small that a recount was mandatory. The third count, fully in compliance with the law, determined the winner. The winner of an election wins after all legal counts are complete. Part of the problem is that the media characterize interim outcomes as victories, which, in any legal or meaningful sense, they are not. I participated (as an observer) in the final recount and was satisfied that the final tally in my area was as accurate as it was ever going to be.
I spent quite a bit of time looking into the election and discovered some interesting things. Among them was the virtually unpublicized fact that the discrepancies in districts that favored Rossi equaled or exceeded those in King County.
Also conveniently left out is the fact that the "King County prosecutor" who is prosecuting this woman is...surprise, a Republican. The Secretary of State who certified the 2004 election is also a Republican. Amazingly, Secretary of State Reed is a person of integrity, more interested in the law than partisanship, a rare trait in today's political world.
Electoral systems in the US are a mess, but the 2004 Washington election was so close that either side was going to cry foul if the outcome didn't go its way. One problem that exists (and is quite obvious to me) is that people on both sides want to win more than they care about the law.
Miss McNamara, please forward this message to the DNC and to Palm Beach County, Florida.
Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist."
documentation for the 2004 Washington state election can be found at Here .Here is
One
"At least two non-citizens voted in King County in November, according to county records.
Chun C Chen of 7th Ave NE, Seattle
and
Ming Y Anderson of 6th Ave S, Seattle
are listed in the Dec. 29 and Jan. 7 versions of the voter database as permanent absentee voters, credited with voting absentee in November 2004.
They are also listed in the cancelled registrations file (which I obtained today pursuant to my public records request) as having their registrations cancelled earlier in 2005 with reason code "NOT A US CITIZEN".
I have no doubt you did your best as an election observer, but here is another person who had a totally different view of his
time as an Observer
"Our count was the second count of that precinct as there was a previous tally slip in the sealed box when it was opened. I was at least the third person to have viewed that ballot as it would had been viewed by the two counters during the previous count. Yet a ballot clearly marked as to not be a vote for Christine Gregoire was in with the ballots with Gregoire votes and not separated out in a way that would denote that it had been counted as anything other than a Gregoire vote."
The thing that scares me about his story and one has to read the entire post to have it make sense, but I just can't believe "During the hand count each ballot is viewed at least three times. Each table had it’s own procedure."
Does it make sense to have each table making up their own Procedure for a state ballot recount?
The US Attorney for the area was expected by many to be concerned about the election fraud in the 2004 election. Were their expectations Wrong
??????????
"I was particularly interested in McKay's investigation of the controversial 2004 governor's election, perhaps the most high-profile and contentious of the possible reasons for his termination. (McKay asserts that he still doesn't know why he was fired). Despite mounting evidence of illegal voting in that election that has come out since the 2005 trial (now at nearly 500 illegal votes, nearly 4 times the 133-vote margin of "victory" in the governor's race), McKay has maintained for nearly two years that he saw no evidence of a crime."
If you click on--nearly 500 illegal votes-- in the link above, one gets This
to show those figures.
John McKay went on to say; "He explained in the interview that the threshold of evidence he was looking for was for an informant to come forward with an eyewitness account of a conspiracy to change the outcome of the election. Short of that, he would not even send FBI agents to interview election officials about illegal ballots."
I think there was election Fraud in Washington State 2004 election and that the people that Americans expected to protect them against election fraud in this election did not.
The King County official admitted he certified the election results that were Incorrect"
"Here's yet another indication that election officials commited fraud in the November election.
Dean Logan admitted in his deposition on Monday that he knew that provisional ballots went into the Accuvote machine before he certified the election. Never mind the astonishing breach of public trust for covering this up for weeks. If he submitted to the canvassing board information that he knew to be incorrect and then signed off on the certification, that would appear to be a criminal act."
King County make an incorrect certification of the election, and the Sec of State relied on it, the results are history.
Election fraud/mistakes, whatever, should be investigated and charges filed/corrective action taken. In Washington State, this has not been done.
The determination as to who won the governorship should have been made after the fraud investigation was complete.
We permit no more ballot manipulation like they did in So. Florida in 200. No more of democrats trying to disallow military voters. No more 'finding' 'new votes' like they did in Washington State. No more non-counting of republican votes in Cook County, Illinois.
No more tolerance of democrat vandalism and criminal acts against Republican party offices. No more toleration of democrats pretending that ballot security is racism.
No more democrat false claims about non-existant ballot problems.
They are so transparently trying to turn our voting system into a Chavez-style one party choice it is not even funny.

You can understand the Dems wanting dogs to have the vote, how else are they going to get the female mixed breed Shrillary in office?
But let that be your last here, ok?

But seriously, as to the meat of your diary here, yes, yes, we should be gravely concerned about what the Dems are up to.
And we should fight them HARD. Every battle, and every skirmish too.
