Another great day in America as Ron Paul has ended his campaign. He ran out of money….darn.

Short diary, but sweet!

Replacing Obama is priority #1 if we are to reclaim the republic. Ron Paul imploring his legions of supporters to back Romney would give the future president a lethal boost.

    • Scope

      that Paul endorses Gary Johnson.

      • APA Guy

Ron Paul has given absolutely no indication that he will do the right thing…other than dropping out of the race on May 14th. If he did endorse Romney, it would resonate with a large portion of what is likely the undecided vote polling at the present time.

        • Scope

According to this article his people will still be agitating for delegates in the states that have already had their caucuses. You are correct, Ron Paul will never do the right thing. Ronnie dances to his own music.

As Rush had said long ago, if someone doesn’t do something to get rid of this guy, he will destroy the Republican Party. He will remain on that destructive path all the way to Tampa.

I understand that judging from your signature you have a cult of the personality problem, but Paul did not endorse McKinney.

He invited all four third party candidates to MEET with him.

In the end, he endorsed Chuck Baldwin.

Stop spreading lies and you may become more credible.

            is a problem.

For a former presidential candidate and long-time congresscritter, it’s a *big* problem…. although it goes very far to explain why Ron Paul is one of the least powerful long-time congresscritters.

Chuck Baldwin, a Constitutionalist, is a far cry from Cynthia, who is a an enviro-Nazi and 911 truther.

…when no one but cranks and potheads take you seriously and you don’t propose a single bit of legislation that ever goes anywhere.

          • conservativerock5

Unfortunately congress is all about kissing butt

          • acat

            Get serious.

Paul Ryan is a terrible congressman. No principles whatsoever. Look at his actual record and actual proposals.

Most of Paul’s bills never passed because they were constitutional and would lead to smaller government, which will never pass in DC.

      • conservativerock5

Johnson doesn’t “get” the Federal Reserve

      • trimulchio

on the Republican “cursus honorum” and probably has something to gain or lose by his action.

I take second place to no man in my delight that Ron Paul is officially out of the race.

But a short diary like this knocks another diary off the diaries list. Short is fine but in the future add some content to the diary.

    • checkmate2012

It seemed llike breaking news but you’re right and I’m wrong. Thanks for letting me know.

  • conservativerock5

He is just not spending money anymore.

He is going to effectively continue his “delegate strategy” all the way to the convention, which really requires no resources anyways, just grassroots organization.

I am hoping that Paul’s delegates will put some serious pressure on Romney at the convention and force him to take a more small government stance on the issues.

    • zachv

Requires funding on some level. Killing off all that funding for a campaign is quintessentially a signal that the campaign is done and over.

      Romney 2012! Nobama!

      • conservativerock5

They will do fine without the campaign spending money.

As a conservative-libertarian Republican, but not a RP supporter, I hope he gets as much delegates as possible. What I do know is that those delegates will put pressure on Romney to stay principled, which we need assurance out of him, and always will.

      • trimulchio

        as rep. Paul’s are.

board a leaky ship on a very windy day and sail out to sea. They will not be missed.

    Yes Akin needs to leave.
This is not about supporting some dimwit who made a dumb statement about a woman’s ability to block getting pregnant by a rapist, its about winning elections. Akin has been set up by the left. He fell into the trap and is now nationally being used as yet another example of why the Republicans hate women and are waging a war on women.
Get rid of akin. Let Sarah Palin pull another candidate, most anyone will work McCaskill is hated so much in Mo., across the finish line and we win another Senate seat. And, the left will lose its Republicans hate women all the time argument. Its not rocket science he just drops out.

have been too busy creating chaos and nightmares at state GOP conventions to bother with doing more money bombs for him. All those poor little old delegates, and now no where to go.

It’s a fantastic day in America to see the Communist sympathizer exit the stage. No one was ready to accept his kind of politics in 08, and again now in 2012, it’s no different.

  • checkmate2012

last night, I’m glad he finally dropped out. And he’s not running for another term in the House! Hopefully he’ll fade away gracefully before he tarnishes his son further.

  • trimulchio

which is a good general lesson overall.

  • trimulchio

a Tea Party/Liberty Movement without Rep. Paul and his committed supporters. On the other hand, their tendnecy to repeat things that are empirically untrue concerns me. That is a sign of “Cult” not “Movement.”

  • mikeymike143

it was started when rick santelli criticized the government bailing out mortgage holders and suggested a ”tea party” to dump the bad paper in the river. that weekend, ”tea party” protests took place all over the united states.

and the legitimate polls taken of tea partiers shows that ron paul was the least popular of all the presidential candidates.

    http://www.redstate.com/mikeymike143/2011/12/12/new-gallup-poll-nutjob-ron-paul-only-gets-7-of-the-tea-party-vote/

    http://www.redstate.com/mikeymike143/2012/01/06/new-polling-for-south-carolina-and-florida-shows-that-rick-santorum-overwhemingly-has-the-support-of-tea-party-voters/

and anti war left liberty movement is neither conservative nor tea party. they are just another shade of left wing liberal.

  • PowerToThePeople

he was just upset that his mouth had overloaded his ass and he could not get earmarks to run his campaign all while screaming about spending.

Quit dancing around the bush, just come out of the closet and admit you are a Ron Paul fan so we can mock you openly. Either that or quit trying to shovel crap around here, we do not care for the smell.

  • mikeymike143

career politican ron paul is one of the biggest porkers in congress. one of the biggest lowlifes in congress too.

  • funwithknives

and I’ll say it again: This is the second iteration of the TEA Party movement in our recent history.
The 90′s saw the Militias and Pro-Se Movements, as well as Constitutionalists galore.
I started out as a Libertarian, but the ‘chowder and marching society’ thing got real old, real fast.
When GWB got elected ,”we got to keep our guns, whooppee” was all anyone was going on about, and the thrill was gone.
TEA Party involvement is basically an “up to here” {your neck}reaction. A NetWork moment,if you will be so kind.
Allies were always lacking in Edition Number One.
Now, they’re everywhere. The Time Had Come and so it has……..
