Bloomberg Endorses Obama — Are you sure??

Today, in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Michael Bloomberg publicly “endorsed” Obama in his reelection campaign for President. His rationale – Climate Change.

I know New York City is different than where I live in Virginia, but this is insanity at its finest. And I will quote Bloomberg:

And while the increase in extreme weather we have experienced in New York City and around the world may or may not be the result of it, the risk that it might be — given this week’s devastation — should compel all elected leaders to take immediate action.

Bloomberg chose Obama on a whim – one that cannot even be determined with a semblance of reasonability. He chose Obama who has gambled over $90 billion in green energy “investments” that have all turned out to be losing investments.

This endorsement is so ludicrous because even the Obama campaign is not touting its “record” on environmentalism as part of its overall sales pitch as to why Obama should be reelected. Where are the Obama campaign ads talking about how we can literally breathe easier because of his environmental leadership? Don’t bother looking – they aren’t any!

What is this campaign focusing on? In no particular order of importance, there have been campaign ads focusing on:

  • The Economy
  • Jobs
  • Healthcare
  • Trust/Character Issues
  • Libya, Middle East
  • The Deficit

To name just a few. Here is Bloomberg’s assessment of Obama on these issues:

…as president, he devoted little time and effort to developing and sustaining a coalition of centrists, which doomed hope for any real progress on illegal guns, immigration, tax reform, job creation and deficit reduction. And rather than uniting the country around a message of shared sacrifice, he engaged in partisan attacks and has embraced a divisive populist agenda focused more on redistributing income than creating it.

And liberals want to call this an endorsement???

THIS WAS THE DUMBEST ENDORSEMENT EVER.

Never mind the obvious fact that ‘climate change’ legislation was and is just another one of those 2008 promises that got broken and is now being recycled in 2012. Never mind that extreme weather like Sandy makes a mockery of Obama’s fallacious and arrogant “this is the time when the seas stopped rising” claims in 2008.

Put that aside. Endorsing based on ‘who will not make hte weather bad’ is lunacy. That’s the dumbest reason for an endorsement that I have ever heard
in my entire life. so he was ready to endorse Romney but Sandy dumped a lot of

water on New York city and he has to support Mr Status Quo because,
what, exacty? Obama will actually make the seas recede? But if he was
going to do that, why didnt he do it in his FIRST four years?

This is dumber than the ‘lady parts’ endrosement.
Dumber than Madonna’s endorsement. Dumber than the ‘he has to finish
what he started’ excuse (Obama is a one man wrecking crew).
Bloomberg is not an idiot, so I have to conclude he is lying

Agreed — I couldn’t believe the liberal hysteria when I read through the whole endorsement.

LOL. We are getting thumb’s DOWN on our comments.

Come now lurkers, tell us why this isn’t the dumbest endorsement ever.

“I have found the past four years to be, in a word, disappointing. In
        2008, Obama ran as a pragmatic problem-solver and consensus-builder.
But as president, he devoted little time and effort to developing and
        sustaining a coalition of centrists”

… because he ISNT one, sucker. So you supported Obama based on a lie, he’s let you down, and now you act like an abused housewife or a prisoner with Stockholm syndrome and vote for 4 more years of the same phony baloney.

“Vote Obama. For the weather.” is weak, weak, weak, weak.

        • chrisinva

I noticed that too on a couple of my comments. Liberals can’t handle the truth. Oh, well — it is still the truth.

I wonder if the other pet issue- gun control- figured in Bloomie’s endorsement. F&F.

    • chrisinva

Understood — but F&F would be just another reason not to support Obama.

Believe me, this is good news for Romney. Every member of the NRA is well aware of Bloomberg’s gun-grabbing agenda. This will only motivate more gun owners and hunters to show up for Romney.

    • chrisinva

Sounds like a plan to me. Never been much into guns myself — but I am thinking about buying a couple after this presidency for various insundry reasons.
