It seems that good Lindsey Grahama has locked the bearded, alternate universe Lindsey Graham in a closet, and showed up at the first session of the Democrats’ terrorist interrogation show trial:
“I don’t want to retry Nancy Pelosi, that’s not my goal but if you’re going to accuse these people in the Bush administration of being evil and committing a crime, then if she was told about [interrogation tactics] I want to know what she was told,” Graham said during a break in a hearing on Bush-era interrogation practices.
Graham spoke to reporters during a Judiciary subcommittee hearing entitled “What Went Wrong: Torture and the Office of Legal Counsel in the Bush Administration.” Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), the chairman of the Judiciary subcommittee on Administrative Oversight and the Courts, convened the hearing…
“Trying to understand what she was told is almost impossible, her story changes almost every day,” said Graham.
Whitehouse said Wednesday’s session was the first of what he hoped would be several Judiciary hearings on torture. Those other sessions have yet to be scheduled.
Even the Left recognizes Pelosi’s lies for what they are. If anything, Graham does not go far enough. The Speaker is third in line for the presidency. Her actions and statements are watched by our allies and enemies alike. She has waded too far into this to be allowed to slink away once her bluff is called. She needs to explain herself or resign - or both.

I vote both...nt

jburr Wednesday, May 13th at 2:09PM EDT (link)Look, there is nothing different about the way the democrats are acting now from the way they have acted for the last twenty years. Albeit they have doubled down on their effort during the last eight years, they are still doing the same thing, rolling with the political winds while they are popular and changing course as soon as they can exploit it.
Democrats are predictable, but so to have been the republicans. Democrats know that they can twist, expand, distort and in some cases out right change the truth because of a supporting media and an ineffective republican rebuttal, the sad fact is in some cases we just let them get away with it. If you need an example just look at the Bush administration, they spent the last five years just letting the opposition take shots at them. Although I did not agree with the spending, President Bush was a good man and deserved better from his country.
I am glad to see some republicans beginning to stand up. If it took the former Vice President to stimulate their back bones so be it. This is not the only issue that we can take a stand on, there is an unlimited number of options. Now we have to sit back and see if we will continue to fight or revert back to our passive past. One path will lead to victory and the other will lead to socialism. The choice is up to us.
Dick Cheney has always been the man...
realityunwound Wednesday, May 13th at 3:37PM EDT (link)He has an amazing sense of “place.” He understands that he has a) a high profile, b) a responsibility to tell the truth, c) nothing to lose. He is and always has been a leader. His current commentary on the reigning administration is much needed and, thankfully, bluntly and directly to the point. Well done Mr. Vice President.
I generally respect Bush for not addressing his detractors, but I think it went too far. By NEVER answering the claims, he gave the appearance of credibility and allowed the perceptions to be cemented in peoples minds.
It may not have worked out any differently, regardless of what Dubya had done, but I would have liked to see a bit more fight from him back then, and DEFINITELY more from the right at this point in history.
I will admit to being shocked that it’s coming from Lefty Graham, but I’ll take what I can get. Atleast he’s not calling for amnesty in Pelosi’s case.

The Dems have Stepped In It Now
reaganiterepublicanresistance Wednesday, May 13th at 3:19PM EDT (link)Obama really kicked an ant-hill with his ill-advised and politically-motivated release of Bush Administration memos regarding EITs.
Let’s have a hearing and get it all out there, shall we? Then watch the Democrat rats scatter who attacked Bush for protecting the country from terrorist attack… but who clearly knew what was going on five years before we heard a peep out of them.

I fear Graham will somehow turn this into a way to help Obama rid himself of this annoyance called Pelosi.
Through bungling, not intent.
At least he is saying something.
Of course he has always had something to say when there was a camera around. I must compliment him when he is right, though, regardless of reasons.
If Hoyer can seize the leadership from Pelosi, then Union thug control of the government will be complete.

So Lindsay has finally realized
