MEMBER DIARY

Watched Glenn Beck again tonight: But what, Mr. Beck, are we to DO? What’s the W,W,W,W,W and H about what to DO?

Like you may, I listen to, when I can, conservative talk radio programs and watch, when I can, Fox News television programs.

Radio: Bennett (rarely — I’m not usually up that early, thank goodness), Ingraham, Limbaugh, Hannity, Medved, Hewitt, Levin.

TV: Hannity, Beck, Greta. (Can’t stand O’Reilly, but to each his own.)

Watching Beck right now. Each time I watch, it’s the same:

“OMG!!!! There have been and are are bad people!!! And they’re in charge of government! Did you know that!!! It’s a crisis! Just wait until tomorrow!!!! I’ll have more!!!!!”

But he never suggests what people are supposed to DO to CHANGE things.

(I acknowledge that Beck has been successful in calling attention to Van Jones and Anita Dunn and causing their departures from the Opuppet Administration.)

Nothing about the WHO and WHAT to CHANGE things: that each good, decent, conservative American needs to unite with others to change the outcome of the elections.

Nothing about the WHEN to change things: NOW! That each good, decent, conservative American needs to get involved in party politics NOW!

Nothing about the WHERE to change things: that each good, decent, conservative American needs to get INSIDE the party of their choice to unite with other like-minded people to make sure the BEST people win the all-important, very-low-turn-out primary elections.

Nothing about the WHY to change things: well, actually, that’s obvious to us all, and I think, to be fair, Beck does tell us that if Opuppet and his handlers aren’t stopped, they will usher in the destruction of our republican form of government.

Nothing about the HOW to change things: absolutely nothing about the nuts and bolts of actually getting inside the party of one’s choice as a precinct committeemen to actually change the party from within and how this all works.

No Who, What, When, Where, Why and, most importantly, How to change things politically.

Why doesn’t Beck talk about this? And the others? Not sure.

But I hope those who call them and contact them will ask them.

I have. And have yet to receive an answer from any of them.

For Liberty,
ColdWarrior, PC (that’s “precinct committeeman,” not “political child!”)
Conservatives, UNITE! CHANGE the Republican Party and save the world by UNITING INSIDE the Party as precinct committeemen. NOW!

American first, conservative second, Republican precinct committeeman BY NECESSITY!

ThePrecinctProject, so you can say, “I became a precinct committeeman before it was cool.”

and I because of YOU scream at the radio NOOOOOOOOOOOOO not just vote become a Committeeperson!!!!!!!

I don’t know how you break through the fog of those on the RIGHT to acknowledge that the problems within the GOP are fixable vis a vis getting INTO the Party and SHAKING OFF the liberalism that has crept into it!

If Beck told you what to do, then he would be an advocate and we would be his puppets just like the left say we are.

In fact Rush is exactly the same way isn’t he? I have heard him for years and he never tells you what to do, he never organizes drives to call congress, he doesn’t even tell you how to vote.

It is enough that they get the message out there. That is their job. It is up to us (especially on the blogosphere) to do the organizing, and I know YOU are doing your part with the precinct committeeman project.

    So don’t sweat it.

Funny thing about personal choices. I love O’Reilly and his combative nature, I hate Bennet and Hannity they are pedantic, repetitive, and talk down to people.

you will never get him to promote the Precinct Committeeman project because he is not a Democrat or a Republican. He is a kinda sorta Libertarian/Conservative, I think. Go back to his comment when he told the Young Republicans he had on his show, that he voted for Lieberman twice, not because he agrees with him on anything, but because he thought he was a man of honor. I wonder if he would do the same now in light of the fact that Lieberman is a sponsor of the Cap and Trade legislation now coming forth in the Senate. Isn’t Cap and Trade exactly the destruction that Beck is screaming about for months/years now? To me that’s like saying I’m going to go to bat for my local priest, because he is a man of the cloth, even when he was arrested for Pediophilia.

Beck’s value is in bringing forth well researched info about the worst in the Obama admin., including Obama himself. He let’s these people say it in their own words. I’m glad to have that info out there, for all who are willing to open their eyes. It appears that he is indirectly telling everyone to look out for the Progressives/Socialists/Marxists/Communists. I believe that he once said that these people have taken over the Democrat party, and have remade it into the Progressive party. Where he confuses is when he starts throwing the Republicans under the bus, and, then seems to indicate that all R’s are just as bad, when that simply isn’t the case. If he went after the worst of the Republican’s McCain, Snowe, Collins, Graham et all, he would be a real driving force, as most Republicans know who the destructive forces are in the R party. Right now I’m thinking about Snowe, Collins and Brown voting with the D’s on the Financial Reform legislation. Anyone have any doubt it will become law now?

I agree with you on O’Reilly. His big show of Bravado and Loudmouthery is for no other reason other than ratings. We unfortunately do still have people who “enjoy” cockfighting, with all it’s blood and gore. O’Reilly is like a bad debate moderator. He allows no guests, or anyone to even finish a sentence before booming his own ideas/opinions over them. He wins every debate, every time. Just ask him, he’ll tell you. Limbaugh is right, he is nothing but a bufoon, and those that watch him learn nothing but bufoonery, and a loudmouthed version at that.

Since you don’t have a recco button on your diaries. Ever find out why that is so?

I sent my informaiton in. I have called several times. I was told once that my precinct already has one, but they would put me in touch with that person so I could assist. I did make calls for a local R candidate in a special election

I have joined the county GOP, been attending local GOP meetings (will join tthem at the next meeting — managing my cash flow). I can’t attend every fundraiser/party they have, but I am not fond of the cold shoulder.

Meanwhile, I saw a truly awesome candidate who was holding a local office on an interim basis (appointed) go down in the primary. Yes I voted and made my hubby vote too.

Not sure what else to do, but I have come to this site a lot complaining and whining and wanted some thoughts on things I can do to be more productive.

My next step is just to find different ways through the website that I can volunteer my support.

You should be able to find your PC through your county GOP. You may well have to do it in person, at one of the meetings. There should be a Precinct Committee as well as just the PC, there will be positions on that, your PC will need help, as well as an opportunity to fill vacant slots elsewhere in your county. Don’t give up!

I called again and learned about some training in about a week. So timing is perfect. They indicated that they do have an email list, and for some reason, my name was left off it.

        Appreciate the encouragement!

The system apparentlyt hinks all your posts were p romoted to the front and so it won’t let anyone recommend.

Now that I know what’s *wrong* thanks to an informational code deployment this afternoon, I can look into fixing it.
