A Mandate Without a Vote?

Liberals Knew the Outcome in Advance

Roll Call writes that the liberal Campaign for America’s Future knew the outcome of today’s election before any results were announced. Surprise! America voted for an extreme liberal agenda:

Oh so nearly — but not quite — jumping the gun on its celebration, the liberal Campaign for America’s Future announced Tuesday afternoon that it will hold press conferences Wednesday and Friday to “outline the mandate defined in today’s elections.”

Wednesday’s event is a conference call to “release a new report on the themes and issue positions that united successful federal candidates.” High on the list will be talk of universal health care, clean energy and Obama’s tax plan. Friday’s event will feature results of post-election polls about major electoral themes by Democratic pollster Stan Greenberg.

One major theme of the election would apparently be the brimming confidence of the left. The release promises to connect reporters with “newly elected candidates and progressive leaders” and lists as participants in Wednesday’s event Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) and “Chellie Pingree, D-Maine,” who the group clearly expects will be Rep.-Elect Chellie Pingree (D-Maine) by then.

Even though the group is crowing about an “election mandate,” Center spokesman Toby Chadhuri admitted the results of the poll and the report are still in flux and dependent on today’s balloting.

Chadhuri said the point is that “the Democratic contenders have all unified around certain themes,” and the events scheduled will be an opportunity to talk about “issues that affect the progressive agenda,” whatever the election results bring.

The Campaign for America’s Future website is here. Regardless of the outcome of the presidential vote, they’ll push the Democratic majorities in Congress to enact an extreme agenda. That will present an opportunity for Republicans.

With 3% reporting, starting with Philadelphia, which is Obama’s strongest base and where we know challengeable voter fraud occurred in violation of a court order, why are they calling the state?

And how do you call MN, WI, and MI with 0% reporting in each?

Does that make sense to anybody?

    took advantages of opportunities?

Jeez–FL-16 was a chance to hang corruption around the neck of the whole dem party–just like they did when the won it–but, the idiots just sat on their hands.

    Yay, for the stupid party.

NY and IL influx of activities swayed enough in Midwest Swing States to pull this. South-West voted for hand-outs (HC for Illegals, etc…)

I know its over. I aint that stupid. I wish I were.
Remember all the negative stuff about the new, unknown, and untested George W. Bush in 2000?
Just think of all the negative stuff they said abut the now historic George W Bush.
Will they say the same about another historic unknown, Mr. Barack H. Obama?

You would not think so, considering their tone.

some day the R’s need to learn how to fight. They should have seen this coming two years ago, but they either didn’t or chose to ignore it.
The Mahoney scandal should have been hung around the neck of every dem in the land. To quote ABC, Mahoney was elected to remove the scandal of Foley. Well, guess what, he’s worse than Foley, and the R’s never went there.
