This is the time of year when controversial items are snuck into massive spending bills, so keep your eyes on Washington, D.C. The Senate is debating a controversial judge — Caitlin Halligan. The Second Amendment Under Attack In 2011
By: Brian Darling (Diary) | January 15th at 09:00 AM |
America is a nation in mourning as a result of the violent tragedy in Arizona last weekend. This is an appropriate time for prayer and national healing. This is not the time to restrict the Second Amendment rights of Americans to defend themselves from unbalanced individuals. The enemies of freedom will use the Arizona tragedy to push for gun control. streiff of Red State said it | Read More »
Obama’s EPA to Regulate Hunters and Fisherman
By: Brian Darling (Diary) | August 27th at 05:00 PM |
The Obama Administration is considering using the vast power of the federal government to ban the sale of certain types of ammunition. This administrative ban would increase cost for hunters and fisherman dramatically. If implemented, this ban would go against the will of the American people. Furthermore, this action is an inappropriate use of federal power. U.S. News and World Report posted a story today indicating that President Obama’s Environmental Protection | Read More »

This Week in Washington – July 12, 2010
By: Brian Darling (Diary) | July 12th at 09:00 AM |
Congress is preparing a massive push to get legislation passed this month before the long August recess. People prepare in different ways. President Obama prepared for the legislative push with a round of golf while the President’s Press Secretary Robert Gibbs blamed Republicans for all of the Obama Administration’s problems. This should be an interesting month of political posturing before Congress disappears for a month of | Read More »
Media Matters Continues Debunked Claim that Kagan is Not Hostile to 2nd Amendment
By: Brian Darling (Diary) | July 3rd at 07:00 AM |
Media Matters for America is pulling out all the stops to support the nomination of Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court. I dared to write a blog post criticizing Elena Kagan’s lifetime of anti-gun activism as evidence of the way Kagan would act and vote as Supreme Court justice. Media Matters targeted a few of my claims to criticize, yet they ignored the meat of my blog post. Media Matters wants Americans to | Read More »
Fact: Kagan is Anti-Second Amendment
By: Brian Darling (Diary) | July 1st at 02:00 AM |
President Obama’s nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court is hostile to the 2nd Amendment. That is a fact. Clear and convincing evidence in the public domain proves that fact. If you hear the left argue that Elena Kagan is not hostile to the 2nd Amendment, know that those claims are proven incorrect by Kagan’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee and her lifetime of anti-gun activism. Today in Washington, May 14, 2010
By: Brian Darling (Diary) | May 14th at 11:00 AM |
The Elena Kagan nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court is still in the early stages, but problems are emerging. Meet and greets for Kagan completed Day 2 and more one-on-one meetings are expected in the days ahead. Senators Susan Collins (R-ME) and Scott Brown (R-MA) sounded like supporters of Kagan after one-on-one meetings and had nice things to say about the nominee. Maybe they don’t even know that Kagan | Read More »

Guns and The Fairness Doctrine
By: Brian Darling (Diary) | February 26th at 06:09 PM |
Kudos to Senators John Ensign (R-NV), John Thune (R-SD), Tom Coburn (R-OK) and Jim DeMint (R-SC) for using the bill to provide a vote in the House of Representatives to the District of Columbia to force votes today on expanding gun rights and trashing the idea of the federal government regulating the radio airwaves. These senators used an unconstitutional bill to essentially treat the District of | Read More »
Senate Judiciary Committee Approves Holder – Only Two Conservatives Said No
By: Brian Darling (Diary) | January 28th at 12:48 PM |
The Senate Judiciary Committee hours ago voted 17-2 to approve the nomination of Eric Holder to be the next Attorney General. A floor vote on his nomination is expected for next week. The only two Conservative stalwarts voted no: John Cornyn (R-TX); and Tom Coburn (R-OK). Eric Holder, former Deputy Attorney General for President Bill Clinton, has taken actions that disqualify him from Senate consent to be the next Attorney General of | Read More »
