they're still getting our Military Aid. {Wuze up wid' dat?}

They got F-16's a-plenty, and 120 {at least} M-1 A-1 (A-2?) Abrahams tanks , complete with a {Knock-Down-Kit} KDK plant to put more of them together. Thank the U S and General Dynamics for that one....and who could make 'parts to print' for future units?
Ummm,let's see now...?
Not to mention handing out units to reverse-engineer, planes and tanks.
Frankly, it make me shake a trifle.

But the people any American should feel the most for are The Women of these to-be-oppressed countries.
It is, without question 'really going to suck, to be them'.
In Spades, with no recourse.
If 'Allah', really does "Will It", they got some heavy-duty moving to do.
That's even before you consider The Copts.........

Rick Santorum Statement on Election Results in Egypt
JUNE 18, 2012 5:30 p.m.

Verona, PA - Former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum issued the following statement regarding the election results in Egypt where Mohamed Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood candidate, is the expected winner:

"President Obama and his Administration contributed to the pushing out of a key U.S. ally in Egypt and unfortunately accelerated elections prior to laying the foundation for meaningful democracy. President Obama's confusion and ignorance over America's long-term interests in the world and the threat of Radical Islam has helped transform Egypt, who was a friend in a key region of the Middle East, into a center of leadership for Islamists.

"The United States and its leaders should fight against Radical Islam and violent jihadism; and instead stand for freedom of religion and conscience and for the equality of women. In Egypt, strong advocacy by the United States for meaningful democracy which protects the rights of minorities, including Copts, would have promoted our security and interests and the security of our ally Israel. Tragically, a great opportunity has been missed. We cannot afford four more years of naive and politically-correct foreign policy under President

the first thing egypt will do is void out that 1979 peace treaty. that will force israel to move its troops from other areas like syria and lebanon in order to protect their southern border. HAMAS has a lot to celebrate today. :(

hopefully america will have a new president in office who will stick with our long term loyal and dependable ally israel and not abandon them!!!!

political party. Egypt is deeply religious and deeply Muslim. That they won is no surprise. However, the military, which has been the real power in Egypt since Nasser, still holds the reins.

Two scenarios come to mind: 1) the military overplays its hand and you get another popular rising and strongly Islamic government; or 2) the military keeps the lid on and more diverse, less Islamic parties arise.

I think option #2 is more likely.

Though I have to say, I highly doubt that Barack Obama's solitary speech had much impact on the course of events at all. It's surprising to be sure, but sometimes foreigners' actions, misfortunes, and successes have nothing to do with the US.
