Technology is not in the Left’s favor here. Your gandfather’s first trimester isn’t today’s first trimester.

The Justices in Casey v. Planned Parenthood (1992) expressly recognized this. That’s why the majority backed away from the reasoning of Roe v. Wade and held that the right to an abortion was so ingrained in American law that it would be wrong to overturn Roe. Scalia utterly shredded this argument.

The next step is for the Court to say, “We were wrong in Roe and Casey, but stare decisis rules.”

The final step is for the Court to say, “We were wrong, and stare decisis does not justify adhering to incorrect precedent.”

You’re right that abortion affects so many. Only the pro-life side has shown a willingness to help everyone involved.
