PPP Invents a Sestak comeback in Pennsylvania

While most polls for the Pennsylvania Senate are showing Republican Pat Toomey with wide leads anywhere from 7% to 10%, PPP,  a democratic polling firm released a poll today showing Democrat Joe Sestak leading by +1%.

How is this possible you might ask?  Considering Toomey has made no major blunders, and the national climate continues to favor Republicans, it seems it is not.

PPP last polled this race in mid August, in which they found Toomey up 9%.  So what accounts for this big change?  Looking at the poll crosstabs, it becomes abundantly clear:

In August they polled:

46% Democrats, 44 Republicans and 9% Indepedants

47% Voted for John McCain, 46% for Barack Obama.

Compare this to the most recent poll:

48% Democrats, 41% Republicans and 11% Indepedants

45% Voted for John McCain, 49% for Barack Obama.

So in short, its pretty simple; they just polled more democrats, less republicans, more Obama voters, less McCain voters, and then decided the race was now a “tossup”.

Never mind the fact that Rasmussen had Toomey up 10% just a week ago.  Perhaps the race has tightened since, but to call this a toss up is a complete joke.

TIME: Global Warming Now Starting Arson Fires

I’m no global warming skeptic, but I am skeptical of the attempts to cause mass global warming hysteria to force submission to liberal environmental policies.  This article is one such example of that.

Here is one of my favorite lines:

It’s important to acknowledge that no single weather event can be definitively caused by climate change.  (But this won’t stop us from using single events to induce mass panic any chance we get!)

Sure enough the article concludes its hysteria inducing non sense with this:

That’s one more reason why the world must work together to reduce global carbon emissions to minimize the impact of climate change. The trouble is, though, CO2 cuts won’t be enough.

So global warming is now responsible for naturally occuring hurricanes and arson fires.  We really need to get this manbearpig under control.

Stay Classy Barack Obama

This ain't over until we decide it is.

(RV)+7, (E)+7, (T)+2 (-3 in all three categories), overnight.

That is all. Also, Rasmussen will have a PA poll out today, which good news for McCain.

Fun Fact

If Obama's years in the senate were spent plumbing, he still wouldn't have the experience to own his own business.

In Ohio, you need to be a plumber for 5 years before you can get your “Masters license”, which allows you to own your own plumbing business.

Obama, has been a Senator for 4 years (2 if you subtract the time he has spent campaigning). So, if Obama was a plumber, he wouldn’t even have the experience to own his own plumbing business.

But don’t worry, he’s qualified to lead the free world.

CNN.com Poll Fixed

I tried to vote that McCain won the debate for 10 minutes and it would NOT go through. I changed the answer to “Neither” and it went through immediately.

This is complete nonsense, I am so sick of the f*ing media.

Obama Plagiarized McCain’s answer at Saddleback forum

Plagiarism We Can Believe In

The Saddleback debate was an almost undisputed win for John McCain. Apparently even Barack Obama felt that way, as he took took a page from Joe Biden’s playbook and completely plagiarized one of John McCain’s answers.

WARREN: Well, this one isn’t any easier. We’ve had a lot of leaders, because of their weaknesses, character flaws, stumble, become ineffective, are not even serving anymore, serving our country. What’s been your greatest moral failure, and what has been the great — what do you think is the greatest moral failure of America?

MCCAIN: They don’t get any easier.

WARREN: No, they don’t get any easier.

MCCAIN: My greatest moral failing — and I have been a very imperfect person — is the failure of my first marriage. It’s my greatest moral failure.

I think America’s greatest moral failure has been. Throughout our existence, perhaps we have not devoted ourselves to causes greater than our self-interest, although we’ve been at the best at it of everybody in the world.

I think after 9/11, my friends, instead of telling people to go shopping or take a trip, we should have told Americans to join the Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, the military, expand our volunteers, expand what you’re doing — (APPLAUSE) — expand what you’re doing, expand the current missions that you are doing, that you are carrying out here in America and throughout the world, in Rwanda. And I hope we have a chance to talk about that later on.

And you know — a little pandering here. The first words of your very successful book is “this is not about you.” you know what that also means? Serve a cause greater than your self-interest.

During the debate last night, Obama had the following to say, in response to a question on the President asking the American people to sacrifice:

Obama: You know, a lot of you remember the tragedy of 9/11 and where you were on that day and, you know, how all of the country was ready to come together and make enormous changes to make us not only safer, but to make us a better country and a more unified country.

And President Bush did some smart things at the outset, but one of the opportunities that was missed was, when he spoke to the American people, he said, “Go out and shop.”

That wasn’t the kind of call to service that I think the American people were looking for.
(edited some of Obama’s energy comments out here)

And the last point I just want to make. I think the young people of America are especially interested in how they can serve, and that’s one of the reasons why I’m interested in doubling the Peace Corps, making sure that we are creating a volunteer corps all across this country that can be involved in their community, involved in military service, so that military families and our troops are not the only ones bearing the burden of renewing America.

That’s something that all of us have to be involved with and that requires some leadership from Washington.

Are we starting to see a patern here?

(Insert shameful DNC attack/exploitation here) Republicans would do it in second(i swear!)

Earlier today I posted a blog about how Obama advisers are openly admitting to their plans to exploit Beau Biden’s upcoming overseas deployment in October.

It’s part of our narrative and we’re going to milk it for all it’s worth,” says one of the Obama advisers. “Republicans would do the same.

“Republicans would do the same.” This line jumped out at me, mostly because well, they haven’t done the same. (See McCain, Jimmy).

Later in the day I noticed that Democrats are now plotting to jingle keys in an effort to mock McCain’s multiple houses and also innocently making fun of McCain’s 5 years in a North Vietnamese prison camp. I also posted a blog about this.

