Senator Jesse "The Body" Ventura?

Now this could just be Jesse Ventura playing with the media, but a lot of people in Minnesota seem to think he may throw his hat in the race for Senate. (Story Here)
I lived in Minnesota for five years and was there during the Governor reign of Ventura. I also have a lot of friends who are involved in politics in the area and actually think he could have a dramatic impact on the race. He's fiscally conservative, socially liberal, and commands a ton of media attention both in the State as well as nationally. He's one of those guys you absolutely hate one day, then cheer something he does the next. In an odd way, his personality was something refreshing from a politician. He didn't pander to anyone and just called people out when he felt it was needed. That approach also made it impossible for him to accomplish anything as Governor.
It's impossible to tell who he hurts more in the Senate race if he throws his hat in. Minnesota doesn't seem to be in love with either candidate at the moment, so it's likely he will grab a signifigant chunk from both sides. I don't think he has a shot at winning, but I didn't think he had a shot at becoming Governor either.
His entry in this could make the Minnesota Senate race one of the wildest contests we've seen for a seat in a long time.
This may be a bit outside the purpose of this post and if so I do apologize. For those who may think he'd be a bearable Senator check out his thoughts on 9/11. I agree with the poster, not sure who this hurts in the race. I don't follow or know much about MN politics, but the guy did get elected Governor so must be some type of a threat or have at least some appeal.

And this is Jesse looking for his monthly fix of media attention.
As you know, Jesse makes Al Franken look like a happy optimist...particulary if provoked.
If he ran it would fall under:
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
