Just so you know where I am coming from....

My view (not necessarily anyone elses although many of my republican friends feel the same way)
1. McCain is moderate maybe even moderately conservative.
2. McCain is a traitor to his party and a backstabber on major issues.
3. McCain prefers attacking fellow republicans to democrats.
4. McCain deserves the same treatment back from us.

The situation....
1. I can't vote for McCain. Not an option.
2. I'd pretty much decided to just write someone in for President.
3. Everytime McCain pulls a North Carolina put down I temporarily swing to voting Obama.
4. I usually cool off and swing back to write-in candidate.
5. Here on redstate though I'm getting sick of it basically becoming republican state and if your a conservative against McCain then just shut up. That attitude really inspires me to go vote Obama.
6. No conservative site would pull such tricks.
7. Most conservatives don't like McCain. Many will hold nose vote for him some won't. Trying to shove a different view down our throats isn't doing any good.
8. What's the point of this site now? Is it a republican party get out the vote site or is it an area for debating discussing conservative thought?
9. Maybe you need to just take conservative out of your description and stick with Republican.. That way if they nominate David Duke for president you can jump on that bandwagon.
10. I for one have principles. Sometimes the person's character trumps their ideology.
11. John McCain no doubt is the most conservative but his character stinks.
12. Sometimes its better to live through a democrat than have a republican wreck the country.

Anyway if all of this is over the top then feel free to ban me... I'm not feeling especially welcome here anyway... I have a 100% republican voting record on all national elections... I will vote republican in all the local races... So sue me if I think John McCain is the devil.
