Paul Ryan answers the question: What would be Milton Friedman’s take on the current dismal Obama economy?

On the 100th anniversary of the birth of economist Milton Friedman, United States Congressman Paul Ryan reflects on the state of the US Economy and offers his take on what Friedman would say about the public policy prescriptions emanating from the current Administration in Washington, D.C.

Well said, Congressman.

I was first exposed to Milton Freidman during a high school economics class in the mid 1980s. Between Uncle Milty, mowing lawns, shoveling snow and working at McDonald’s, I quickly learned about the morality and beauty of the free market.

Friedman was a brilliant mind, a quick wit and understood how to reach the masses. To wit: His PBS series Free to Choose stands the test of time.

I suspect, were he alive today, he’d have one hell of a twitter feed.
