Looks like Robin Carnahan WILL be appearing with Obama

Could it be that the heat from both Democrat and GOP sides became a bit much for her?

Jim at 24th State received word today that MO Sec’y of State Robin Carnahan, presumptive Democrat candidate for Kit Bond’s Senate set, would be canceling out on a fundraising engagement (note: I had previously stated it was in DC, but I can’t verify that…) so she can attend Obama’s appearance in Macon, MO this week.

Now this is pretty last minute notice.  But I guess after missing the last event with “pre-scheduled” events, Carnahan couldn’t afford to have more stories come her way.

The bigger question is where the Missouri media was. Did no one think to ask her campaign if she was going to Macon once it was announced?  I know she wants to run a Rose Garden campaign, but shouldn’t someone, somewhere be checking her calendar?

Bigger question indeed.  Why is it that the old-guard media isn’t covering these things, yet conservative bloggers seem to be able to?  Perhaps they don’t want to expose the truth about how Dem candidates like Robin Carnahan are trying to dodge Obama?

Inquiring minds want to know.

    What Missouri media? The KC Star? What a joke. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch? Lol! Columbia? Hah! The only thing any of them are good for anymore is … well, I don’t believe they’re good for anything, now that I think about it.

    For your information, they ARE working on this story – working hard, too, using their multiple key high-placed sources, checking every lead twice, getting two independent confirmations of every tip, delving ever deeper with their superior experience and existing structures, and the fact-checking – Oh! the fact-checking this story must be getting! Through all the many splendored “layers of editing” over and over, again and again!

    See, you amateurs don’t understand that you just can’t “run” with any old story, it needs to be developed, seasoned, tested, aged like a fine wine before it is fit for the public’s palate. BUT when they get there – hoo boy! Look out!

    Expect them to be done with the preliminary investigation by the week before Christmas.
