And having driven 3 Fords and had all three die under me due to mechanical failures, I will never drive another Ford again. I won’t even accept a Free Ford.

Not sustainable and replaceable to the US and where never intended to be US will still get not 8 but 6 out of 10, EU gets 2 of 10 and China get 1 of 10 and 1 stay in Canada. EU and China are not going to take those that the US does not. All that will happen is a stop to the making which would hurt every Canadians bottom line.

Don’t leave them out of your acceptable cars list.

I’ve never been a huge Ford fan (I have 2 Pontiacs, a Chevy, a Harley and a Jag*), but if I buy a new car in the future, I’ll consider Ford over any of the other not so big 3. Otherwise, I’ll have to go Toyota or some other foreign brand that is manufactured here. Over my lifetime, I’ve purchased maybe a dozen new vehicles and all but 2 have been GM products (a Harley and a Plymouth minivan). Unfortunately, Obama killed my favorite GM brand (Pontiac) and has ruined what’s left of the company. I’ll never buy another new GM product.

*Jaguar was owned by Ford when mine was manufactured and at the time I bought it used so technically I own a Ford product.

I and some others I know refuse to buy anything that the U.S. gov. has taken over, which for starters means no more American cars (unless it’s Honda, Toyota, etc. made in this country). We’ve had GM, Chrysler and Ford cars in the past few years and I’ll cut off my hand before I buy any of those ever again. We are attempting to boycott all union companies and anything that gives $$ to union pensioners. We can’t control where our taxes go but we sure as heck can refuse to buy from Obamathugs. A tarif won’t stop us.

If Canada hadn’t spent the entire campaign period solidifying trade deals with the EU and China, you’d still have a point.
Furthermore, if it were Canada cutting off Canadian imports to the USA, you might even Yet have a point.

But it’s not Canada alone. And Canada Did spend the entire campaign period making other trade deals.

And, most importantly, it is Obama and the Dem Legislature who are blocking Canadian imports from the USA.

So, please, tell me exactly how much hurt Canada is going to be feeling because of Canada’s actions…

things built in Canada goes the the US and if Canada was a state it would only be the third largest state.
This can show how much hurt it would be to Canada yet such a small effect as a whole on the market in the US.
