Cherilyn Eagar Endorses Tim Bridgewater for Senate

Cherilyn Eagar Endorses Tim Bridgewater for Senate
Believes Tim Will Represent Utah Best

Wednesday, June 9, 2010

SOUTH JORDAN, UT—Today former Republican candidate for United States Senate and lifelong conservative activist Cherilyn Eagar announced she is endorsing Tim Bridgewater.  “While Mike Lee and Tim Bridgewater are both men I respect and like personally, to me the best choice for Utah is clearly Tim Bridgewater.”

“I am profoundly honored to have Cherilyn’s support.  I have the greatest respect for her and the campaign she ran.  It is also a very good feeling to have a close friendship with those who have run alongside you in campaigns and elections, and I think that speaks to the campaigns we both ran,” said Tim Bridgewater

“My decision to endorse Tim stems from observations I made along the campaign trail over several months.  I saw firsthand how Tim and his campaign conducted themselves with respect and integrity with all the candidates.  I could see his leadership directing them to do so.  His lifelong experience as a businessman creating jobs in the private sector here in Utah is no doubt the kind of experience and background Utah needs from its next senator.  Beyond being a strong leader, Tim has demonstrated mature statesmanship.  He may be uncompromising on principles, but he is always willing to listen and to respect those with whom he differs on policies.  I am very proud to be a Tim Bridgewater supporter and will do what I can to help him become Utah’s next U.S. Senator,” said Cherilyn Eagar.

Since narrowly missing the second ballot at the Utah State Republican Convention, Cherilyn Eagar has been busy advocating conservative issues such as immigration and health care reform.  She has also attended both Mike Lee and Tim Bridgewater events prior to making her final endorsement.  “This endorsement does not come without deep thought and consideration,” said Cherilyn.  “I feel strongly that now is the time for me to take a stand and tell Utah who I will be supporting on June 22nd.

Cherilyn Eagar is a former U.S. Senate candidate and the vice president of WebsTarget, a Salt Lake City-based real estate Internet marketing company. She is a Republican state delegate who also serves on the board of Utah Federation of Republican Women and has worked on political campaigns in five states since 1964.

The fact that she already was cozy with that side and admitted the ‘help’ offer she got from bridgewater team that she might get from them in putting away campaign debts makes this a ‘worth what you paid for it’ endorsement.

Eagar’s endorsement was not paid for. I asked Tim himself.

In my opinion, Lee has been his own worst enemy.
The two recent Lee flyers he has sent out shows the isn’t ready.

You see… it was a joke… do you get jokes?

It’s funny because Eagar was bribed with help to pay off her campaign debt for support for bridgewater… then she claims she rejected the “heartfelt offer”… then a week later endorses the guy… and I’m sure that Bridgewater’s people know how to funnel money through corporations to Eagar’s campaign without it looking like he paid off the debts… so everyone’s integrity is still in place… on the surface… SEE? IT’S Frickin’ HILARIOUS!!!

Well maybe it’s not so funny when I have to explain it… cause actually it’s just downright dirty/underhanded/backroom politics of “kingmakers” and “pawns”…

I guess the question you have to ask yourself is whether or not Cherilyn Eagar is a kingmaker… or a pawn…

        But hey… don’t stop believing… or caring for Utah…

It doesn’t surprise me Cherilyn Eager endorsed Tim Bridgewater. The writing has been on the wall since the beginning of the election cycle. That she didn’t choose the principled conservative in the race, Mike Lee, is also no surprise to me.

Mike Lee has sent no flyers out which indulged in the politics of misdirection and misinformation. There have been many 3rd party groups who have sent information out, and it is a shame they chose to do so. Anyone who really wishes to know what Mike is about should go to www.mikelee2010.com and learn for themselves.

Try looking at the comparison flyer and the list flyer that Mike Sent out.

Mike’s flyers seem to be worse that the 3rd party ones.

All the challengers to Senator Bennett worked hard to run positive, issue-based campaigns. Unfortunately, Club for Growth put negative ads on in Utah attacking Bennett. In addition, a mailer that was sent out by an unknown group (the Lee campaign denounced the mailer and denied sourcing it), associated Mike Lee with the Mormon Temple and Senator Bennett with the U.S. Capitol. Most Utahns, including the Lee campaign, believe that these attacks were unfair and unseemly, and may have actually created sympathy support for Bennett at the convention. This mailer has since been determined to have originated from Democratic sources.

Prior to the convention, Senator Bennett went negative against Mike Lee, taking his words out of context and changing his meaning. This was also unfair, beneath the dignity of Senator Bennett, spoke volumes to the desperation of Bennett’s campaign to continue “my career”, and revealed that the Bennett campaign knew Mike Lee was the candidate they had to beat. That Bridgewater joined Bennett in falsely attacking Lee on these issues, is inconsistent with Bridgewater
