does impeachment wait until 2014 or after?
UPDATE: I ave no clue why I wrote my “graduation” below. I just finished my freshman year, I didn’t graduate. Calling that a graduation is incredibly lame. Sorry about that I think my brain went awol while writing! Some of my family came up from Texas for my graduation and man did we have a blast! Apart from the plinking and the swimming | Read More »

one lesson of the Ohio kidnapping / hostage case
the horrible story is no less horrible even though it has a happy ending of reunion and the family. But i see one thing in this, notice that the girls were made pregnant by the captors, and one gave birth and has a daughter now. Next time a liberal says a woman who is raped will look at her living daughter and only see her | Read More »
proud to be a RINO
I just realized that “Republican in Name Only” is actually something a conservative should embrace. Far better to be a RINO than a CINO. (Conservative in name only). Now I have defended the need for conservatives like me to stay in the GOP because if we do not then we lose the only vehicle we have for promoting our value to the public in | Read More »
where is the social conservatism at CPAC?
I’ve been following a few people on twitter at CPAC and they haven’t really mentioned social issues yet. Is there anyone covering it for RedState or on Twitter I should follow? Can someone point me to any talks or scheduled sessions that are about ssocial issues? It is really hard to find the information. I assume that it is there but there’s no coverage.
What is a conservative? 4 things
I’m going to start reading Goldwater’s “Conscience of a Conservative” on my Kindle but before I do I wanted to jot down what in my own mind I think about when I say I am a conservative, and I think I have it boiled down to a few things: 1. there is a natural order to how human beings should behave, which originally came from | Read More »
how do we replace Obamacare?
I am going to admit my ignorance and just ask this question aloud, why are we against just allowing anyone who doesn’t have insurance to buy it from Medicare? A lot of young people like me buying insurance from medicare would be premium dollars that would help support the program without much expense since I don’t go to the doctor very often at all. Thats | Read More »
Great op-ed by Gov. Walker on the economic outlook for Wisconsin, compared to nationally: After years of tax increases and budget tricks, Wisconsin faced one of the largest budget deficits in the country — $3.6 billion. Our state government was hemorrhaging money due to fiscally liberal policies which catered to special interest groups and government union bosses. Wisconsin was on the same path as many | Read More »
calling all gamers on Redstate
I am quite disturbed to see so much anger and misunderstanding directed at video games in several comment thread. I had hoped that other gamers might join me in vouching for the value and innocence of our hobby. I enjoy video games as much as I enjoy my real gun ownership and I find that these are perhaps the most honorable and beautiful examples of | Read More »
Scott Walker’s surplus
this is awesome news but not a surprise for anyone paying attention: http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/local/govt-and-politics/wisconsin-budget-surplus-projected-to-grow-to-million/article_ec6cc518-666a-11e2-ac09-0019bb2963f4.html Wisconsin’s budget picture brightened Thursday, with new estimates that show a surplus will grow to $484 million, giving Republicans and Gov. Scott Walker even more room to pursue their tax cutting agenda. The estimate from the nonpartisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau was nearly $137 million better than one Walker’s administration released in | Read More »
