Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker Launches Campaign to Fend Off June Recall

For months Big Labor and their Democratic allies have been taking shots at Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker. After failing, for the most part,  to stymie implementation of the new labor law through the courts, they’ve triggered a recall election this June (the Dem Primary will be May 8th).

On Tuesday, Walker was joined by his Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch as they kicked off the campaign to keep their jobs, vowing to keep moving Wisconsin forward.

    It is awful that the County District Attorney, Judges etc. signed his recall petition including the Judge that heard the case. He can NOT get a fair election in that country.

    On Friday, March 23, 2012, Verify The Recall submitted recall signature eligibility reports (created by True The Vote) directly to the Government Accountability Board, setting a new precedent in direct citizen interaction with their government! The GAB now has a choice to make: will they freely consider the information presented by VTR, or will they force the citizens of Wisconsin to pursue legal action? The ball is in the GAB’s court, but one thing is sure: VTR remains fully committed to ensuring that the people’s findings are considered by their own government.

    VTR is working hard to finish its final reports to submit to the GAB. We’ll keep you updated on our progress. Thankfully (and contrary to the GAB’s statements), the GAB has shown interest in VTR’s findings already.
