I always laugh at people who get all huffy, claiming that RS is "fearing," "worshipping," "obeying," "subservient to" PC, or anything like that. It's just so completely unserious a thing to say. Sorta like when people scream about SHAMNESTY.

But really, is the fear of PETA and the feeling one has concerning an animal reason to pull a post? I just don't see it.

IIRC (since it wasn't up long) it was a small dig on Hillary, and made some comparison of her campaign woes (coming in second) to the tragic end of Eight Belles in the Derby Saturday (if you don't know the story, check it on ESPN.com or FoxNews.com).

I didn't think Uma was really out of line, but I pretty much roll with Mrs C17 on everything. And Mrs C just, well, is a lover of all things animal, and the Eight Belles thing is a fresh wound on her soul.

Reference was actually to a Clinton associate mortality problem that surfaces in e-mail forwards from time to time. Coincidence or conspiracy, I would never want Hillary as my VP.

and EB rises from the dead? And no, it's not ok!! Uma's efforts were thrown in the trashcan because a respected horse loving contributor is upset a horse had to put down. Slippery slope IMO only. I mean really, next year, or decade are we going to be sensative to the roses that were cut for this event? Or better yet, what about all the poor mint plants that gave their "limbs" for all those mint julips?

Look, I couldn't care less what you think about me, my opinions, and what not. Just give it a rest. I play no games here. I made a simple request. Uma could have complied or not. It wouldn't have mattered either way. People do it all the time. Sometimes folks comply, other times they do not. We all move on. Why can't you.
Some of us have a fondness for animals and hate to see a good one go down so young. And we aren't crazy for expressing it either.
