The President will be making a speech today from the Rose Garden (echoes of Carter?) mapping out proposed savings of $3 trillion over the next 10 years. Senate Libs Complain About Government Shutdown Then Go On Vacation

Only in Washington can politicians get away with complaining about a government shutdown, while going on vacation for a whole week. Senate Democrats took to the air on Sunday to warn the American people about a government shutdown on March 4th. Good for Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH). He is one member of Congress that gets it. Clearly the Tea Party movement has an ally in Congressman Jordan and the Republican Study Committee (RSC). The President’s Debt Commission failed to garner the 14 votes out of 18 necessary this morning on the official commission report that would increase taxes by one trillion over the next 10 years.
