When I was a little girl, I was fascinated by the story of Pinocchio and the idea of noses growing larger with each lie. Forced to be quiet in church, I would spend my time looking around examining people’s snouts. I would stare at men with largess on their faces wondering how many fibs they had told to grow that big schnoz. And when a little girl in my first grade class lied about everything all year long, I puzzled at her little button of a nose. Maybe she just wasn’t old enough to have the length that would give her away to everyone who saw her. As I’ve grown older, I’ve learned many lessons from other people’s lies. I’ve learned that lies kill relationships, end jobs, destroy families and careers. But on the way to those things, deception can buy a lot. I’ve been fooled in relationships and I’ve worked next to liars who smiled while they back-stabbed and sabotaged yet climbed right past me stepping on their falsehoods like rungs on a ladder.

And that is how we got our president. For me, the bloom was never ON the rose with Obama. In the beginning, I wanted to believe him but I was too wise even though obviously many others were not. I was never mesmerized by that lilting voice and I had heard too many lies in my life. His words reminded me of a poem I read in college–”Kiss pretty lies and smile with your hands…” He was kissing the hind ends of those who would eventually vote for him while stealing from their pockets everything they owned.

So it has gotten to the point where I cannot watch this man on television. Long ago I put the sound on mute because I find the inflection of his voice nauseating. A friend read a book on how to tell if someone was lying and said our president has all the non-verbals down pat. Everything that comes out of his mouth is a fabrication. I’ve never seen a human being lie so much and so well to those who can stand to listen or are pea-brained enough to believe him. And the royal elite hung poor Joe Wilson out to dry when he publicly spoke the truth —what we on the right already knew to be true–about the health care bill.

The media lies all the time. Now even pollsters lie. I read on Rush.com about Gallop–a once trusted poll company:

The Gallup poll generic ballot showed the Democrats were all of a sudden way ahead of the Republicans. Nobody could figure it out. “What brought this about? What happened?”…

Well, Neil Stevens at RedState.com has looked into it and has a post that Gallup was caught lying about the generic ballot. “The Gallup Generic Ballot is a trusted, widely reported resource. I’ve analyzed it extensively, and defended it to others. But yesterday, when I covered the poll’s latest release, Gallup lied. I was lied to, you were lied to, everyone who’s trusted the Gallup name got lied to. How? Gallup is combining two different sampling methods into one so-called trend of Registered Voters (complete with captioned graph), getting different results, but pretending they show one trend all the same.”

The scariest part of all of this is that all of them lie to protect Obama, to protect the left and their liberal agenda hell-bent on destroying capitalism and liberty in this country. The fact that even 27% of the population still support the job our president is doing is amazing. Maybe these supporters fell in love with Obama’s lies as the candidate so much that they still are enchanted by his constant campaigning. Maybe his political nose just hasn’t gotten long enough to convince these folks he’s been pulling their chain for the last two years.

But we know what lies and deceit do and Obama’s lies are no different: they’ve destroyed relationships ( and divided our country like no other); his actions have destroyed jobs– and Obama’s and the left’s lies and deception are most certainly devastating capitalism and the constitution.
