Obama’s Columbia Thesis: He hates the Framers and their handiwork, the Constitution, too.

Joe Klein, reportedly, has “sat on” Teleprompter Boy’s Columbia thesis since 2007.

Here’s the money quote from it:

“… the Constitution allows for many things, but what it does not allow is the most revealing. The so-called Founders did not allow for economic freedom. While political freedom is supposedly a cornerstone of the document, the distribution of wealth is not even mentioned. While many believed that the new Constitution gave them liberty, it instead fitted them with the shackles of hypocrisy.”

The “so-called Founders.”  The Founders “did not allow for economic freedom.”  “Supposedly” political freedom is a cornerstone of the Constitution.  Darn it, “the distribution of wealth is not even mentioned” in the Constitution.  The Constitution fitted those who believed the document gave them liberty, instead, with “the shackles of hypocrisy.”

Whew!  Lots to unpack there.

Start here.

Rush talked about it today, too.

Thank you.

You’re comment went up as I was writing my second one!

And the links. I, too, could not find any story by Klein and, frankly, don’t have the time to ferret it out right now.

        Time will tell.
        Thanks, all.

This is exactly what The Anointed One whispers to Michelle in the dark privacy of the Lincoln Bedroom. And that visual is almost as disturbing as his “probable” beliefs about the Constitution.

    Or his undergrad transcripts?
    Or his undergrad college applications?
His student loan information? How much? When and how paid off?
Or his LSAT test results and Harvard Law School application and transcripts?
Or application to the Illinois bar?
    Or his passport records?
Who financed his trips abroad while a college student? Where’d he go? Who’d he visit? Who traveled with him?
    Where’s his full work history?
    Where are his medical records?
And on, and on, and on.

Recall the Minion Media’s dogged pursuit of, and November surprise of, GWB’s driving under the influence episode?
And Dan Rather’s dogged pursuit of the fake Texas Air National Guard docs? Which would have been accepted as fact but for some sleuthing by a blogger?

And so it goes. The Minion Media is really the issue here: why didn’t they demand all these records, dogged investigative journalists that they all are (not)?

    Thank you.

About this and almost anything else that might stain Obama.

      • janis

big rocks and old pieces of rotting lumber in the great outdoors. God only knows what nasty things might lurk underneath there. And some of them could be fatal.

        • Joe Rivers

I never did pluck legs off grasshoppers, never torched them with a magnifying glass. But I kicked over lots of anthills, busted up old rotten logs, turned over rocks, and dropped bacon bait down crawdad holes.

          • janis

her own good. She stuck her nose in a crawdad hole with the predictable results. Needless to say, she never did it again. I was terrified of all things crawly when very young, but my grandkids marvel to see me now enthusing over the wonders of large garden spiders and their lovely webs.

Still not too fond of grasshoppers, though. One summer we had so many of them that I discovered a couple of huge ones trying to gnaw their way through a screen window. Pretty sure that was during the last of the Clinton years when it seemed that Biblical plagues might be headed our way. Hmmm…… Time to go check the screens again.

I’ve been trying to track it down.

Brian Lancaster at Jumping in Pools seems to have originated this quote. On Tuesday, August 25, 2009 Brian Lancaster references Joe Klein writing about this thesis for an upcoming edition at Time. He provides NO link to Time.

I have spent over an hour trying to find Joe Klein’s words on this. I CANNOT find anything, nor can I find anyone else with an original link to this thesis.

Many people, including Hot Air are linking to Michael Ledeen who picked it up from Lancaster. Ledeen is credible but he has no link to Time either. He just quotes Lancaster.

Until someone shows me the Klein link or another link to the transcript of the thesis I will remain skeptical.

before I finished editing the comment:

While Obama did say similar things in 2001, the Lancaster write up is more damaging, but so far I remain skeptical to its credibility. In fact, campaign references to his missing thesis indicate it was on Soviet nuclear disarmament.

The column states it was written by Brian Lancaster, yet at the bottom of the page it says it was posted by Matthew Avitabile.

There are no links within the post to Lancaster or Klein. Who is Brian Lancaster?

There are some red flags here.

So the left can discredit us like we hit the, over the fake Rush quotes?

I bet 72 hours will tell us alot about this. Alot of loose strings, alot of names we know have their names assocated with this. Explosive content, if verified. Medium-size scandal if it’s made up.

Of course, the Obama Administration could clear the whole thing up by putting the actual thesis out there. Watch that happen when pigs fly or when the Texas Rangers win the World Series.

there are so many ways for the 0bama to threaten people into silence over this.

remember the car dealers? why aren’t we hearing any more about them? it’s because they were scared silent.

and now he threatens taking fox off the air and to bankrupt companies that don’t do exactly what he says.

my hunch is it might be real. but we’ll never know. just like with so much else about this illegal alien fake Christian.
