So, “They” should give him credibility (Hope) for what he is saying and not actionable items?

I need some help here also, what line and paragraph are you using for this statement? ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), has a mandate that is race, creed, and country of origin non specific.

Victor Davis Hanson sumed up our military best when he said their strength was; free, land owning men goverened by civilian rule.  If by civilian rule we can agree Laws established by elected civilian leadership, than rewarding any nationality that breaks our laws with a position of trust in the military will be a very slippery slope! (may I counter with a 4 year term as a Liberal Journalist then citizenship?)

We are the greatest melting pot of nationalities in the world today. which group of us, is this thinly veiled racist charge made?

“You’re not going to get any help from the media, I can tell you that much,” Rivera said. “If you want to cure a low-rated program or unpopular host, all you have to do is bash an undocumented immigrant or illegal alien.”

Now you throw a blanket over an entire industry with no specifics!?  This is a shameful statement from a MSM investigative journalist/reporter.

I Challenge you! Prove to me why I am wrong to think you are a shameless individual, and a stellar example of all that is wrong with MSM reporting today!

What other side? The side that upholds existing laws? Few Americans have the time to dwell on what “race” another American is, we are worried about selective enforcement of laws, we are worried about an unequal application of justice, we are worried about our children, and what future they face if the playing field continues to slant and slope based on Socio Political demographics.

Obama Scares me! There, I said it.

My Chosen Craft is that of a Crusader/Shepherd, earning my Green Beret at the age of twenty, then going on to spend the last twenty years as an Operator and Senior Manager in the Executive Protection business, working in very dangerous ultra high threat locations protecting High Value Principals.

I give that background as rationale so that you better understand how critical it is for me to understand the importance of socio-economic politics and, how critical it is for me to accept them for what they are, and not what I wish them to be, (with consequences being life or death).  Being able to “glimpse the maze from above” requires the judicious employment of Reasoning (or Logic), which takes both effort and a conscious choice to execute.

No generation before us has ever been witness to the growth of consciousness and technology that we have witnessed and pioneered in the last Sixty plus years.  The development of the internet as a means of communication is shaking the very core of belief systems, and is changing forever global boundaries:

• No longer can Mullahs be assured their flocks are getting news only from the preachings at a mosque.
• No longer do students have to take at face value the ranting of an agenda driven professor
• No longer do we have to subject our material needs to the corner store
• Cell phones have matured, and have made communications instantaneous; our ability to “keep in touch” is near limitless
• Value Producers seem to be reaching the apex of what is possible for fully integrated rational thinking opportunists

Our application of reason, tempered with common sense and wisdom tell us that we are a good people, a people that have been crafted from the greatest melting pot ever known!

Yet;

• The Fundamentalists among us want to put the genie back in the bottle and return to a time when it was easier to subjugate minds and control the masses.
• The Socialists among us have departed from the “glass is half full” argument and went straight to the “glass is dirty and you’re and idiot” argument.
• No longer is there any “Evil”, for if there is evil, then there surely would have to be “Good”, and to ensure this is so, we are treated to news cycles aimed at an elevation and understanding of evil, and a disparaging and disassembling of good, thusly, if evil is not that evil, and good really is not that good, then there truly is only perception, and the media will manage the perceptions for us, so that we are not required to; integrate, rationalize, nor compound, any type of thought.  We only have to nod our heads in emotional agreeance and trust that a higher power will arise and make it all simple for us again.

The Political Elite in America have set themselves above us by their own decree, aided and abetted by a vast majority of the very members of the media which should serve as our outer perimeter trip wire, and Americas’ value producers have lost all confidence in the current rhythm of Washington.

The vast majority of Americans Internally verify their self worth by creating opportunities for themselves so that they can live better their lives, and concurrently enrich the lives of those around them, while a growing minority seeks external verification by grasping culturally popular concepts such as global warming, world peace, and the legislation of equality to the lowest common denominator so that no person should feel inferior in either effort or results.

I would soon tire of it were the stakes not so high!

“The Doctrine of Completed Staff Work”

Extracted from an order published by the Provost Marshal General in January 1942

The Doctrine of ‘completed staff work’ is the doctrine of this office.

Completed Staff Work’ is the study of a problem, and presentation of a solution, by a staff officer, in such form that all that remains to be done on the part of head of the staff division, or the commander, is to indicate his approval or disapproval of the completed action. The words ‘completed action’ are emphasized because the more difficult the problems is, the more the tendency is to present the problem to the chief in piecemeal fashion. It is your duty as a staff officer to work out the details, no matter how perplexing they may be. You may and should consult other staff officers. The product whether it involves the pronouncement of a new policy or affects an established one, should, when presented to the chief for approval or disapproval, be worked out in finished form.

