MEMBER DIARY

Tim Mahoney (D-FL) is Done

It’s a good thing Tim Mahoney is a member of a party that respects women and has an enlightened view on gender issues. A Republican caught in flagrante delicto might have handled this in a misogynystic or sexist way:

You might conclude that Mahoney had treated his former girlfriend shabbily, but she’s being treated no worse than most other women that Democrats find inconvenient – from Sarah Palin, to Hillary Clinton, to Monica Lewinsky, to Chandra Levy, to Paula Jones. How long before the lamestream media begins to notice that Democrats are perfectly happy to destroy the reputations of women who stand in their way?

then this slime-ball held his press conference, yesterday, where he forced his unfortunate, uncomfortable wife to stand at his side while he went through the typical mantra: “…I apoligize to my wife and family…and this is a personal matter and no one else’s business”. How about the lies and misappropration of public funds? How about the hypocracy…while he was running as a “moral, family man” he was already having this affair. Yes, Phoney-Baloney Mahoney, it IS all about YOU!

We get rid of an embarassment, a homosexual Republican in that seat. The cost was 2 years of a “moderate” Democrat. Now we get to replace the Democrat (and the homosexual) with a real Republican. I can think of a couple of other House seats I would make that trade-off if the only cost is 2 years of a “moderate” Democrat. If we could purge ourselves of all Republican perverts the party will be much better off. The cost is too high in the Senate (6 years); but a complete purge in the House would be worthwhile.

    Mahoney is re-elected.

Come on, we’re talking about Palm Beach County, DemocratLand, land of the hanging chad and “devining the intent of the voter”

He’s not been involved in mind-reading the intentions of people casting votes to my knowledge.

How dumb are the Republicans? The Dems were at least smart enough to hang Foley around the neck of the entire Republican Party. We seem to think we are blowing the doors off by attacking . . . one Democrat?

Yay for Republicans, show ‘em yer in it to win it! I’m supposed to give money to these fools when they can’t even rouse themselves from their stupor long enough to start the ad with “he was hand-picked by the Democratic leadership,” throw in “his campaign has been bankrolled by the Democratic Party (led by Obama)” and that “not one single Democratic leader has asked him to resign (they must still support him)?”

    Comeon, jeez.

    Go git ‘em, tiger!

Rep. Foley’s shame was not that he was a homosexual – it was that he chose to target barely legal Congressional Pages for inappropriate communications. I literally could not care less who he chose to sleep with as long as it was another consenting adult and the relationship did not expose him to blackmail, conflicts of interest, etc. Keep in mind that Foley was not married. I’d much rather see the GOP purged of crooks, incompetents, and people that campaign as fiscal conservatives while legislating as spendthrifts than worry about who is gay. Big tent – remember?

Yes , that’s working well so far.

I don’t want to offend the what is it? 10% of homosexuals who vote Democrat but tell us they voted Republican and if we don’t start being nice to them they won’t vote Republican again!
And, yes, no one notices that we helped ourselves greatly in Ohio in 2006 with the homosexual marriage issue on the ballot while having Mark Foley in our midst. That didn’t factor into voters anger at us at all! It was because Mr. Foley was because he wanted to fool around with pages! Let’s keep telling ourselves that and the what is it? 10% of Democratic homosexual voters who call themselves Republican!

            1. This is just another example of the progressive illuminati flexing muscle where no muscle is. Since when do we need to express ourselves in such a vile and completely ignorant manner? Are we not the people who led the world for so many years and now we have bottomed out and can only focus on what personally offends us. It truly is a sad day in America.

How dreamy would it be if we could have a Republican candidate who was for a) higher taxes b) homosexual marriage and c) a weak military! How wonderfully big would that tent be! We would be immune from criticism and being called bigots and war mongers! Gee, that would be swell. Sure it would be anathema to 100% of what we believe in as a party, but as long as the candidate had a R by his/her name, I’d be happy and content in my tent!
