Rep. Tim Bishop (D-NY) Runs from Constituents

Gee, it looks like Long Islanders don’t much care for their representatives toeing the liberal line of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. And when they come out to express their displeasure, Congressman Tim Bishop can’t take any time to address their concerns – instead, he runs away (skip to 45 seconds or so in to get a quick glance at Mr. Bishop running into a townhall meeting):

Lest you think I exaggerate – that he’s not really running from them – Congressman Bishop has now canceled at least one of his upcoming townhall meetings. He had previously been scheduled to meet with constituents in Montauk on July 1; now that event has been cancelled.

Why don’t Democrat Members of Congress want to hear from the voters?

      This was an amazing rally where Tim Bishop was obviously made to feel very uncomfortable in his own skin. I have called Tim Bishop’s office this morning to tell them that Long Islander’s say NO NO NO to Cap and Trade Tax. I asked about his upcoming Town Hall Meeting and the Ronkonkoma meeting will go forward for people who live in Ronkonkoma. If you live in the area you will get a phone call is my understanding. This seems very odd to me.

      There are some exceptions to the rule but the Dems say one thing and do another. The last Democratic congressional I voted for(the only one as well) was the late Frank Tejeda(TX-28). Where my parents live, thier’s no chance that Ciro D Rodriguez would ever get his vote.

      … but of course Oberf?hrer Napolitano would categorize all these people as “Right Wing Extremists” … probably working up a report right now on “Tea Party Extremists” who buy up gobs of English Breakfast or Earl Grey. Who knows, she might classify Tetley or Lipton as “Subversive” organizations in need of nationalization. LOL

    It started with a small group of activist in my area who formed the Conservative Society and a Local 9/12 Project
    I attended this rally and plan to attend as many as I can. I also go to Tea Parties and voice my concerns there. We have to participate to make a difference. GET INVOLVED. Thanks to those who do. God Bless America