The impulse which often comes to the inexperienced staff officer to ask the chief what to do, recurs more often when the problem is difficult. It is accompanied by a feeling of mental frustration. It is easy to ask the chief what to do, and it appears so easy for him to answer. Resist the impulse. You will succumb to it only if you do not know your job. It is your job to advise your chief what he ought to do, not ask him what you ought to do. He needs answers, not questions. Your job is to study, write, restudy and rewrite until you have evolved a single proposed action…the best one of all you have considered. Your chief merely approves or disapproves.

Do not worry your chief with long explanations and memorandum. Writing a memorandum to your chief does not constitute completed staff work, but writing a memorandum for your chief to send to someone else does. Your views should be placed before him in finished form so that he can make them his views simply by signing his name. In most instances, completed staff work results in a single document prepared for the signature of the chief, without accompanying comment. If proper result is reached, the chief will recognize it at once. If he wants comment or explanation, he will ask for it.

The theory of completed staff work does not preclude a ‘rough draft’, but the rough draft must not be a half-baked idea. It must be complete in every respect except that it lacks the requisite number of copies and need not be neat. But a rough draft must not be an excuse for shifting to the chief the burden of formulating the action.

The completed staff work theory may result in more work for the staff officer, but it results in more freedom for the chief. This is as it should be. Further, it accomplishes two things:
a.The commander is protected from half-baked ideas, voluminous memos and immature oral presentations.
b.The staff member who has a real idea to sell is enabled more readily to find a market.

When you have completed your staff work, the final test is this:If you were the commander, would you be willing to sign the paper you have prepared, and stake your professional reputation on its being right?If the answer is no, take it back and work it over, because it is not yet completed staff work.

More than a Feeling?

This was my first trip to the MI GOP State Conventions as a delegate; my background is that of a crusader of sorts; US Army Special Forces, an Executive Protection Specialist and now as editor of this web site. Although my attendance was as a delegate, for transparency purposes (along with some shameless promotion), each attendee that I engaged in conversation with was handed a BriefSynopsis.com business card so that there was no question as to my allegiances.

Conventions are, in most cases little more than an opportunity for the attendees to huddle in hallways and commiserate with old or new acquaintances. Any one attending a political convention with the hope of having input or impact, other than which hotel or motel to stay in, are only setting themselves up for disappointment. The just concluded Michigan GOP convention in Lansing reinforced the Top Down manner in which political parties operate is still alive and well. Among many of the attendees that I spoke with there are great angst’s with this continued approach; I will target a few points now and expound more in future articles why this too shall end in folly.

1. If the outgoing leadership were such wiz bang leaders, where is there more than rhetorical proof? Pointing to a few small skirmishes that were won by individual candidates is not a feather in the Command staffs cap, recruiting, training, equipping and informing a multifaceted fighting force is the Generals most commanding role. County Chapters are still, by and large, left to fend for themselves for; party message, information and technological synergy. (Understanding and appreciating all that Saul has done for our party, we will, and very well should, be forever appreciative. Saul’s biggest contribution is exposing what more must be done to integrate County-District-State-National continuity in the information age.)

2. What is the Michigan GOP message? Anyone? I could not begin to tell you that which we as a party are for. I heard a whole bunch of how we are going to really make gains based on the predicted incompetence and the emerging fiasco going on in Washington, but is that enough? (Side note to all of you on the main stage; if a well Known, and name recognized person is speaking and you have to interrupt her to ask people to stop talking so that she can finish, there might be a message problem!)

3. Chairman Weiser says “We must do it. We can do it. We will do it. We will win.” Ambassadors are not known for their ability to delegate to or take suggestions from the foot soldiers in their down line, if the new Chairman thinks he is inheriting anything other than an organization that has been “weighed measured and found lacking” than he is in for a few rough years on the social circuit. Regardless of the biases in the Main Stream Media, and in spite of the Organized Educational Indoctrination against the Republican Brand, it is the organization systemic structure that is faulty.

We at ground level can and should be assisting the party in returning the systemic power back to the County-District-State-National Level. If you can support the counties with; electronic infrastructure (web sites), Operational structure, continuity and process checklists, then allow message, information, news and report sharing from the National-State-District-County, the ranks will swell immediately and bring with it vetted individuals, email addresses and accurate snap polling form the grassroots level. By and large Conservatives, Libertarians, and Republicans all distrust the current and emerging structure of top down dictation. Washington has become way too powerful, if we, as a party, are going to accept battle (are they not at war with us?) than we must and should organize ourselves into the structure we wish to implement, not the structure we fear! Every Special Forces Candidate learns in the earliest phases of training that you Delegate to empower and build trust not to transfer your Burden.

Final Point for emphasis, having Vice-Chairs for; Coalitions, Grassroots, Youth, Ethnic and Outreach are all great and much needed. Where are the Media, Educational and Veterans Vice-Chairs?
