We’re all familiar with Barack Hussein Obama (mmm mmm mmm) and his fondness for expressing his condescending, arrogant, self-inflated attitude via a nose-upturned pose. It seems that his protégé, (Where In The World Is) Robin Carnahan, has adopted the same approach.

That’s all we need in Missouri - a Barry wannabe who turns her nose up at her constituents. Just like her mentor.

Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. State of Pandemic
RoscoeP Saturday, October 24th at 2:40PM EDT (link)I see that we are now facing a national swine flu emergency. Does anybody think it is coincidence that he refered to it as an “emerging pandemic”? . . . never let a good crisis . . .
The national emergency is BS, according to CBS

Xasteius, I read that CBS article you link here.
janis Saturday, October 24th at 2:58PM EDT (link)I read it the other day when I saw it at Drudge for the same reason you link it here. But it doesn’t say what you assume it might have meant. They were saying it from the standpoint that many people have assumed that what illness they had was H1N1, but in many, or even most, cases, it wasn’t. At least that’s what they say.
The point in the article was that, by assuming these previous cases were H1N1, then the folks who were sick would be immune from getting it again. But if they didn’t have it at all, then they were still susceptible. So there you go, another “The sky is falling–maybe” type article.
Like many here, I see this as a government mandated and manipulated emergency. It’s been called an “emerging pandemic” for a good 8-9 months at this point. Guess that because Avian Flu hasn’t panned out yet, they decided to jump on this one. I understand it can be dangerous, but then again, so can getting an operation in a hospital with MRSA running rampant.
Hmmm, let's see now....
TNJim Saturday, October 24th at 3:11PM EDT (link)Obama, Health care reform tanking in the polls, more Dems opposing HCR for one reason or another, major networks support Fox staying in the WH press pool, governorship of VA about to go to a Republican with NJ a dead heat, national emergency declared because of H1N1.
Got it.

TNJim, I'm shocked, I tell you, SHOCKED, that
janis Saturday, October 24th at 3:31PM EDT (link)you would call shenanigans on these people! What are you thinking man? They are doing it FOR THE CHILDREN, THE CHILDREN, THINK ABOUT THE CHILDREN.
Because every single time they report fatalities, they make double sure they emphasize the number of kids who have died of this virus. While not taking anything at all away from those unfortunate families who’ve had to experience that most horrid of tragedies, they don’t bother to give any context at all. What underlying medical problems did any percentage of them have? Did they receive medical care in a timely fashion? Were they in a facility where their condition was diagnosed and treated appropriately?
Nada. Just throw the numbers out there and try to panic people. Although there was a case in Murfreesboro a couple of weeks ago, a 12 year old girl who became ill with H1N1, they think, who did pass away. And on the news, this most curious phrase was used, “The doctors say she had unknown complications.” Excuse me?
Complications unknown to doctors?
TNJim Saturday, October 24th at 4:34PM EDT (link)Yeah, “Excuse me?” Really.
One of the big complications in any flu is pneumonia, which has its own set of complications and can be devastating to an already weakened immune system. Like you I’m not taking anything at all away from those who have lost someone to this flu, or anything else. We need to know what underlying complications existed in these deaths, an earlier illness? Liver damage? A concerned public needs to know these things.
Heh, me? Call shenanigans on the “never let a good crisis go to waste” crowd?
Yes’m, neighbor. Every time. If this was any other administration, even Clinton’s, I wouldn’t be concerned of a ulterior motive at all.

Yes, TNJim, unfortunately paranoia is the order of the day.
janis Saturday, October 24th at 5:21PM EDT (link)I know we’re supposed to be the rational crowd around here, and I think we’ve done a pretty good job of staying that way. But to view all the things that have happened since last January, and to now know how some of those turned out, how corrupt they were compared to how they were sold to an uncritical media and to adoring supporters as such wholesome and innocent programs, well, it’s not paranoia if they really ARE out to get you.
And my apologies for that last run-on sentence. Obama’s mind control made me do it. Time to get the Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil instead of that cheap stuff.
Yeah, and...apparently the peak is here or already past
bs Saturday, October 24th at 3:03PM EDT (link)depending on who you talk to. So we’ll have all these vaccines, and there will be nothing for which to vaccinate.
(Via the New York Times)
Brilliant.
Furthermore, their bumbling on the vaccines has put the supply of seasonal vaccines in jeopardy. I tried for a week to find a source of the seasonal vaccine, and everywhere I went was out of stock. Fortunately my employer’s office I was visiting this past week had a clinic where I was able to get a shot. So by overreacting - too slowly - the gubmint has caused a shortage in the vaccines for the “normal” flu. Note the last sentence in this article
Brilliant.

Yes, bs, my grandchildren had appointments
janis Saturday, October 24th at 3:10PM EDT (link)this morning to get the flu shots at the biggest pediatric clinic in Murfreesboro, but were told when they got there that there were no more shots available and they’d have to take the nasal mist vaccine. The one with live virus and some flu-like side effects. Their mom went ahead and had them get it because the clinic told them they weren’t expecting to get anymore of the seasonal vaccine at all.
I’d be willing to bet that more deaths from seasonal flu might happen this year due to this kind of stupidity on the government’s part. And I hope I’m wrong.
Exactly what I was thinking.
bs Saturday, October 24th at 3:20PM EDT (link)But will we hear those stats? Doubtful.

Robin Carnahan's attitude is unsurprising...
Third Street Sunday, October 25th at 1:59AM EDT (link)…I’m sure she believes that, by virtue of being a Carnahan, she has a divine right to that Senate seat. She’s probably miffed she has to lower herself to running for it at all.
