Vic Snyder (D-AR) Trails Griffin

Congressman Vic Snyder was first elected to Congress in 1996. Since his first race, he has never won with less than 58% of the vote. And in 2008, he was re-elected without opposition. Nevertheless, he is regarded as one of the most endangered Democrat incumbents because of his district’s Republican lean.

According to a new poll by Survey USA, Snyder trails his Republican challenger by a huge margin:

If there were an election for US House of Representatives today, and the only two candidates on the ballot were Democrat Vic Snyder and Republican Tim Griffin, who would you vote for?

Vic Snyder (D) 39%
Tim Griffin (R) 56%
Undecided 5%

Do you approve or disapprove of the job Barack Obama is doing as President?

Approve 33%
Disapprove 63%
Not Sure 4%

Assume Vic Snyder votes to pass the version of the health care law that DOES require every American to carry private health insurance. If there were an election for US House of Representatives and the only two candidates on the ballot were Democrat Vic Snyder and Republican Tim Griffin, who would you vote for?

Vic Snyder (D) 35%
Tim Griffin (R) 58%
Undecided 7%

Snyder has raised almost no money for his re-election bid; he has generally refrained from significant fund-raising in off years. His name appears on virtually every watch list of potential Democrat retirees. Griffin on the other hand, is seen as ‘a rising star‘ for the GOP, and raised more than $130,000 in the last quarter. Facing a challenge like this, it would surprise no one if Snyder opted to retire.

I lived in Little Rock from 2006-2008 and wanted to run against this JA but couldn’t get the state GOP to follow up after initial phone calls and e-mails. The result was an unopposed Snyder in 2008. I’ve since moved out of his district but I’m very happy to see this Lib out of water finally with a target on his back. He needs to go back to Oregon from whence he came. He’s really earned the ire of Arkansans over his support for amnesty as well as more recently on health care. Typical Pelosi-bot. Needs to go.

Why are we sitting by idly while the heads of unions are allowed access behind the “golden door” to the health care negotiations? Why are we screaming our fool heads off at each and every one of our elected representatives over this?
Scott Brown may be the 41st vote but my Congressman and woman are part of the 59 and I’m mad that THEY are allowing this to happen.
Who said the unions have more rights than ordinary working Americans to go to the table and say what we will and will not accept?
Do they make up a majority of the work force in this country?
Did we pass a law that says Union Leaders get to come to the table?
    Are Americans blind?

This is why republicans continue to gain momentum – republicans are becoming our “union representative” and even they do not have a seat at the table – but given enough of them, they soon will and this nonsense will stop and we can go on about our lives instead of living everyday considering what we need to do to protect ourselves and our country from our government.

Thank you President Obama for making a seat at the table for all your Union cronies – and thank you main stream media for not questioning it – ho hum, business as usual – big labor defines National Health Care –

It’s not Teds seat and it’s not the unions seat – it’s the american seat! Mr. President – tear down that door!

based on the past (general) elections. With all of the outside influences migrating to this state and known past voting fraud, I will wager that ACORN et al will be busy sending in untold numbers of absentee votes of fantasy voters (ficticous or dead). My concern will be after the election and they do the counting of these votes in the 10 day post election window and what the percentage is of these “voters”. This is a machine we are up against and I find it hard to imagine that all the stops will not be pulled to keep this in the D’s firm grip.

Didn’t shake out that way, did it? In NEW JERSEY! So if we can get New Jersey to get rid of Corzine and not let the election be stolen, then why not Massachusetts? Yes, I know Scott Brown represents the 41st vote on our side. That may scare the crap out of Obama and Co., but it plainly thrills the average citizen who doesn’t want the health deform bill to pass.

My guess is that if the Dems try to blatantly steal this election, they will lose much more than just the supermajority.

The dems will do anything on this one, since it is Kennedy’s seat they can steal, lie, cheat, discredit and drink there opponents under.

The best tribute to Senator Kennedy would be for his family to apologize to the Families that were ruined by his father the gangster, while inserting his sons into politics