Oddly enough, the same excuse is being used.

“The Republicans would do it in a heartbeat,” Ken says

Clearly the Democrats have found a black hole, where the despicable exploitation of Biden’s son for political gain, and the mockery of Vietnam Vets and POW’s everywhere disappear, simply because they falsely claim Republicans do it to.

Democrats Plot to mock McCain, Vietnam Vets and POW’s at their convention

The Democrats have come up with a fantastic idea for their convention. Every time John McCain is mentioned, they are going to jingle sets of keys. Why? Because McCain has 10 houses of course!!

Here is the plan:

Then another list member came up with the killer idea: During the convention, have everyone jangle their keys every time the name of the Man of Who-Knows-How-Many Homes is mentioned.

It would be great television. It’s reported that SEIU is bringing massive supplies of key rings and keys to Denver for distribution. Take it that one step further, and the media would love it, the public would see that we Democrats really do know how to have fun (and would also be reminded of who this “straight-talking” supposed man of the people McCain really is), and– best of all– the Republicans would go nuts.

This all seems innconent, until you remember that:

McCain has himself described having an adverse reaction to the sound of jangling keys, which reminds him of his Vietnam jailers. McCain also told doctors that during solitary confinement he had strayed pretty “far out” and had referred to himself as “mentally deteriorating.”

You see, the prison guard’s keys would jingle as they walked to give the POW’s their beating. Democrats apparently feel this should be mocked at their convention. This is the lowest of the low. They bring it up regularly when they accuse McCain of having PTSD.

And Don’t let them fool you, they are well aware that McCain has said this.

Team Obama planning to “milk” Beau Biden’s deployment “for all it’s worth”

Democrats will do anything to prove patriotism, save of course winning wars.

An Obama adviser has announced to the world that he will use Biden’s son to score political points, stating:

“Biden is very well aware that his son’s deployment is going to be a big part of what we do in October. It’s part of our narrative and we’re going to milk it for all it’s worth,” says one of the Obama advisers. “Republicans would do the same.”

Except they wouldn’t. John McCain’s own son has been deployed to Iraq, and he rarely if ever discusses it. Jimmy McCain even attended town hall meetings with him in New Hampshire and McCain never even mentioned he was present.

Not to mention the distinction between Jimmy McCain the marine and Beau Biden the JAG officer.

Another fun nugget from the same article, apparently Biden wasn’t even Obama’s first choice.

“He really wanted [Kansas Gov. Kathleen] Sebelius,” says one Obama insider with knowledge of the Democrat candidate’s vetting process. “And if our European tour had played better here at home, she might have been the pick.”

Article: How McCain Fought For Change in Iraq (A must read)

McCain turns Bush on Iraq war surge

The Washington Times has a fantastic article about the origins of the surge. It really exemplifies McCain’s commander-in-chief credentials and unmatched nation security/foriegn policy credentials.

It also points out how important Senators Lindsay Graham and Joe Lieberman were in the process. We owe these three men an enormous debt of gratitude for getting things on track in Iraq (yet we owe even more to our men in uniform).

We might not always agree with McCain, Graham and to a much greater extent Lieberman, however there should be no doubt in our minds that these men define the word patriot, in always putting their country first.

Hagel is done talking about the surge

Too bad McCain's not

Chuck Hagel says it is time to change the subject and stop talking about the surge. Here is his statement:

“Quit talking about, ‘Did the surge work or not work,’ or, ‘Did you vote for this or support this,’” Hagel said Thursday on a conference call with reporters.

“Get out of that. We’re done with that. How are we going to project forward?” the Nebraska senator said. “What are we going to do for the next four years to protect the interest of America and our allies and restructure a new order in the world. … That’s what America needs to hear from these two candidates. And that’s where I am.”

Well hold up there Chucky, why so quick to change the subject? Because Hagel sponsored an anti surge resolution, stating:

I do not believe that the United States should be sending more American troops into the middle of the tribal, sectarian civil war that is occurring in Iraq,” Hagel said.

Of course Chuck Hagel was clearly wrong on the subject of the surge, stating it has failed as recently as March. Looking forward to the future, not only his initial opposition to the surge but also his refusal to acknowledge its success, shows that Hagel, like Obama does not have the judgment needed to bring stability and lasting democracy to Iraq.

Also it would appear that Hagel is conceding Obama’s “judgement” argument by stating that the focus should be on the future, not judgments in the past.

Volunteer makes McCain ‘s**t list’?

This is an actual headline on CNN.com right now.

“Volunteer makes McCain ‘s**t list’?”

Before any mods get upset about language, this is the headline on CNN.com right now. Surely this must have been one of McCain’s famous angry fits or outbursts, right?

Well, lets look at exactly what happened at this New Hampshire Town Hall Meeting..,

A woman, who is voluneteering for McCain’s campaign had the following to say about McCain’s paid NH Staff:

“You’ve got to make some changes,” the woman told McCain. “I’ve had problems with a lot of your paid staff. You’ve got two people sitting right here next to me…They have done more work for you volunteering than a lot of your paid staff have. All your signs that are up outside today, they were put up by us, not by your staff people.”

Well, given the title of CNN’s article, this must have invoked some sort of steroid-like rage from McCain, right?

Well, not exactly:

“A lot of our paid staff, a lot of them are on work release programs as you know.”

McCain later said the staff problems would be fixed.

“We’ll have our folks sit down and chat with you about what needs to be fixed in your mind and in your view,” he said. “And let me just say again: I’m very aware, I’m very aware that the only way that campaigns succeed — and certainly the only way every one of mine have — is through volunteers, and I’m extremely grateful and I thank you.”

So from this exchange, someone at CNN decides to put up a headline, stating that John McCain has put a volunteer on his “Sh*t list”.

Remarkable.
