Claire McCaskill’s staff shows their profound concern for Missourians

Not really.

…by flipping them off, locking them out, and calling the police on them.

As Gateway Pundit reports, this past Friday a Tea Party protest outside Democrat Senator McCaskill’s offices in St. Louis was received by her staff with obscene gestures and a refusal to hear their concerns. The protesters were voicing their objections to socialized, government-controlled healthcare and the inevitable (and already-proposed) tax increases and related financial irresponsibility being proposed by the Democrats. Apparently the staffers felt “they were being threatened”.

Real threatening-looking crowd, eh?

Um, no. Police? Senator McCaskill, is that how you respond to your constituents’ concerns? By insulting them and chasing them away?

Last night Senator McCaskill twittered: “I moved my office from fed bldg to street front when I got elected to make it more user friendly, approachable.“.

More approachable. Right.

(Update: McCaskill attempts to explain her staff’s behavior.  Not a real apology, you’ll notice: “sorry you were offended” rather than “sorry my staff members were such idiots”.  Moe would have banned her for that pathetic attempt.)

So I wouldn’t know when this woman is up for reelection but she should definantly be voted out when that time comes. It seems to me that that kind of defiance and outright disirespect of the constituents seems to be a defining trait of the Democrats. The excuse that the protesters were a threatening bunch is pathetic. They look like the Bingo group from your local church.

I think.when are people going to realize that their concerns mean less than nothing to politicains? The only time they pay attention is when they need to look like they care during an election cycle. They count on the sheeple to have short attention spans.Failing that, they have ACORN to fall back on along with courts to steal close elections for them.

    She’s up in 2012.

I should think that there is a certain someone who is gearing up for that race (despite rumors she is going to jump into the 2010 race against Congressman Blunt).

it’s no wonder Senator McCaskill’s staff was frightened! I mean this obviously menacing group with their combat fanny packs and sliver hair unit designation is absolutely unnerving. I can just imagine the scared bunny stares of her staff as the heinous banner of these insurgents was unfurled, then as what little courage existed quickly palled- the frantic emergency dialing and the cry for help, “911, this is an emergency- they are waving American flags in front of our office!”

No thanks – I’d rather have a conservative Republican in that seat.

and then cry like a baby when anybody opposes them by going with their PC elcrapo. Guess what democrats we don’t believe in your PC elcrapo and its ok when we kick back against your trainwrecks whether you, obama, leafy or McCaskill cry and whine. We can handle it. Keep exposing these trainwreck thugs.
Rememeber the government and Unions mange the trains. Do we people like obama and McCaskill in caharge???????

but they are starting to wake up. Just make sure, when election time come around, to remind people of such incidents and keep it in the spot light. If she says she’ll “stand up for her constituents and stand up to Washington” someone should remind her of when some of the citizens tried to voice their concerns to her and she responded with the police.

But we stood our ground, thunderstorms and all and got the far left liberals here all riled.

    You are not alone

Claire’s staff had to be scared to prove a point–there weren’t any black faces in that crowd, so of course they were afraid. Equal opportunity fear–if Obama’s Granny could cross the street to avoid a frightening black man, Claire’s staff could call the cops on some non-threatening white crackers.

Maybe they’ll all meet with Obie’s Granny under the bus.

Responsibility can’t be delegated. The buck stops with the idiot who appointed the idiot who hired the idiots. Maybe even with the idiot who didn’t protest a rigged election to bring the current idiot into office. Or with the idiots who voted for her.

OMG, they were actually waving flags at the staff. Threatening them with an outward show of patriotism.

  • cat007

But that wasn’t the point, Was it? You wanted a confrontation. They gave you one. It wasn’t smart on their part, but it wasn’t noble on yours either

She has an ability to tell the most obvious huge whopper of a lie in the straightest possible face. If you’ve ever seen her on a Sunday morning talk show you know what I mean.

Truly there is nothing more confrontational than the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Especially when the people peaceably assemble outside the office of their representative.

Perhaps if they had done so at her home, and insulted her children, it would have been more appropriate.

  • janis

who are pushing legislation and huge tax burdens on us and the next three generations or so to come after us? They were protesting to make a point, not to just drop in and say “Howdy.”

From the article, I don’t think McCaskill’s staff gave the protesters a confrontation. Given the craven behavior or her staff, it seems unlikely that they could have given a wedgie, much less something as robust as a face to face yelling match.

  • Brian Hibbert

    Are these people more noble?

    Perhaps these?

The people pictured outside McCaskill’s office are demondtrating in about the most noble way I can imagine for a demonstration. Or are you just against free speech in general?

  • tanstaafl1019

Dissent isn’t patriotic anymore. Now–that is, with the left in full control–it’s treasonous.
