The joy of several prominent media outlets in response to the mass murder in Oslo more than two weeks later remains unmistakable. President Obama has been criticized for lack of support for Libyan rebels. He has also been criticized for not launching a full-scale military operation in support of these rebels. A lesson from the previous century should guide him in deciding how to proceed.
