Democrat Fannie/Freddie Defense: LIE

Maxine Waters Gives a Sneak Peek

The lamestream media has been doing a pretty good job of shielding Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats from blame in the current credit crisis. It’s therefore no surprise that when Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) was called out for it by Steve Moore, her first instinct was to lie:

Waters denied having received donations from the Fannie and Freddie, but Open Secrets revealed a month ago that she had. She insists that she supported sensible regulations, when the videotape shows the opposite.

They are so Orwellian they cannot even conceive of how democrats can not be corrupt on this.

Extra points for the first Conservative who learns to interrupt and talk over democrats the way seem genetically able to do to Conservatives.

Proof against Obama’s lie. Here’s the actual letter written by members of Congress talking about Fannie and Freddie. John McCain plus 19 others signed the letter. No Obama, let alone any other Democrat in Congress. Check it out here

Some interesting thoughts on Hugh Hewitt’s blog, recounting his interview with Mark Steyn under the title:
“Mark Steyn’s economic and electoral Rx”

      To wit:
HH: Last question. The American media has hit a new low in the esteem of many today. An angry person at a Wisconsin rally brought this up, I?ll be talking about it a little bit later, that McCain?s got to fight back. Did you ever imagine that it could be this in the bag for a Democrat?

MS: I think this is really the worrying thing, that old media, which is on the ropes in terms of its market share, if they can drag their guy across the finish line, and it took them some effort in the primary season, if they can drag their guy across the finish line, I think you?re going to see a lot of attempts by the Pelosi-Obama left-wing government to regulate the internet and talk radio and all kinds of other things. I think this is in a sense a defensive play by the mainstream media.

HH: Oh, wow. That?s interesting. The good news is we have a conservative 1st Amendment majority on the Supreme Court. Mark Steyn, Columnist To the World, www.steynonline.com, thank you.

      End of interview.

Does she know she is lying or does she really believe this nonsense?

by President Obama’s third or fourth term we should see wholesale controls in place on free speech for anyone who disagees with The One.

during the next debate and ask him where his signature is.

are so convinced that they are ordained to govern over the rest of us riff-raff that they don’t see this kind of thing as a lie, merely doing what is necessary and appropriate to fulfill their destiny.

lied with such sincerity until it finally dawned on me that, to them, the truth is just something to be pulled like salt-water taffy. You can stretch it all you want as long as the final product is satisfactory.

Wonder where this goes. It’s odd timing though as there has no real “news” on that front.

She said; “That’s a LIE! I defy you to find $15,000…”
She speaks the truth, it was actually $17,800 grand total.
      No Justice, No Peas!
